I ordered China Wok through GrubHub while staying overnight in St Mary's, OH. There are two…read morecomments I need to make - first about China Wok and second about the delivery. I ordered steamed dumplings and their Chef's special - Steak and Scallops. It was ordered through the GrubHub website and I was given a delivery time range, as they normally do. The food was okay, or at least what I could eat of it. When they packed the meal, they forgot to add any utensils. I tried to chase down the "Dasher" but even though I was next to her car waving frantically, she either didn't see me or chose not to. Dumplings can be finger food, but I'm afraid that any Chinese dish in a brown sauce isn't. The dumplings were well made and I did like the dipping sauce. As for the Steak and Scallops - I did try it using my fingers, which wasn't particularly enjoyable. The steak was tender and well flavored. There were ample vegetables in the dinner. The scallops were about pea-sized... I've never seen anything like that before. Typically, scallops are about an inch in diameter? They were kind of flavorless. Without utensils, I really couldn't eat rice nor eat the meal. So, I tried to contact GrubHub. They hid or got rid of their chat function so I emailed and did get a pretty rapid response saying they issues a $5 credit for the problem. We emailed back and forth a few times as I tried to explain I wanted either a refund or someone to deliver something I could use to eat the food with. Finally, the GrubHub rep told me to use their online form for faster service. I did and their autoresponder told me to expect a reply in 24 to 48 hours. I threw out the food. They simply could have contacted the restaurant, had them fix the problem, and take back the $5 credit. 24 hours, almost to the minute, I heard back from them. After a few emails, they won't stand by any sort of guarantee on this. How does a $5 credit solve the problem? As for China Wok, I would return again but would not use GrubHub. As for GrubHub, I don't suggest you use them for delivery from here.

A True Celina Gem - Still Open, Still Delicious!…read more Let's clear this up right away: this China Wok location on North Main Street, next to Chief Supermarket, is absolutely open and just as amazing as ever. Please don't let that one inaccurate 1-star review below mislead you--this place is alive and thriving! I've been eating at this China Wok since I was a kid, and to me, it will always be the best Chinese food because it was my first, and it's stayed consistently delicious all these years. It's more than just a restaurant--it's a staple of Celina, a part of my hometown memories. The crab Rangoon are phenomenal--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. And I've always loved the dumplings fried on both sides (childhood tradition!)--that's still my favorite way to get them. The combos are the way to go--great portions, perfect variety, and an unbeatable value. If you ask me, the best combo is the General Tso's chicken--tender, perfectly sauced, served with their classic fried rice, some fresh broccoli, and an egg roll. But honestly? There's no bad choice here. The string beans, the appetizers, the soups--everything is consistently great. I want to personally thank the owners for keeping this place going strong, for never cutting corners, and for offering the same take-out sauces that have always been part of the experience. That kind of consistency and care really means a lot. China Wok has always been--and always will be--a treasured part of Celina for me. 天天快樂

From the friendly and prompt service, to the food that's always great (and really well-priced, especially compared to Wu's which is absurdly overpriced), China Palace does it right. It's without a doubt, our favorite lunch spot on the South side of town... We eat there a couple of times a month. Aside from the food, the owners "Kim and Yung" are some of the nicest and friendliest people you will meet in the industry - They always come and talk to all their customers and thank everyone for the business. Definitely check out China Place if you're looking for a great Chinese spot on the South end of town.
