This small hotspot is centrally located near the main downtown hotels and office district. It's a family owned and operated kitchen (currently working in some 4th generation newcomers) that has been serving quality at some very fair prices, for 10 years at this same location. Great takeout (limited seating) for breakfast and lunch. Don't go during the normal lunchtime hours if you're in a hurry because the local regulars are quite numerous. Lots of choices, and the friendly staff will guide your picks if you need it at first. Traditional Mexican is the basic fare, but chef Jorge can also make a mean cheeseburger. The hot food is generally awesome. Entering to the right aisle, please notice a nice cooler filled with various types of salads, handsliced fruits, drinks, and some assorted decadent desserts that are eligible for food stamps. You might notice the healthy bread used, or the $1 coffee. You might also notice that they build the sandwiches or plates on a counter in full view of the patrons, mainly because they're proud of their products and like to display that. If you're staying at a downtown hotel, their staffs aren't allowed to recommend Ria Market, since they also sell their own food. That's just sad, since one will see hotel uniforms coming and going at this place all day long. read more
