Another fabulous pork bbq lunch! Easy to taste why it's award winning. You should eat here soon. Teresa took really excellent care of us today.

Pork topped potato.

First thing I notice when I walked in was the contemporary Christian music playing and a sign that tennis is that Jesus is Lord. That was enough to gain 1 star in my book. I love a business that is willing to share their faith. Parking is a little odd. You pass building and park around back. Not a problem, just different. I was seated right away and the server got my drink right away. I had the pork topped baked potato. I ordered and in 3 minutes it was on my table. The potato was cooked perfect, there was a ton of pork as well as the other toppings like cheese and bacon. Before I ordered i asked if the pork was sliced, chopped or pulled. Pulled is my last favorite way to eat pork. She told me it was chopped so I stayed worth the pork. I would have ordered beef if she said it was pulled but it is definitely pulled. It wasn't bad just not my first choice. They have a hot bbq sauce with really good flavor that i recommend. The server came around regularly and my experience was good. It is really close to the airport, I would come again.

The wings were amazing! Got the dry rub and they were lip smacking good!! The chopped chicken and beef definitely needed sauce. Green beans were good and a little spicy. The lady at the drive thru window was super nice. Would come back for those wings for sure!!

Comfortable dining area.

Very established BBQ restaurant in Brainerd area that has been around for at least 35 years. They have had that staying power for good reason. Good food, friendly service, nice portions, makes for a good all around dining experience. The BBQ is better than most for sure. Sides are good, slaw is a little too mayonnaisey for my taste, but that's me. Potato salad is good as are the baked beans. Onion rings are also better than average and definitely worth a try as are their fries! All in all, if you are in the area and craving Q, Rib & Loin is worth a stop.

Beef brisket sandwich with a fried okra side.

Very nice people and good amount for the money. Sadly, you absolutely need bbq sauce for the brisket. Everything was good and hot and served nicely. I had plenty at lunch that I didn't eat dinner. The fried okra was really good and fried well. Well pleased with cooks for putting my tomato, pickle and mayo on the side. Probably if it would have had more seasoning, I would not have used the mayo and pickles. It is not horrible but I have definitely had better. Always nice to try a non-chain restaurant when traveling.

According to my friend that lives in Chattanooga, Rib and Loin is the hometown favorite for BBQ. Rib and Loin was voted best BBQ in Chattanooga from 2008-2016. It was very busy for a Sunday at lunch. The decor makes you think of a log cabin. When you go to the bathroom, there are logos 4 SEC teams hanging up. I thought it was hilarious that Auburn wasn't one of them since I am a Bama fan. Anyway, on to my entree. I went with the 3 meat combo of ribs, pork, and beef with sides of slaw and beans. The first meat I had was the ribs. Well Rib and Loin proved it lives up to its name. The ribs were hands-down the best meat on my plate. They were spare ribs with a good baste on them with just an excellent grilled taste. If I come back to Rib and Loin, I will be getting just the ribs. The beef and pork was good but was very pale in comparison to the ribs. The pork and beef came chipped. I think the pork was a little bit better. It seemed the seasoning just sank in better with the pork. There are 2 sauces. Both went well with all the meats and were tomato base. The regular is a mild, not very sweet but tangy sauce. The 2nd is a hot sauce and for a guy that loves some heat, the heat was substantial from the hot BBQ sauce. The slaw was very creamy and sweet. The beans were made from scratch and had a smoky, BBQ flavor to them. I usually order potato salad but I asked the waiter if it had celery in it. He said he thought so. He should make a note that there is a ton of celery in the potato salad. If you hate celery like me, stay away from it here. My sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! Rib and Loin is a solid choice for BBQ in Chattanooga. But I am afraid it is the sentimental choice for many to call it the best BBQ in Chattanooga. The ribs might be the best and the rest is pretty good.

Great food. We had a party of 60, service was friend and efficient. Food was great! We started with dessert first.

So on my first mainland trip in a couple years, I have been trying different burger shops. Jack Brown's had really high reviews, had a super fun vibe, and a really creative menu, which I love. Service was on point. Let's get the elephant out of the room right now - the size. lol I was prepared for a small burger from all the reviews, but, Shake Shack has a small burger, Jack-in-the-Box has a small burger. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight and the dog. But I ain't gonna lie, that is one tiny burger! It's like...five bites? One for each corner, and then the middle. lol They might be better off coring the middle, and marketing them as hamburger donuts. The easy fix is just order an extra patty for a few bucks more. Same as Shake Shack. The other thing I have a problem with is the, "we don't do lettuce or tomato..." line. Sorry, that's like a pizza with no toppings. Really, it just sounds like they found a way to reduce overhead by not having to prep and pay for vegetables. But whatever... if great burgers can be made without lettuce and tomato, and without a big patty...let's get it on. I'm sorry, but that patty was charbroiled to the point of no juice. This is where a tomato might help with moisture. lol I don't see how this is actually Wagyu. A Wagyu burger should be melting in my mouth. I don't know what happened, but it reminded me of my first job at Burger King, running whoppers through the flame broil conveyor belt. If you got one that just came out, you scored big time. But if you got one that just sat in the warmer for 10 minutes, you got a dry burger. It was a very disappointing burger. Then again, I just had a Shake Shack burger yesterday, and it was nomnom greasy goodness. Of course I was going to be disappointed. It's like Ozzy Osbourne following up Slipknot as the opening act. The fries were great. They came in a huge basket, and the price was very reasonable.

We tried a few beers from Five Wits and per her recommendation got the creamsicle shake as well. Solid beverage choices. The shake tasted part float part milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. Would order again. The food on the other hand was a bit eh. We ordered the Asian q burger and the mushroom melt burger and it took quite a while for them to come out and when they did they had unfortunately been left on the grill for way too long and were charred and crunchy. One set of our fries was cold and the bun to burger ratio was extremely off. Luckily, the staff agreed that our burgers were accidentally overcooked and they remade them no questions asked. The remade burgers were moist and better but still not fantastic. They were just burgers with minimal toppings on them. Not really seasoned and the flavor came from the toppings themselves. The buns were still too big for the burgers so there was a lot of extra bread and they have potential to be great but they were just average. Would have probably been a three star review but the staff and drink selection really earned the extra star. Would go back to drink and maybe snack but probably not order a burger.

With a large group & a small waiting area that was a bit tough but they took great care of us while we waited. I got a whiskey sour that was delicious. Once the table was ready the flipped it super quick to get us seated & started caring for us right away. The food was delicious! I got a Cuban which is a favorite of mine. Absolutely loved it & it was still great as a left over the next day. Several people at the table got the burger. They mentioned they would've liked more topping but that it was still delicious. Someone got fish & someone else got a steak they raved about how great it was. The fries were top notch. I'd go back just for the fries. The restaurant was loud so it was hard to talk in a large group. It was very clean & maximized the small space they have. When it's not the middle of summer it would be nice to sit outside on their patio. It seemed like if you were willing to sit there you got sat & served immediately. They kept the restaurant cool for the door being opened a lot. All of the staff were very helpful & helpful. We found this place because two friends who used to live here recommended it. We ordered the pork rinds, grilled figs, tomato salad, and the burger to share. Every bite was full of flavor and made you want to go back for more! The tomatoes in the salad were lovely and fresh, and the burger was cooked to perfection and topped with housemade pickles and melty cheese. We didn't have room for dessert this time, but we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Chatt.

Not far from where we were parked we found the Wooden City conveniently across from it all (dare I say a brisk walk's worth) with Mellow Mushroom and Ben & Jerry's establishments at both corners. We were given the options of staying inside or being placed outside and we chose (biased a lil) the opportunity of eating outside. We were taken care of accordingly by Jonathan, who is a perfect example of someone that makes tourism worth it, we chitchatted back-and-forth and came across some great options on our appetizers and drinks. While we waited for drinks, we were served water with ice as the weather outside was pleasant but a little too hot for the afternoon... When the appetizers arrived, we were greeted by not only demonstration, but taste above what I've had as of recent. Wife enjoyed the freshness of the tomatoes and cheese whilst I was mesmerized by how subtle and uber smooth my Old Fashioned was. We unwinded and talked about our day here in this city and then our next meal plates arrived. I had the very unique and well presented Beet Ravioli and the wife had the exquisite Spicy Lamb Rigatoni. Immediate upon arrival to our table my wife and I exchanged a bite of each other's plates to give a chance for our taste pallets to experience one another. The Beet Ravioli took back my wife to a time where she made something of similar taste and the Rigatoni took me back to California when I tasted something familiar then. Towards the end, I saved the location at the name of the restaurant, as I would like a near future to come back and visit with more time.
