I've driven by The rib crib I don't know how many times and thought to myself why would I ever go there. Expectation level, zero Boy was I wrong! For a little chain BBQ joint, flavor was off the charts. I wanted more and more of the spicy sausage. It even packed a Kik for once. 1.5 stars! I am sorry the smell when you enter gives you false hope that you will receive something yummy. The restaurant is clean and stays busy still after all these years. This BBQ is unacceptable, extremely dry, no flavor, Mac-n-cheese was not that good. My mash potatoes came out cold. The catfish was actually good, but this is a BBQ place. The sweet tea was good and sweet. The beans tasted like Bushe's baked beans and my friend said her potato salad was okay. She hadn't been here in years either, but we both left disappointed. The meat was sooooo dry it didn't matter how much sauce was on it you felt like it was scratching up your throat trying to get it down. I got a 2 meat plate and had to pay $2.00 extra for the brisket. $1.00 extra for the catfish. I didn't realize that the mac-n-cheese did not come with my meal and ended up paying $3.00 for it and was not good, I ate a bit then threw it away. They do have military discount and good customer service which is why they got 1.5 stars, but other than that if you want Texas BBQ and have a pallet of any kind this place is not for you. Manager is kinda a Karen. My boyfriend and I spend everyday 8 am to sometimes midnight doing Ubereats and DoorDash orders. During those times of constantly being in the car (sometimes with 3 kids) we use public restrooms. Today my boyfriend was asked why he came in and used the bathroom even though he "doesn't buy anything". We have actually bought dinner a few times here while we are out and about but never again. Awesome place with good food. Ordered brisket and smoked sausage. I used the house barbecue sauce from the table. Everything tasted awesome. The brisket was dry but aside from that the food was great. I had the fried okra and the sweet and smokey beans. Both of these sides tasted great. Not the best barbecue I have had but it was certainly appetizing. Service was great. She was attentive and checked on us the right amount. Atmosphere was like your typical bar area with some classic rock in the background (which I hate). It was just enough that we didn't talk a lot but we could still hear one another. Great place for some BBQ w/good seating and TV coverage of ongoing sports, etc. I opted for the 3 meat combo w/2 sides to maximize my sample of their BBQ. On my plate was 2 tender ribs, 6 slices of moist turkey, and a nice portion of brisket w/that right about of "pull." My sides of fried okra was freshly fried and tasty. The mac and cheese wasn't bad, not their highlight per say but this is a BBQ joint, thats what matters. And a slice of TX toast. Compared to another local BBQ establishment RibCrib runs away w/the win. Tastey, 3 different sauces from hot, carolina, to reg (think sweet baby rays like) and i enjoyed them all. I have to be honest . . . . I had one of the best BBQ meals here. In fact my wife and picky eater 10 year old loved it was well. My wife had the 3 meat plate and LOVED the ribs. She usually prefers beef ribs, but said that these pork ribs had the most meat (and hardly any fat) of any pork rib she's ever had . . . and the meat fell off the bone. I had the 3 meat plate and enjoyed ALL three meats (Turkey, Chicken and Sausage). Everything was fantastic. The kiddo enjoyed the sliced chicken plate and couldn't get enough of the Mac-N-Cheese. Their food is amazing. The staff really treats people as family and friends. Love eating there. We have service dogs and I personally am 100% disabled and all of the staff really go the extra mile even more than that to make sure it's a great dining experience. We met some family here for lunch the day after thanksgiving. We came hungry, knowing that Texas BBQ is so much different from CA. I ordered the pulled pork and smoked chicken, and it was ok. The flavor was good, but everything was so dry. Pulled pork shouldn't be dry. The service was excellent, and the sweet tea could stand a spoon in it, but the meat itself just left a lot to be desired. Peoples tastes vary, so don't let this review keep you away. We went to our local rib crib and had a nice lunch. There were 5 of us. We had a couple orders that were a bit difference due to personal preferences. The waitress was Sabrina. She was awesome. She took the time to make sure she got our orders just the way we wanted them. The food was really good and super fresh. Knowing that our orders were kind of out of the norm, the kitchen staff even came to the table and checked to make sure everything was as we wanted. I think the cooks name was Josh. Then said Ill be back to take yur order.... We were ready. She proceeds to say we are out of Pulled pork and sausage. Well hell... thats 90 percent of the menu!! The majority of the menu has one or the other on it. so we were down to ordering a hamburger or chicken fried steak. Hamburger it was. I dont go to a steak joint to order chicken and I dang sure dont go to a BBQ to order a hamburger! They need to get there act together... 30 dollars later for two hamburgers and tow drinks.. There's nothing like an all you can eat rib place. Went here twice for Tuesday rib bonanzas and a few times for their regular dinner menu. All times, the food was superb. Their ribs are delicious though on Tuesdays, I can't even finish a whole rack so maybe the all you can eat is sort of wasted on me (oh how the mighty have fallen). You get two sides and choice of flavor. I always go with the sweet and sticky and it has not let me down. After you finish the first portion (about 6 ribs), you can ask for seconds and it comes in in servings of about 2 bones each. Smart. And you can also ask for different flavors. I think the AYCE is about $20/person. Their regular menu is also worth checking out. I've tried the brisket and the chopped beef and both were pretty good. On my first trip to Texas, I wanted to get to try a good barbecue, and the Rib Crib was a great place to start. As I'm not a barbecue expert, more like a barbecue tourist, take my review with a grain of salt. I must say, though, I'm ready for some more! Also, do not expect to sit and socialize here. We were very much rushed in and out. The menu is a really great size, and they have combo plates that let you try multiple things. For two meats and two sides it was $14.99, but to get one more meat it's only $15.99! We ended up with two because we were not super hungry, but the 3 meat combo is a steal. There are three varieties of barbecue sauce. A mild, spicy, and one that was orange (North Carolina style maybe?) that I did not like. The mild and spicy were delicious mixed together. Food Breakdown: -Ribs: You know when people talk about meat falling off the bone? I thought that was an over exaggerated statement people made to describe ribs. It's not. These ribs were good. -Pulled Pork: Also great. Not tough and shredded well. Quality of meat was also good. -Mac and Cheese- So yummy! Cheesy and rich. A step above what you would get out of the freezer section in a grocery store, but I love my Mac and Cheese -Texas Toast- Can Texas toast not be good? -Coleslaw- Nothing special but good -Fried Okra- Good size portion and decent -Mashed Potatoes- Not good. I read the reviews for Rib Crib Wichita Falls and although this is my second visit to one...this is my first visit to this particular one. First the service....upon my arrival we were quickly seated and attended by our waitress in less than 5 minutes and this was on a Saturday at 7pm during the dinner hour! We sweet tea was never empty and nicely sweetened! She took our order and 10 minutes later our entrees were ready! Certainly was a quick IN and OUT in 40 minutes after all it is a sit down BBQ restaurant! Secondly the food...I ordered the Baby Back Ribs with Sweet and Tangy BBQ sauce and they were the most mouthwatering fall off the bone ribs I ever tasted. I also orders the Catfish both half portion and they were moist inside and crisp on the outside, great catfish! I ordered corn on the cob which was in water however they given me 2 half cobs and seasoned fries. Overall the food and service was awesome especially our server Bre for her excellent service, will be sure to return upon my future visits to the falls and if your wanting the best Ribs in Wichita Falls this place is it...no matter if it is a chain!
