I love the robust and eclectic menu here. The service was very good and they seem to have a full bar. The loaded baked potato with the brisket is super good if you're ready to carb out. Another time I had a mixed plate and it was pretty solid. The side Salads are humongous and fresh. Knocking it down a star as the meats have been a bit dry and it feels more chainy than Americana. I'm staying in one of the local casinos just north of here and decided to take the quick trip down for some Oklahoma barbecue. I can't seem to pass up going for barbecue when I am in the Midwest. I chose the Dirty Deed Pitmaster Pick from the menu. It is a St. Louis rib, sliced smoked sausage and pulled pork. The meal was delicious I'll be at lukewarm when it came out to me. The beans were out of this world and some of the best I've ever had! The potatoes and gravy were lackluster. I chose the blackberry cobbler à la mode for dessert. It was warm and delicious! This is a nice place. It's clean, the staff are excellent and the prices are reasonable. But the barbecue. Oh dear. I had brisket, pulled pork, chicken and sausage. The sausage was good. How tricky can it be to heat up sausage? The chicken was just too dry. My guess is they cooked it "low and slow". That doesn't work for chicken. The pulled pork was amazingly bad. It was dry, but interspersed with unrendered chunks of fat. Nasty. But the absolute worst was the brisket. The brisket was extremely overcooked. Dried out to the consistency of shoe leather and almost impossible to cut. And every backyard barbecues knows to slice brisket against the grain. Not Rib Crib. To be fair, going to a place called "Rib Crib" and not ordering ribs is probably a mistake. I had a bite of my friend's ribs and that seemed pretty tasty. But with Danny Head still doing real barbecue right next door, Rib Crib needs to get the fundamentals down. read more

I won't be going back to this place! We were a party of 4 adults. We first wanted to order adult beverages, our waitress asked that we go to bar & get them ourselves. Then we ordered. She came back to us to tell us they were out of ribs! & chopped brisket. We ask to sun for sliced brisket, we can't do that she said. Why not ? Just chop it!! Then she put in my husband's order wrong, he ordered chicken fried steak, since no ribs, she put in chicken strips. Can't change it cause guess what out of chicken fried steak!! See there is just something to be said about good service, good quality, etc. When you are paying the price that they are asking for food it should be top notch and served with a smile. The mediocrity of the workers, I know a curse everywhere, just makes it hard to accept the other stuff. Went about 3 weeks ago on a Friday at 5:30pm. Was in town to work at P66 No baby back ribs....this IS the Rib Crib? Did not have the first 5 beers I ordered Sliced brisket was shoe leather Sausage was spicy, should say on menu Would of been better for the waitress to just bring out food and drink and say "here's your meal" Pluses: Chicken was good. Came in about 2 hours shy of closing and was told they were out of ribs, chicken, turkey, spuds, and only had about a half pound of pulled pork left. They literally didn't have enough food to put together any of their combo meals. Great that you all selling so much but seems like someone could have done a little better planning. I am from out of state and looked like it was going to be good authentic BBQ place. Sure is disappointing when you are traveling all day and left disappointed by the lack of options. Tried the Pulled Pork Plate with Potato Salad and Green Beans. The meat was amazing! Very fresh, flavorful and tender. The potato salad is very down home, reminded me of Grandma's! Love it! The only downside was the green beans. They had some butter but no seasoning. Very dull. Right out the can. I was expecting bacon, onions and maybe some salt.... Something to sing the flavor up!! Stopped in my local Ponca City Rib Crib to celebrate yesterday's 45th birthday. I used my free birthday meal they emailed me I got a 4 meat combo and it was Top Notch excellent my wife enjoyed hers just as much as I did. Chris was a excellent server always checking on us and staff was always busy cleaning very impressed with the staff. Smallest ribs I have ever been served. The picture is of the actual ribs and as you can see they were not much bigger than my fork. If I have to pay full price for dinner I should get what I am paying for. They tasted good but I expected a normal size rib not bite size. Great service!!!!! Food was amazing!! We had pulled pork, smoked chicken, smoked turkey, chicken fingers, coleslaw, sweet beans, and Mac and cheese. The sweet tea was true southern sweet tea. I haven't been to Ponca in a long time. This happened to be for a family reunion and we decided to go out as a family and eat. Let me say that the waitress was a joy and she couldn't have helped any better than she did. But when it takes almost three hours for your food to arrive, let's just say it's beyond unprofessional and very sad. When my food finally came the restaurant was about to close. My family, some of us had gotten our food, some didn't. The waitress again, did everything she could, but the cooks, they "forgot" about some of our orders. We go here with some regularity. I am giving it a higher rating today than I would had it been our first time. Today was about a 2.5 and I wish it could be higher. Rib Crib is a Tulsa success story and they seem to be able to carry that carefully to new locations. Here is the GOOD and the NOT SO GOOD. GOOD: Portions are huge! I mean HUGE. My wife and I usually order off the Kids Menu which is about right for seniors. And that includes drink and a sundae for dessert. Yeah --- we look for good bargains. Most of the waitresses are good to great. They are personable without being intrusive. Service is usually very good but can be fair if during a noon hour. NOT SO GOOD: I love their BBQ with two exceptions. First, their ribs are EXTREMELY SALTY. I think this has to do with the seasoning. I didn't realize until later and I was drinking water all evening. Second, we had lunch today (Saturday) about 2:00PM. We ordered the Kid's Brisket. In the past this has been a good selection. Today it was dry and barely warm. If it had been a fast food burger joint they would have had the timer on and thrown it out. We took some home for our dogs which will enjoy it. I've noticed from the other posts that people seem to love it or really disappointed. We have been here enough times to go again. They have some issues to clear up. But they are fairly consistent and we have been there with large group (8-10) at dinner time and they have done well. read more

It's a chain and no matter how hard i try, I can't help but compare it to the local barbecue place next door. The entrees are typical off-the-frozen-food-truck varieties: satisfying and tasty but lacking that extra pizazz. Although there never seems to be enough of them, the staff is friendly. Things get a little slow when the need arises for them to do more than just their own job. In their favor, I've never heard any of them complain. We eat here kind of often. Recently the Ponca City Rib Crib catered my wedding. Not only was it incredibly affordable compared to everything else we had looked at but they came all the way down to Orlando, OK to do so! (Yes there is a Stillwater location but the Ponca one tastes better in my opinion) They were so friendly, personable and professional. If you ever need catering I would highly recommend them! They were even very flexible with me when I wanted to add on to the order a few days before! I can't imagine anyone else being that helpful!!! Everyone loved the food at our wedding. And our family has all been enjoying the leftovers. We will definitely go again in the future and use them for catering in the future! And I know this is about their catering service but seriously even dinning at their location is perfect service! I've never had a bad experience! read more

Just left, seated immediately no issues. Waited 5 minutes to be waited on and it didn't happen!! There was only 1 other couple seated in bar area. Was not packed by no means!! Was never waited on!!
