I have been eating here for a long time. Always go here with my co workers 1-2 times a month, for the beer specials and the good appetizers. We always get the rattle snake bites, I know they're very greasy, but once in a while is fine... Delicious. The rattlesnake bites with some beer, wow! I'm not a fan of the free bread and cinnamon butter. The bread is extremely sweet and so is the cinnamon butter. The wait staff are all polite. The steaks are ok, just ok, and expensive! But more times than not, when we eat with our friends, the food arrives in stages. First my friend gets his meal, then 5 minutes later another plate arrives, then something else and so on... A few times we asked for medium rare steaks and ended up getting them well done. Looks like no one pays attention. They call a manager which is nice, but then your new steak will take 20 minutes to arrive. By then, you don't even feel hungry anymore. So now we just get appetizers and avoid getting steaks. For a steak dinner, we go to a real steakhouse where its guaranteed to be perfect. Overall for a Friday or Saturday night out with coworkers or friends, Texas Roadhouse is fun. read more

I came here to eat prime rib, and they have as good prime rib as anyone. I learned something I wish I hadn't: They will custom-cut your steak to any size you want. After super-sizing my prime rib and steak, I need to forget this option. It turns Roadhouse into an expensive steakhouse. This was the second time I had our server. He was one of those who would look at your table, note that you need more something, and just bring it. I enjoy that type of service. While typical of Texas Roadhouse's appearance, the building is large enough to accommodate the large crowds that frequent it. I do recomend using their call ahead reservation service. read more

We have had a gift card to Texas Roadhouse for 5 years and just made a point to use it. I've always been hesitant to come in, as I always go for the local family owned businesses over chains, however, we were glad we gave it a shot! We checked in online on a Sunday evening and when we arrived, I double checked at the host stand that my spot in line was saved and they seated us immediately! We had a very friendly server and she was very fast! She took our drink order right away, put in the app asap and the food! I really enjoyed the cactus blossom. This could easily be shared with 6 people. It was a lot for 3 adults and 1 kid! The sauce was fabulous and the blossom was piping hot! We ordered a variety of entrees: the country fried chicken, the chicken critters with steak, and the 1/2 rack of ribs! The house salad that came with the country fried chicken was to die for. I was puzzled that they put brown gravy on the mashed potatoes when I asked for creamy and they put them on the side. The chicken itself was just okay. There were some parts that tasted a little thick and tougher but others tasted juicy, crispy and creamy. I would probably get the steak next time. Everyone said their options were great and really enjoyed their meals. We did have to ask for the rolls. I had never been before so I'm glad I knew about them from friends who had told me they were so good. They make a cinnamon honey butter that is super delicious with the rolls. I was a fan! We have always had great food and service at the Estero, Fl location. We had an out of town guest and decided to have dinner there. What made this visit above and beyond the normal great food and service was our server, LILLY. She presented herself with an upbeat attitude, smile and asked all the right questions. She checked on us many times, timed the appetizers and main meal perfectly. She brought a second beverage without asking. These may seem like small things, but it's the small things that folks like us remember and keeps us coming back. A young lady with this great attitude and commitment to the customer is a rare find these days. Having owned several businesses over the years, when you find a person of this caliber you do what ever it takes to keep them. I go to Texas Roadhouse because my mother loves steak. And potato skins. The potato skins have this thick cut chewy bacon that is so good that we have to draw a line to share.... I discovered Pittsburgh style steak here, and I love it. The only red meat I eat is when I go to dinner with mom at a steakhouse. Service is always good. Fran is great on the tables and there are a few great bartenders... Cameron and Kelsey I think? Ambiance is fun, the Texas dance always makes people smile! read more

I normally don't do this but after my most recent experience at Texas Roadhouse I feel like I must. This is one of my favorite spots but the service we experienced the other night was atrocious. Our server Kendal completely neglected us for half of the night when we had a medical emergency and needed to leave as soon as possible. On top of that we had ordered well done steaks and received them clearly undercooked by one glance. The mistake wouldn't have been the end of the world if it wasn't for him throwing our to go boxes on the table and lacking any sense of urgency when it came down to our medical emergency. I had ordered a salad with dressing on the side, simple task if you ask me, he claimed "we don't do that here" and made a big deal out of such a simple request, I then received my salad with no dressing at all. Not sure how this is acceptable but something needed to be said. read more

We were thinking about do some BBQ grilling for the July 4 Weekend. To escape the scorching July sun in Florida, we changed our mind and headed to the new Texas Roadhouse in Estero. This is a relatively new location and there is huge parking space available in front of the building overlooking US 41. This facility is bigger than Texas Roadhouse at Fort Myers and décor was excellent. Just like all Texas Roadhouse, a display case showing their ribeyes, T-bone and others at the entrance. At the center bar area, many huge TVs were available to watch your games. They have FGCU Eagles pictures as well a huge mural of Estero Bay. Well done! We have a sirloin and prime rib dinner. The sirloin was grilled perfectly without any salt or seasoning to bring out its natural flavor. The prime rib was an excellent cut and smothered with mushroom and onions. The huge steak fries have the right amount of seasoning. Of course, it is not Texas Roadhouse unless the warm rolls with Cinnamon Butter are served with dinner. We have only one Red Sangria drink and went well with the steak! The peanuts in the large barrel are no longer available but if you ask your server, they will give you a bag filled with peanuts! The staff is friendly and as usual we love their line dancing. This location is a good family-oriented facility. read more

Stopped in with my 7 year old for a dinner. The atmosphere was fun. Be careful with the tablet they have on the table, my son touched it for barely a second when we were sitting down and I was charged for using it. Thankfully, the manager did take it off, but I wouldn't have known if I didn't read the bill. We had the baby back ribs and the prime rib. Each came with 2 sides, we had corn, a house salad, and two sweet potatoes as the sides. The ribs were a little over cooked. The prime rib was good, a lot of fat that makes it much smaller of quality meat than it appears, but the price was reasonable. The prices were good. So although it wasn't the highest quality of meats that I have had, the food was good for the price point. Always love the rolls with the honey butter. I'd will likely be back for another casual dinner with my son after his sports. read more

My wife and sister-in-law's food came out without their baked sweet potatoes- which came out after they were halfway finished their Steaks. And then the center was still rock hard. They did bring a new one but by then the dining experience was blah. The Cactus Blossom was perfect. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs and 6oz steak combo. The steak was cooked perfectly but the ribs were a little dry/overcooked. I had a house salad. I did call ahead seating for 6:30 but really didn't need to as it was not busy. I would still recommend it though as I'm sure it will pick up as the season progresses. They don't do lunch yet. Open at 3pm. read more

Liv was an absolute amazing server, even for a corporate restaurant. My husband and I are both servers/bartenders and this girl was amazing. She hit all the points corporate expects and still had her own personality and that's what made it worth it. We usually sit at the bar and the same crap gets said every time we're there. Texas Roadhouse has been a favorite of ours for years. However, on our most recent visit for mothers day, both myself and my mom became very ill for almost 24hrs after eating at this location. We both experienced nausea and diarrhea well into the following day. We have eaten here many times before, always without incident. We understand that things like this happen. We are almost certain that it was the prime rib that she ordered, as I cut it up for her and put whatever fat that I removed onto my plate. So we both consumed that particular piece of meat on that day. The other 3 members of our party were fine. It was only my mom and myself that began to fee ill shortly after returning home from the restaurant. Our waiter, Josh was on point during our visit. He had a great personality joking with us, and came back regularly to check on us. Our time at the actual restaurant was very enjoyable despite what we encountered afterwards. Please note that the 2 star rating I have given reflects on this visit only based on the fact that we became ill from the meal. Being from Texas, I was pleased at how well this establishment kept the Lone Star vibe. The server went above and beyond to satisfy our every need. The sweetest action that any establishment could possibly do, Texas Roadhouse did. I grabbed a child's menu to play the games, and low and behold, there was a section for the child to write to a vet and they will mail it to them. I asked the server if I, as an adult, could write to the vet. He replied with a yes, and encouraged for me to do so. As I completed my letter, I read it out loud to my family and him, and he told me that as a fellow vet, he would've loved for someone to write him with my words. A heart felt moment, while sharing laughs and drinks was a perfect ending to our night. The food brought it home as it was made to delicious perfection. Thank you Texas Roadhouse. read more

First of all I love Texas Roadhouse and have eaten at them a lot. This experience was less than I expected. No peanuts because of COVID, I understand no big barrels of peanuts. They had no bags and no peanuts what so ever. The waiter said they should have bags they were giving out, but he couldn't find any. Ordered snake bites for lunch and he said they wouldn't be ready for a few hours. No dancing either. The first basket of rolls were not served with butter. The steak was great as usual and so was the tato skins, awesome. Just expected the atmosphere to be better like it used to be, I guess with COVID and supply issues and staff issues it won't be for a while. read more

The only complaint I have about this Texas Roadhouse is that they routinely fail to properly proof their rolls, and aren't the rolls one of the primary reasons we all love this place? The rolls are dense, instead of fluffy. Outside of that, their food is good and the staff are mostly great, except for one in particular who is overly zealous and overly personal, but it is better than not caring at all, I guess. The quality of Texas Roadhouse has gone down over the past several years, IMO. We are likely to frequent a different popular steak house that is actually nearer to us in Ft. Myers, anyway. The prices are comparable, and they give you a small brown bread loaf with real butter (not that yucky sweet stuff), which is not as good as buttery rolls; however, this particular Texas Roadhouse does not make them properly anyway. read more
