Unfortunately, our experience here was very disappointing…read more The ambiance was nice at first, but while we were seated we witnessed a customer arguing with a server over a payment issue. We didn't think much of it at the time, but by the end of our own meal, we unfortunately understood why. The food was decent overall, but the pizzas were a major letdown. They had barely any cheese and were overloaded with tomato sauce, making them feel very unbalanced and disappointing. The biggest issue, however, was with the bill. A dish that we never ordered was brought to our table and then added to our check. When we pointed it out, we expected a simple correction or refund. Instead, we were told they would not remove the charge, leaving us to pay for food we never asked for. That is completely unacceptable and left a very bad impression. We also came as a family of five. There were mostly two- and four-person tables available, and we politely asked if we could move two tables together so we could sit as a family. We were told no, even though we were willing to make it work by having one of the kids sit on a parent's lap. It made the experience feel unnecessarily inconvenient. I do want to mention that most of the servers themselves were friendly and polite throughout our visit. However, good service from individual staff members doesn't make up for being charged for something we didn't order or how the situation was handled afterward. Overall, this experience felt very disappointing and poorly managed. Being required to pay for food we never ordered is not something any customer should have to deal with. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, but based on our experience, I would not recommend dining here.

The service was also good, and the staff were friendly and kept things moving despite how busy it was. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because the restaurant was absolutely scorching hot inside and extremely packed. It made the meal a little less comfortable than it could have been. Other than that, it was a great place to eat with quality Italian food. If they can improve the temperature and crowding, it would easily be a five-star experience.

It's located beside the outdoor cinema which Villa Borghese hosts quite often and while I was here in the middle of the day (hence no film) this was indeed a welcome place to just sit, relax, have a Roman moment to yourself and maybe have a drink and something to nibble. I'd say the clientele were evenly split between tourists and local Roman couples meeting up for afternoon assignations. I had a plate of cold cuts and Italian cheeses with some wine and it was the perfect afternoon snack. I saw other items on the menu including steak tartare, Roman style pizza, and panini sandwiches and desserts like tiramisu of course. I really enjoyed it here being in the calm of the park and away from the touristy madness which has engulfed Rome.
