She will not go easy on you, and there are many times I am thinking "are you SERIOUS???!!" during a grueling work out, but I know that she is just pushing me to do my best. She truly cares about each and every one of her clients and it shows. She is funny and nice and a meanie when it comes to work outs, and I am so grateful for her hard work pushing me to be a healthier person!!

Wonderful gym, wonderful staff…read more I've been working with Ashlee for almost a year. I came in with a history of awful knee injuries, multiple surgeries followed by iffy recoveries, and little to no faith in the muscles in my lower body. In less than 12 months I've gone from constantly worrying about those shaky knees to feeling real confidence in my movements. Doubling my PRs has just been an added perk... Ashlee has been awesome in creating tailored programs for me and what I need. Just as important, she fosters a welcoming and encouraging environment in the group training sessions that make them more enjoyable than they have any business being. If you want help with nutrition, she's got you. If you want suggestions for good obscure metal bands, she's got you there too. When you look at my Yelp history, you'll notice that I've only ever reviewed moving companies. Couldn't be happier that my first non-moving related assessment is ReDefineRVA and Ashlee. Couldn't recommend both more!

Quality of service makes a business. The gym is OK,…read morefacilities are fine. The front desk service is good, however, the personal trainers are to busy in the phone texting to answer any questions and seemed annoyed if interrupted for enquires. Also they advertise a seven day free trial and filing out the form at home or going to the gym with from the desk person could not get it to generate a pass.

Staff members are often on their phones rather than greeting members or assisting at the front desk. On more than one occasion, I've stood waiting to be checked in for several minutes because employees were either in the back or focused on their phones. The manager or assistant manager (I'm not sure of her exact role) is particularly unwelcoming. She rarely smiles, never greets members, and often gives the impression that acknowledging customers is an inconvenience. Her attitude comes across as dismissive and unfriendly, which sets a poor tone for the entire facility. It's unfortunate because the gym clearly puts a lot of effort into maintaining a clean environment. I only wish the same level of attention and pride were put into customer service and member experience.
