PORK RIBS (ST. LOUIS CUT)

Absolutely loved this spot. The owner came out personally to greet us and made us feel incredibly welcomed from the start. The service alone would make me want to come back, but the food completely sealed it. The ribs were phenomenal -- super tender while still having that perfect bite to the meat. The flavors were bold and really well balanced without being overly salty or too sweet, which is hard to pull off with Asian-inspired barbecue. You can tell a lot of care went into every dish. Also have to mention the brown rice salad that was recommended to us. I honestly didn't expect much from it at first, but it ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. Fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the ribs. Definitely a place worth coming back to, there was no restroom, but the place offered a really good amount of moist towels where you can also get unlimited sauce too

Brisket Sandwich

Thank you for making my portobello mushroom baked potato! I usually get the portobello man which is amazing but wanted to try the baked potato. My girl was happy with her brisket sandwich. We appreciate your friendly service and relaxed ambiance.

Had been going here for years, finally tried this place again recently. This place is still amazing. I would say it is one my favorite places for BBQ in Orange County. It's just the way the meat is cooked in a way that it still comes out smoky and so juicy. No dry meat here! Only gripe is that it just seems like they are trying to save costs here and there such as paying for sauce. But I find that if you go to the store, they have some out in bottles. Beware of the tiny parking lot. Came here during lunch time and it was definitely a struggle. What we got: - BBQ Chicken Wings (5/5): Got this on a whim. Gotta say this is the best BBQ chicken wings I have ever had. The sauce on the wings is nicely coated and just love the smokiness and sweetness it. - Two meats (5/5): Andouille Sausage & Chicken. Normally I don't really get chicken breast or thigh at these places, but I was thoroughly surprised at how juicy this was. The sausage itself had a very "bitey" mouthfeel that I look forward to. - Pork Ribs (5/5): What I always come here for. This place has the best ribs, fall of the bone. I recommend getting the mustard bbq sauce to go along, but honestly doesn't even need sauce at all. Will always come here for some BBQ.

I was in the area and wanted to try something new. I am so pleased and happy I stopped here. The place is located in a small strip mall. It's small and quaint. The staff were amazing and helpful. The BBQ! Where do I start...well with a three meat combo meal. I got chicken, pulled pork and brisket with three sides. Baked beans, corn and rice salad. Which is a great alternative to anything containing milk, like the potato salad. I also got cornbread and a side of kimchi. The meat is very tender and flavorful, even without barbecue sauce. All of the sides are delicious. The brisket is so amazing, it melts in my mouth like butter. The smoke and tenderness of the chicken is perfect. The pulled pork is moist and flavorful. There are plenty of options for barbecue sauce, with one house sauce, one Korean barbecue sauce, one mustard, barbecue sauce, and hot sauce. I tried all three barbecue sauces and enjoyed each one. I love the mustard barbecue sauce with the pulled pork the next thing I tried is the cornbread. It is amazing. It has little bits of real corn and is so tender and moist. Try it with some butter and honey for that oh my! experience. I highly recommend giving them a try.

IG/TT @Waitfoodfirst Rib bro in Newport Beach is a Korean fusion Texas style bbq that is pretty affordable. Their head chef moved here from Texas so you know the flavors are authentic. They smoke their brisket for 13 hours and everything is seasoned so well. My favorite items are the pork ribs, sausage, Mac and cheese, and their corn bread is actually insane.

POWER HOUSE (BRISKET)

We ordered to-go, so can't comment on atmosphere or service. What I can comment on is price, portions, and taste. I wasn't impressed with any of it. The following was intended to feed two adults and a toddler, but honestly, I could've eaten it all myself - it was not a lot of food. And for the price we paid, we feel robbed. Very upset we chose this place for dinner. The powerhouse brisket sandwich was the best in my opinion. It was tasty, and came with plenty of sauce. However, I could literally count the number of paper-thin fries it came with - a pitifully low amount. Also - and this goes for all their sides - they come in containers barely larger than sauce containers. Like you get three bites and the sides are gone basically. We also got a two meat item plate, which came with three sides. We were excited to sample three sides until we realized how small they were. The beans, cornbread, and street corn were all a joke. The meat in the combo plate had issues, too. The ribs were of jerky texture (you can tell how dry they were from the pic I shared). Chicken was alright, but nothing special.

Yummm mouth watering Ribs. 10 out of 10

Fresh food. It was so easy to talk to the cashier since it was out first time coming to this place. The spot is clean and very welcoming. The food is delicious. Straight out of the smoker

It was a touch oily on the outside, which made it a bit messy to eat, but that richness definitely added to the flavor. The Queen Bee had a perfect balance: creamy ricotta, sweet honey, and fresh green pear all working together effortlessly. The pine nuts were a great finishing touch, tying everything together with a subtle nuttiness. It's easy to see why the Chicken Pesto is a crowd favorite. If you're into pesto, arugula, and sun-dried tomatoes, this one hits all the right notes--especially on that toasted basil focaccia. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Only downside is the tough parking situation, but honestly, it's a deli I'd still go out of my way for.

Portion size? It's a BIG sandwich. I think I was expecting the sandwich to be more reminiscent of the type of focaccia sandwiches I had in Italy, but in truth it was just "heavy". The focaccia bread was not light and fluffy, but more dense and oily. I think these sandwiches would cater to many people here as showcased in the other reviews, but just wasn't for me. Glad to have given it a try though! Service was kind and friendly!

Parking lot is small with the post office and a handful of other businesses all sharing the same few spaces. So be prepared to circle the lot or park on the street and walk when you visit. I ordered a 9 inch ham with provolone, had lettuce, tomato, sprouts, mustard and mayo on the fresh baguette. Solid sandwich it had enough meat and cheese to satisfy me which was a little surprising. The baguette was light and tasty, the veggies were fresh and crisp. Overall the sandwich was a solid 9 out of 10, and I am something of a sandwich snob. Tables and chairs outside in the area between the buildings were convenient seating to eat our sandwiches. Service was fast & friendly throughout the visit. I ordered the chicken curry salad & was a little underwhelmed. The flavor itself was good, but it could have used more dressing and definitely more chicken. The Thai tea was really tasty though. Overall, still interested in coming back to try the sandwiches and baked goods since those looked especially promising.
