Key lime pie is the best you will ever have !!!! Bbq and ribs are good too. Only thing is they close early on weekend by 7pm

Been eating here my entire life. I have ordered the same thing off the menu for years... pulled chicken sandwich, no slaw, beans, and a half baked potato with melted cheese. Use the sauce (I think the regular *not hot* is better than the hot*) and smother your food in it. I could drink that stuff-- it's so good. But.... the best thing by far is the key lime pie. It's the best I've ever had. It's definitely not the absolutely best BBQ in the world, but the restaurant is so homey, has good service, and is just a downright honest place. It's been awhile since we've eaten here. I got the pulled chicken dinner. It was good as was the baked beans and slaw. The baked potato was nothing special. My wife got the bbq sandwich. She said it was good as well. Definitely would come back. read more

I hadn't been to a Rib Cage since they closed Oxford a few years ago. When we were in school at Ole Miss, "the Cage" as we called it was like a 2nd home to us. We spent the majority of the time in the bar basement drinking pitchers of beer & throwing darts. Taking a bite of a kielbasa today from a cheese plate and then having a kielbasa melt was like stepping into yesteryear. Then four bones rib side brought it all full circle. Great service. We had a family of five and out drinks never got under half full. Our waitress was outstanding. She was working hard and was respectful to all of us. The food was great, possibly the best BBQ around. If you come here carry some cash because our waitress sure deserved a great tip. Highly recommend! read more

Have been eating at the Rib Cage for decades now. It seems to remain the same year after year. Pretty good bbq with most places coming with half a baked potato on the side. The sauces are above average and the hot is actually a little hot which is good. The nachos are good and come with both cheese whiz and shredded cheese. Don't miss this great BBQ joint if you're hungry during your drive along Highway 59. We sat outside on the deck on a beautiful October afternoon and had the 3-meat plate. The ribs (dry rub) were right on the money! That's their specialty, and they live up to their reputation. All the trimmings we had complimented nicely. Excellent Tennessee barbecue! As the name of the place implies, the ribs are the "main event." Excellent smoked ribs loaded with dry rub. They offer two types of barbecue sauce -- hot and not-hot. I purchased a bottle of the hot and took it home with me. The pulled pork sandwich is also good and a friend recommended the wings. This is a cute little restaurant with a nice patio. Sadly, it was some of the worst BBQ I've had in the area. I ordered the smoked chicken with a side of three ribs. Both the chicken and the ribs were extremely dry. Also, the "signature" dry rub is apparently just Cayenne pepper. Service was a tad slow, but that is common for Pickwick. I've been here twice now. The first time I had a baked potato stuffed with pulled pork. The second time I had the tenderloin and chicken with the baked beans and slaw. Heard about this place from other boaters so we had to try it. This is a small place tucked just off the road. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor. Ribs were delicious as was the pulled pork. Served a very good baked potato instead of fries since they have no fried food. Would go back here often if I lived in the area. read more

I can not say much about this place food wise I was not that hungry when we stopped by. I did order the sausage cheese plate and I will say skip it. The sausage needed to be cooked more it was just kind of mushy. I asked the waitress if they could cook it more but she said they bake it I guess and could not cook it any more. But, I will say the place itself is nice I liked the patio and I hear great things about the ribs and BBQ and I will try it in the future. The girls here were great they always checked on us...I mean they actually had to the place is so small they are standing right there by us lol. Really yummy Tennessee BBQ. I had the ribs, sausage and chicken. Others in our party also had the pulled pork. Slaw was good and crunchy, not overly sweet. BBQ beans will haunt your dreams. SO good! Love, love the BBQ sauce. It's spicy and sweet with a hint of vinegar for tang. Comes in both hot and mild. Yum. Highly recommend trying out the Rib Cage. read more

We stopped by the Rib Cage for first time on the way back home & got some takeout. We ordered a smoked chicken salad and a full order of ribs - sides were double slaw - dinner for two - no drinks was about $30. Got home - unpacked - first off, the size of side of slaw is pathetic - this is packaged in a container the size of a golf ball. Two bites and you're done - the taste was good but by the time you started to enjoy it - it is gone! Cole slaw is one of the cheapest things on the menu to make. Don't skimp! The ribs were tender but not much flavor at all, definitely lacking smoke flavor. The smoked chicken salad - chicken was tough with no smoke flavor, bland and chewy - like boiled chicken - there was one slice of tomato and one pepperoccini and a piece of pickle - the rest was iceberg lettuce with a little shredded cheese. The size of the salad was the equivalent to a side salad container and they left out the dressing. We won't return. If it was an issue with the service or one of the items we would give a second chance - but for the price and the quantity of food - the best thing we ate last night was a side of canned green beans with bacon that I had to make with our meal to fill us up! If you're spending a day on the water and are starving - skip this place. read more

My son and I visited The Rib Cage looking forward to a some good southern ribs as we were visiting the area. We were very disappointed. The ribs were dry from the end to the middle of the rack. The cole slaw was flat in it's flavor profile and the service was nothing special. The baked beans were the best part of our meal but not worth the $40 tab. My first tip should have been that we were the only diners at 5:00 on July 3rd and the general Counce area was packed. read more

This place was the worst restaurant I have been in years. I ordered the half chicken plate for 9.99$, I received what looked more like a half of a Cornish hen and to make matter worse , the baked potato I received was HALF a small potato, (split in two and I received only one half) the beans and slaw tasted like they had bought it from Costco. The only unique and good thing was the bbq sauce. I don't normally give out reviews if it's bad I just move on and choose never to go back but this place has literally beat all I have ever seen.
