We were given an estimate which was right in line with what most websites indicate that the job would cost. Jose said he would start work in approximately 2-3 weeks. About 2 and a half weeks later, Jose and his crew showed up bright and early and got to work. I thought it would take several days, but much to my surprise, they finished the job in one day! They were very neat and no evidence of the old materials were left behind. Several weeks later, a gentleman came to finish installing the railings. My wife and I are very happy with the work that was done and would recommend Jose to family and friends that need masonary work.

All the bricks were pulled up and the highest standards used to reset and set brick. A cement curbing under the brick not only secured brick but provided a means for directing run off water. I had an awful experience with 5 Star Masonry; they don't appear to be licensed or insured. I initially hired them to repoint the brick foundation for $900. They went into my basement, said I had major water damage etc. and would need French drains and a new gutter system all for a whopping $12,000. They told me that they would need to purchase $6,000 in materials...which is outrageous. They implied that the recent rains had cracked our foundation, and they started work before signing a contract. I became suspicious when they didn't know the difference between a water pipe and a gas pipe. After some internet research, these guys have swindled two people (see other 1-star reviews) and they have an outstanding fine from the City of Warwick for not being licensed. Needless to say, we fired them! Please stay clear!
