Aside from the three cheese fries I ordered without bacon coming with bacon, everything was great. I got a burger and it was delicious, and made exactly how I wanted it. My wife had a good meal, too. The cheese fries though, I can't eat bacon. When I was a kid I had a stomach bug and ate at Wendy's. I choked on their bacon and it made me throw up and ever since then bacon makes me nauseous, so I stay away from it. Unfortunately I didn't notice the bacon until after I ate some fries and tasted it. Then I saw it under the cheese. I picked off what I could, about a dozen little pieces, but the flavor was all over the fries. Luckily I didn't get sick, and they were delicious aside from that, so it wasn't a huge deal. It almost seemed like they put the bacon bits on out of habit, saw there was supposed to be none, and picked off what they could instead of making a new batch. Except that it kind of was a big deal. We've been there three times and I've yet to have a completely good experience. When I went to the register to pay, I noticed a sign hanging behind it (attached). It's a joke sign, they have them all over the place, but this one was ironic to me because it says "you don't get it your way." Considering the bacon on the fries, I could see where I went wrong. The problem with the bacon goes beyond my issue. I've worked in many restaurants most of my life. One of the first things I learned was, if someone orders no bacon, it could be a religious thing, they could be vegetarian, or they could just not eat pork. It's one of those things, that because of religion, is more serious than most other foods. Someone orders no tomatoes and you put tomatoes on it, that's not too big a deal. If you accidentally put bacon on something that shouldn't have it on there, you should make it over. It doesn't matter why they don't want bacon, just make it over. I could've said something, but it took long enough to get them that had I said something and had them made over, I wouldn't have got them until after I was done with everything else I ordered, and I didn't want to go through all that. As we left, my wife said she didn't want to eat there again, and I agreed. It's a decent place, but as I said here and in previous reviews, I've never had a completely good experience there, and the food has always been iffy. Maybe it will be good, maybe it won't. Maybe I'll get what I ordered the way I want, maybe I won't. It's too much of a toss up to spend that kind of money, when I could go somewhere else and have a better experience. read more

Then when I ask for more napkins she says there's some on the table (3 napkins for 5 people) and then I ask for a side sauce cup and she's like yeah you know we make those? Food looked like it sat out and then she was talking bad about the customers who said the service was bad right next to us? Very unprofessional. Sadly the food hasn't gotten much better since moving. I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs with cole slaw and Mac n cheese. I refused the first Mac as it clearly had been sitting way too long and appears burnt. They got me a fresh order and although it looked better, tasted like plain watery macaroni. Well, I gave an extra star for the sauce. This place was flat out NOT GOOD. We forgot to notice that we were there on a Friday evening and the place was not crowded. That should've tipped me off. We ordered the cheese curd appetizer, and they were fine. In fact, the portion was generous. I had a combo plate of beef and chicken, and my wife had smoked turkey. I posted a picture of the beef. Now, when I go to a barbecue restaurant and I order barbecued beef, I expect big thick slices of beef brisket that taste smoky and delicious. What I do NOT expect is prepackaged pre-sliced deli meat from the next-door Kroger warmed up in the microwave. That is almost exactly what I got. And it had NO flavor to it. In contrast, the chicken portion of my combo was obviously NOT bought from Kroger, because the pieces weren't anywhere near as big as what you get there. They seemed to be baked nicely, but they also had NO flavor. That's why I gave a star for the sauce because that was the only thing that rescued my meal. My wife also noticed that her smoked turkey had a prepackaged pre-sliced vibe to it. It probably was smoked at the manufacturing plant. But at the end of her meal, she said "if I had wanted lunch meat, I would have gone to Subway." The baked beans tasted like they also came from a can from Kroger. I drenched them in barbecue sauce and they tasted like barbecue sauce. I also had what appeared to be canned green beans with a little bacon in it. Both of which I could easily have made at home. I ordered the half baby back ribs, smoked turkey, bacon green beans, coleslaw and this came with Texas toast. The ribs were good, moist tasty flavor. I didn't really like the smoke turkey, it seemed like processed turkey in my opinion, so I don't recommend ordering that. The green beans and cole slaw were good. This is BBQ establishment, it's hard to screw up too much stuff. The prices aren't over the top so you get pretty good value for your buck. I'm sure I'll be back here next time I'm in Ohio. I came here with my family for a late lunch. I like that they have something for everyone, and that we were able to partake in the lunch specials even on a Saturday. I had the pulled pork (comes dry - not actually dry, just means without sauce on it), green beans, and fries. If you're a ranch fan, get it here as I'm pretty sure it's homemade! I think they have a spicy ranch, too. I bet they'd make a killer barbecue ranch! (Note: it's 75 cents extra, but worth it.) They include a slice of tasty garlic toast with most things, so save room for that! There are lots of TVs around in case people in your party are looking to catch a game. I was in for dinner on father's day, phoned ahead no wait, 10 min later when we arrived an hour wait? there's nowhere to sit in the lobby so after standing for 25 minutes we ask the hostess if we could at least sit at a table since the dining room was empty. She said sure that makes sense and as we were being seated the owner comes out of the kitchen and starts yelling at her from across the dining room. She tried to explain but I've never seen any owner of a customer facing business behave the way he did. I tried to explain that we were just going to sit and not order food yet and then he started yelling at me. We started to leave and he continued to yell at us about him running out of food and being backed up on to go orders. We've been in here a few times, total mixed bag. Some of the food was good, some was obviously reheated and lame. Rack of ribs - good. Pulled pork sandwiches - meh. The appetizers (cheese curds and breaded shrimp) were delicious, but the price for the serving size was way too high. Almost 10 bucks for a shrimp basket that may have had 5-6 oz of shrimp in it. No way that was a half pound of shrimp... But where the restaurant really falls down is in the service department. I don't know if they have too few waitresses or what, but we waited forever for refills. Tried to flag down our waitress, knowing full well she had seen us, and she just kept walking. And understand, the place was empty. I know it was a Thursday night, but the place was a ghost town. Which brings up another issue - the place is run down and falling apart. The front steps are rotting and sagging, speaker cables laying all of the floor, shabby looking, etc. It has all of the hallmarks of a "RETAIL SPACE AVAILABLE" sign going up at any time. Went there for just a cheap lunch and something different as the family came down to visit. For the price of around $10-$16 per person, it's a very cheap lunch for bar-b-que which is the main reason we went. when we walked in we were immediately greeted by some of the nicest staff I've ever experienced seriously it was true "southern hospitality" we were seated immediately and throughout the meal, we were constantly checked on by two waitresses. The place was clean and vibrant though they did look a bit understaffed but, that didn't affect the service. Now, this is not the best Bar-b-que by a long shot but at this price, it's some of the best you can get we were blown away by what we got for so little money. I visited here recently for lunch on a Friday. I was a little worried when I entered the facility because no one was here at 12:30. This was my first visit. I was greeted by a friendly lady and took a seat at the bar. I ordered a combo platter of ribs and pork at the recommendation of the server. It came with baked beans and cole slaw. The ribs were very tender and the sauces provided were excellent. I enjoyed the sweet bbq sauce and the carolina vinegar. The pork was just okay. The beans and slaw were nothing special and the portion sizes were average to small. Cincinnati has a general lacking for good bbq and this place still doesn't fill the need for a great place. Let me start by saying, I am a pork rib lover. I visited this establishment years ago. I remember it being really good back then. Tonight I was not impressed. Their logo is if you have to use a knife with your ribs they'll take them back. I take that to man that the ribs should fall off the bone, or at least easy to pull apart. We got there about 8 pm. My ribs were not very meaty. I got a whole rack. They were tough and charred.They also didn't stay warm long, all signs that the ribs were reheated, not fresh. The pulled pork was cold and stringy. There was only about a mouthful of meat there. Let's just say I'm glad I didn't order the pulled pork meal only. I got the Tony's Saturday special, you save $1, it comes with two meats and two sides. The sides are nothing special, there's an upcharge on most of their sides which isn't listed. They're really nothing special. They don't even have Mac and cheese. My loaded potato wasn't LOADED with anything. They sprinkled a tiny bit of cheese on it and even less bacon. In the end I rechecked the bill and we didn't even save the $1 we were supposed to save. Our waitress was apparently stretched thin since there was a party in the back. I thought they'd step it up since there's another BBQ place in close proximity. read more

There are a wide variety of things for you to try and the staff is always friendly! We never wait long on our food. I recommend the Texas cheese fries as an appetizer and the Feast for 2! First time back in some time. This place was much better a while ago. The ribs are supposed to be fall off the bone they were not but they taste very good and the pulled pork was good too. The sides are basic not that much flavor for my taste. The sweet tea pretty good. The server was ok .
