It's only open a few hours a day and looks like it's been there, in the same exact spot since before Teddy Ruxpins existed. Exactly my kind of burger joint for lunch when on the road!!!! I grabbed a double cheese burger with bacon and jalapeños and a side of onion rings. I am team mustard so I got yellow bliss added to my buns and I asked for the lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickle be spared as I had to eat on the fly. I really wish I'd have got it tho!!! The burger didn't need it, but I would have preferred it. So this burger was so freaking good!! Patties had this beef flavor that just kicked my taste buds with a tire iron in the best way possible. Then I had bacon stop by and say hi while slapping me a jalapeño kiss . It was hard to keep my truck between the mustard and mayonnaise stripes!! This was an emotional cheeseburger experience!! My onion rings were solid and delicious but for my preference a little too greasy. I'd eat them again but would opt to try the fries if I make it back up that way again!!! Im so glad I stopped in!!! The ambiance was quaint, with a country style, homey, laid back. The picnic style table with vlear top threw me for a minute, as you can see through the cracks. Service is where the err was apparent. Initially, the waitress was on point, but after her first pass by, when she asked if everything was OK, I requested bbq sauce. She disappeared into the kitchen, then brought something out to a different table. She went to sit with a co-worker at another table. My husband got up and walked over to the table to ask for bbq sauce. We waited, but no action. The woman at the same table was yelling to someone in the back. There was a claim that the machinery wasn't working, as the guy behind us was skipped for awhile. The cook came out. My husband asked HIM for bbq sauce. Eventually, the waitress brought a cup, but at this point, it was pretty much moot. We dipped a few fries in as a show of good sport, but it was too little, too late. When I went to pay, the cook rang us up and gave us a discount. He apologized and explained the mechanical deficiencies . I gave the waitress the balance of the discount, so everyone was happy.

We get seated in the back room we get our fountain drinks, but our single bar drink is never put in. The one round of refills we get sweet tea in our unsweetened and served diet Dr Pepper instead of regular. Then our order is taken. Takes awhile. One group orders chips and salsa, (never arrived. Finally informed us at the end of the meal they are out) If we received our food something was wrong, several got the wrong sides. Two kids meals never showed up. The one that did was a pizza instead of a grilled cheese. Complaints were ignored, Waiters were busy on the deck counting tips. Then he can in we only receive 4/5 tickets. Which had random drinks and food on them. And a 20% large group tip. Everyone's mad trying to get it sorted out.

I could've stopped there, but my food came and I have to say was spectacular. The catfish nuggets were fresh and hot and melt in your mouth. Okra was breaded perfectly and had a great flavor.
