It's been several years sense we ate at Ribcrib. So while we were in Owasso we stopped by to give it a try around four o'clock. This time of a work day is usually not busy as it falls between lunch and dinner times. However this restaurant was busy. We were greeted at the door by a friendly hostess who led us to our booth. And promptly greeted by our server (Xander). We ordered chips and queso as an appetizer. My wife ordered the Super Spud with a side salad. I ordered the three meet combo of Hot links, ribs and bologna. With fries and onion rings. The queso and chips appetizer was a large and tasty order. My wife's Super Spud was huge with lots of chopped brisket and cheese. Her salad was also a large bowl of fresh, crisp vegetables. My BBQ was tender and tasty as well as the onion rings and fries. Our server (Xander) was very professional and courteous. In fact Xander went beyond and above our expectations as a server.

The problem with chain BBQ places is at a point they start to centralize their meal prep. Meats are smoked centrally, refrigerated or frozen, and shipped to distant outposts. This Tulsa-based regional BBQ operation has so far resisted that. You can smell the smoke when you enter and taste it in the meat. Hot links had the right amount of pepper heat and brisket was smoky, retaining a bit of cooking moisture. Sides were also satisfactory. I added a bit of chopped brisket to my green beans, which elevated the taste.

Stopped in because I wanted something different. Grabbed the smoked queso with shredded beef. I didn't mind it. Although next time I will just get the BBQ. It didn't really takes like smoked queso in my opinion. For it to be BBQ salsa, it was delicious. It cost around $8 bucks. The lady at the drive thru window was nice and make conversation. I called it in ahead but was still able to use the drive thru which was a score. While I only came in contact with one person, she did not have a mask on. I didn't go in the restaurant so I am not sure how they are handling covid. I will return her again in the near future.

Rib Crib is a chain I've been to a handful of times. The last time was on 06/27/13. The sauce tastes like high fructose corn syrup. It's very sweet. The meat is nothing to write home about and the sides are palatable. There's nothing special about the food here although the service is decent. The place seems a little dead during dinner time which speaks for itself.

A standard american barbecue place with good sauces. My last visit on Thursday night was quite disappointing, the place has Ribs on the name and guess what: they were out of baby back ribs! The food is tasty, sauces are good and the food came very fast to our table. The portion size is great, a lot o food for a fair price.

I've been to this Rib Crib a few times now. Every time the service has been great. The dry ribs are really good. My favorite sides are the macaroni and cheese and the side salad. My favorite item on the menu is the Super Spud. I never can finish it all but it's really good. Overall for a chain restaurant I think they do a great job.

Wow! Great location, family friendly, plenty of seating. No wait to be seated. Waitress friendly. Food came out quick, hot and so good!!! We ordered a children's chicken strips, a club and a pulled pork sandwich all of which came with seasoned fries. Visiting Owasso 4th time this year and first time at this restaurant. Will definitely come again when in the area.

We had ribs and pulled pork for the meats and mac and cheese, corn on the cob and baked beans for the sides. Some of us cleaned our plates and for those who couldn't we boxed it up. The ribs are tender and delicious and this barbecue spot does sliced toasted bread instead of putting just a slice of white bread like some BBQ spots. We enjoyed the food and the wonderful customer service. Trails End was really good!

It is exactly as it is described on the menu, "tender and juicy." A large order of this to go, would complement that thanksgiving dinner. Ribs and that turkey were on my plate, with baked beans and slaw. The sides here are very good. The ribs big and meaty, perfect texture. They use a slightly sweet rub with a hint of cinnamon. Me, not a big fan of the rub, but that is just my preference. The pit master does know how to smoke meat. Brisket next time. Great friendly service. The menu is online.

Decided to just do some BBQ research in Owasso.... so today I headed to Billy Sim's BBQ for lunch…read more I ordered the 2 meat dinner with pulled pork and bologna, beans and potato salad, water to drink. Ordering is simple and not at all confusing. Read from a simple menu, place your order and get in the line to the cash register. Honestly the dude behind the counter was less than congenial, but it didn't impact my lunch or my review. Food was ready soon enough, given the 5 people ahead of me, so I count that as speedy enough. Food, in tasting order.... The toast.... definitely not the star of the plate. Texas toast instead of regular sliced, so it was more dense and chewy, and only toasted on one side. Who does that? And it wasn't hot or fresh. You could tell it'd been toasted and held for a while. But, you don't go to a BBQ joint for the toast, so that is what it is. The beans.... BS does what they call 'cowboy beans', and they're good, if not a little one-note. Basically they were canned pork and beans with some meat thrown in and a splash or two of BBQ sauce. I doubt they'd seen the inside of a smoker. They were fine, but they could have been oh so much more with just a little time and effort. The potato salad.... tender, creamy and packing a subtle but noticeable tang. I wouldn't call it outstanding, but it was a definite addition to the plate. The pulled pork... while having a moderate smoky flavor, it was also dry, lacking any of that fatty, juicy mouth feel that a good pulled pork should have. And, it got cold really quickly, so I suspect their holding process needs to be tweaked. You can hold pulled pork for a good long time without it drying out if you make the effort. The few bits of bark I got were outstanding, they were just few and far between. The bologna... sliced sandwich thin, there were at least 2 slices. It was pretty well done.... good taste, texture and mouth feel. I felt a little miffed at how thin it was sliced, but I readily admit that's just me. When I do it at home, it's sliced nearly 1/2" thick so you get a good bite. Again, not a detraction here, just an observation. The meats are 1/4lb each, clearly stated when you order, so you know what you're getting. Personally, I think the portions were a bit light for the money, but I don't run a restaurant and I'm not privy to BS's P&L statements, so that will just remain an opinion and nothing more. Cost ran to $19.51 for lunch, which is about a buck more than OJ's, but I also got a tad more food and it was a whole lot better, so I think value wise, BS nosed out a win on that score.

This past weekend, I was in Oklahoma and stopped by Billy Sims BBQ with my family. This is an order-at-the-counter place with self-serve drinks. I told the guy who took my order that I am celiac and he instinctively grabbed a piece of bread to put in the toaster, caught himself and asked me if I wanted him to change gloves. He and the manager told me that their potato salad, their meats and their sauces are gluten-free! Aside from their $5.99 sandwich and drink deal which is an amazing value but not gluten-free (my husband ordered it for himself) we got a few items to share with family. For $21.99 we got a 3 meat plate which came with 2 sides, pickles, peppers, onions and a slice of bread (obviously I didn't get bread.) I chose the polish sausage, sliced brisket and pulled pork along with double potato salad. My other family members ordered the $12.99 smothered baked potato (jacket potato) that comes with butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, meat, sauce. They wanted to split it so the potato pictured is only half of the potato! It's huge! This is a casual restaurant chain owned by a former local footballer, and there are locations in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan in the USA. While the brisket was a tad dry for my tastes, I enjoyed all the sauces, the other meats and sides. The service was great and the price was a fantastic value. Visited: April 2024

We had the cauliflower and also the brussels sprouts. Yum! I tried to twisted pineapple drink, very good and very sweet. And I had the Brandy Alexander drink. Very tasty as well. But.... I ordered something I had never tried before, the peppercorn steak. There were two other ladies at my table that ordered it as well. I'm guessing it must be put into the description next time for everyone else, but we were all not aware it would come out ice cold. And I'm not joking when I say it was extremely cold and the sauce on top was Like it came right out of the refrigerator and poured on. I felt bad because the lady next to me had never been here before. So that is her one and so far only experience with smoke. I doubt they would ever return. Again, if it's going to come out cold and maybe that's how it is served, it would be nice if it had said so in the description. I would've gotten the normal Wagyu burger, which is always amazing. Or a different steak. I'm only giving three stars because the service was outstanding. The main entrée should've been but definitely was not.
