Sausage & Cheese Plate and a bottle of sauce with that classic logo - perfection all around
    Brian S.

I hadn't been to a Rib Cage since they closed Oxford a few years ago. When we were in school at Ole Miss, "the Cage" as we called it was like a 2nd home to us. We spent the majority of the time in the bar basement drinking pitchers of beer & throwing darts. Taking a bite of a kielbasa today from a cheese plate and then having a kielbasa melt was like stepping into yesteryear. Then four bones rib side brought it all full circle. Great experience of nostalgia and wonderful service from the sweet lady inside. All around 5 star experience.

Don't miss this great BBQ joint if you're hungry during your drive along Highway 59. We sat outside on the deck on a beautiful October afternoon and had the 3-meat plate. The ribs (dry rub) were right on the money! That's their specialty, and they live up to their reputation. All the trimmings we had complimented nicely. Make sure to save room for the key lime pie.

    Sucked the bones dry!

Consistently good for a long time. Get a key lime pie. If the bbq doesn't bring you back, the pie will.

Most definitely my favorite part of Pickwick. Unless David Woods shows up then just ignore him like everyone else in the world does.

Started with a beer served in the can, waitress returned with a chilled glass and poured. No big deal, just interesting. I'd never seen a beer can in an upscale steakhouse before. Wife complemented her lemon martini. Oyster rockefeller, served in a dish instead of in the shell. A couple were a little gritty, a little much raw onion for my taste and served with tiny cocktail forks that made it a bit of a challenge to eat. House salad was small; the Roquefort dressing I asked for on the side was excellent. Ordered the George special ribeye as it looked to be their signature steak. No hint of the wood grill flavor I'd been really looking forward to. It was a tough cut, and the flavor a bit off, perhaps they season with lemon? Or maybe the cut was a bit past its prime? Anyway, the steak fries it came with were a real highlight of the meal. Wife, wanting a lighter meal, ordered the lobster tail. Her side, badly overcooked and burnt brussel sprouts, was bad. Replaced with steamed mixed vegetables which she liked a lot more. It's a pleasant place in an unexpected location, and service was very friendly and helpful. I want to send love to a locally owned spot like George's, but it's not a place we'd return to. When we want a great steak in a wonderful atmosphere, at about the same price, in the area, sorry guys, but we'll be at the 360 grille.

The food was amazing! Service went well beyond what was expected. Recommend filet mignon.read more

Since it was my first visit, I appreciated that our waitress took the time to answer questions and help me navigate the menu. She was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. I started with the onion petals, which were delicious and a great way to kick things off. For my entrée, I ordered the steak kabobs cooked medium. Unfortunately, they came out closer to well done. They still had good flavor, but I wish they had been a little more tender. The salad bar lived up to the reviews. It was fresh, well stocked, and definitely worth the trip. As a nice touch, they brought out a slice of strawberry cake for my friend's birthday. I stole a bite and can confirm it was pretty tasty. Overall, this is a great local spot with flavorful food and fantastic service. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the steak was overcooked. I'd definitely come back and try it again.

You'll find plenty of local color here, one of the most interesting is that this is also the site of the community's post office.  You don't get much chances to dine in your local post office.  Might be a great idea nationally if you could replicate their fried catfish. Cell phone reception is pretty poor at this location so you better check your GPS and YELP before you get there as well.  You won't find much about Chewalla, TN, on Google but it has a lot of local history.  When the railroad through nearby Corinth came through around 1857, one of the stops along the way was at Chewalla near the border of Mississippi and Tennessee.  The Chewalla Road was an established trailway which extended back into the time when all of the area was Indian Territory.  It was the path for invading and retreating armies during the Civil War and a battle was fought nearby during this time period.   Sitting right beside the railroad is Jim's Steak and Fish, about a 20 minute leisurely drive from Corinth, MS.  The most direct route coming from nearby Corinth is directly out Wenasoga Road which follows the path of the former Chewalla Road. Address shows Ramer, Tennessee, but actual location is Chewalla, an unincorporated community South of Ramer and North of Corinth, well worth the trip if you can find it.
