Pulled pork was very good. Baby backed ribs were overdone. Wife ordered sweet potato fries that didn't come with the meal. When they did come the were burnt black and should have never come from the kitchen. read more

Great! It's the one place we miss eating at when we're back in Mi. Good, consistent food at each of the 3 we've visited. Pork or beef Skyscraper is husband's favorite. Hostess was a sweetheart. Ribs were ok, Texas toast was like a soggy sponge and so were fries. Cole Slaw just plain sucked! The Coconut Cream pie weighed about a pound and sucked. Sprite was cold! 2 stars go to hostess, dont waste your money here. read more

My family and I come to rib city in fort myers all the time and a server named kaylea has taken care of us on multiple occasions now. I love the food however the service from her has been awful every time with her. The first couple of times we eat it go believing she's possibly new but at this point I almost don't want to return because of how poor the service was. She had one other table and barely checked on us. read more

Atmosphere inside the restaurant is not great. Outdoor patio is loud due to the road. Back ribs were ok but not worth going back for. Beef brisket was awful. Pulled pork was average. Wings were nothing special. I will not return here. read more

Came in staying for New Years at the Embassy Suites. Walked over with family which was a large group. Stunned to find out no corn bread at a barbecue restaurant. ..are you kidding me? So good! Nothing fancy... but great Ribs, BBQ & Chicken. Kids under 4 eat free. We enjoyed it and would recommend it. Alicia was our server and was wonderful! The food and service was precise and the food came out fast and cooked properly. However, I don't recommend this place for people with small appetites. The portions are big, but that is easily handled with a to-go box. I would eat here every day if I could. I myself love bbq and this brings it to a whole new level. read more

OK, Let's be honest. Occasionally a restaurant staff member or crew can have a rough day, so if you had good food & service once before, you give it another try.THEN you go back & horrible. Time to speak up. I don't know what or who got into this Rib City in Estero but our experience last week was one of the worst we've experienced. Cold food - (same plate stuck into microwave after brought to staff attention), obvious changes to their "baked" beans - Can you say "Boston Beans" from a can?? Sticky tables, dirty catsup and bbq sauce bottes. Even sodas seemed watered down & the quality of the smoked pork went WAY downhill here! Then there's the staff. We were waited on by one person & a trainee - no problem there, but there was no consistency - we spoke with a total of 4 different servers - you tell you something then another appears with your request with no explanation. If you like frozen fries (warm), cold meat, cold beans, watered down drinks & a confused staff, this is your place.Maybe a change of ownership, management, whatever - good luck keeping your customers - you lost 2. This place was not very good. They didn't know you could chop the beef for a chopped beef sandwich, lacked many options listed in the menu and the waitress spilled water all over us. I do not recommend this place if you are comfortable with a triditional barbecue eatery. read more

Overall the food was excellent and service from the hostesses and our waitress was outstanding, although they are in dying need of new management. The manager did speak to us a few times but all about herself.. she seems like a nice lady, but not one you should give the title "Manager" to. Very unprofessional. read more

As a driver for a local Airport Transportation company, I drive by this location everyday. Today, I had wanted to go to Twin Peaks up by the airport, as their food ROCKS. They were slammed, as befits a place with GREAT food. So I opted to try Rib City. MIStake. I ordered the three piece combo with 1/2 rack baby back ribs; smoked turkey and smoked pork. My sides: "southern" green beans; "housemade" coleslaw. None of it was good. None of it. I decided to get the ribs, as the menu proclaims them to be the BEST ribs I will ever eat. WRONG. THAT distinction belongs to Smokey Bones, not this place. The smoked turkey tasted like the BBQ Sauce I put on it. Same for the smoked pork. The ribs? I expected them to be tender, juicy and flavorful. They were dry, dry, dry. They were tasteless--except for the burned parts, which tasted like, well, burned parts. And not in a good way. In a very, very bad way. I sent them back. I ate the turkey and pork, because I was able to slather them with BBQ sauce, which was pretty OK. Nothing could help those ribs. The "southern" green beans were out of a can--a fact verified by both my waitress and a manager. The "housemade" coleslaw was too sweet by half. I did eat much of it, as it tasted ok, just too sweet. My waitress, Tami, came by and asked if everything was delicious. I said no, and explained what I had experienced. She asked if she could make anything better. I didn't think that possible, so I said no. The manager came out and offered me another 1/2 rack of ribs. I couldn't see how another rack would be an improvement, so I declined. To be fair, the staff and manager did the right things--the manager even knocked 50% off my bill. They are just saddled with really inferior food. Canned green beans?? Yuck. It was a bowl of mush. You want GREAT green beans... find another place. ANY other place. I made sure to tip Tami as if the bill was 100%, as she didn't make the food, and shouldn't suffer for it. read more
