It was served warm (wrapped in foil) but the pork was rather dry, stringy and bland and the quality of ingredients, from the pickles to the slice of ham, was unremarkable. The sandwich could use more ham as well. Goza Goza is mobile taco truck, so you'll find tacos (of course), burritos, and quesadillas. They also have licuados and sandwiches (steak, Cuban). Regular tacos: $1.50; they didn't list the meats they offer. Super tacos are $4, burritos $6 and quesadillas $5. They have drinks (hot and cold) and chips too. The food inspection score was 100. Parking is a challenge in that area and there isn't any place to sit. The ambiance can be described as industrial with generous amounts of car exhaust fumes.

I've been to LA and I've seen the light of Sergio's and El Taurino, and I've stalked International Blvd. in Fruitvale many a night. That said, this taco truck is not only one of the cheapest lunches in the area near my office, but it offers a startlingly good salsa roja, salty carnitas and top-notch asada. After scouring for cheap eats for two weeks, Goza Goza rekindled my love affair with the taco. I was doubtful at first, and was really worried, considering some of the reviews here (wtf is up with the guy bothered by no wheat tortillas? Go back to Chipotle.) but Goza Goza delivers. I got four regular tacos, which by me is really the only way to go with a truck like this, with a 2x2 lineup of carnitas and asada. At first bite, I was a little underwhelmed by the salsa, but by taco #2, the heat had added up and I could feel juuust the right amount of lip burn. The carnitas, as well, disappointed at first, but by the end, I wanted more salty shredded pork from Goza Goza. The asada had a solid flavor, and although tended to sit on the slightly fatty side of the asada spectrum, it delivered with plenty of flavor and just enough chewiness to balance the fresh crispiness from the grill. Negative points for no jalapenos or spicy carrots on the side and needing more salsa per taco, but there's nothing here that will keep me from eating tacos here pretty much every day. Goza Goza, this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

I even heard a couple say let's keep walking as there is no line. Since the food options looked intriguing and yelp reviewers gave it a thumbs up, I decided to try it. Not only was the presentation and combination of sandwich and veggies enticing, the food tasted great! After all, life is about experiences and I am once again happy I ventured out. Stumbled across Linda's Catering when looking online for asian options and went to go try out her ramen. Straight off the truck, the miso ramen was really amazing and a decent portion for lunch or dinner. I also tried her spicy tuna burrito, which came highly recommended and that was tasty too. Basically it's a ginormous maki roll. After deciding to have Linda be one of our caters for the wedding reception, it was extremely pleasant and easy to work with her. She runs a small business and was more than willing to accommodate us anyway she could help out. Her prices were very reasonable and for what our guests got, it was definitely worth it! Our guests loved the ramen and thought it was very fun and it provided just the right thing on a cooler outdoor evening reception. We ended up getting half portions to not overwhelm everyone with all our different food truck foods and it worked out great. I cannot say how nice Linda was or how hard she worked to make our wedding special. She was always all smiles and it was so kind that she was really happy to be part of the whole wedding and wished us well. Carne Asada Super Burrito: The steak seemed pretty high quality, nicely grilled with a good chew. Just the right mix of rice and beans to add texture, but not be too carby. Got the super version so had some nice creamy filling with cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Salsa on the side, which was essentially to added a nice tang. Al Pastor Quesadilla: Thought about eating this at my desk, but I opened it up and it was super greasy. Went to the breakroom and got a bunch of napkins. Messy, but delicious. For the last few months I've been perusing by thinking I should probably try out the taco truck. If that many people are in line, it must be good... but wait there's more. While the price point is very reasonable and service is efficient, I was disappointed with the final product. Hungry and with urgency, I took my hefty carne asada burrito to a bench a few blocks away and quickly unwrapped it only to discover that the end I opened was on the soggy side. Greasy, the oil ran down my hands, hmmm. I didn't have enough napkins to absorb it all, but managed to eat half of it. Now about the burrito itself. The burrito was missing key ingredients that were listed in the menu in front of the truck. No cilantro. No salsa. What? Anyway, the meat seemed over cooked and the flavor was okay. Interestingly, they used a shorter rice grain which reminded me of couscous. Truth. The taco truck serves a purpose as casual Mexican joints are pretty scarce in the area. Los Compadres continues to have its long lines and customers, I'm just not a fan.

Pupusa (Pork and Cheese): 4 stars Soft and moist and the pork meat was also well braised. Served with a tangy spicy slaw. Plantains with Sour Cream: 4.5 stars So delicious, they are fried till golden and soft. I paid only $8 for the Pupusa + plantains, but the Tortas are $9 and Cuban sandwiches $8, which I sense might be overpriced. Will have to come back to reevaluate.
