So let me echo what has already been said: * Absolutely…read moretop-notch instruction from a many-time world champion * Friendly, accepting community of people who make you feel very welcome * Very reasonable rates for classes and membership And let me add this: I was curious about boxing, so I figured I had nothing to lose (first class is free, people) and went for it. Well, I could barely move over the next few days, but I love it. And I keep going back. I have been attending the "boxing for everyone" class on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and it absolutely kicks my butt every time. And when it's done, I feel like a total bad ass. If you're worried about a place being too macho, you can put those fears to rest. Bonnie and the other people there will push you and challenge you, but it is one of the most inclusive and welcoming environments I have experienced. And that review below from Eric M. is no joke. I have sparred with him, and he is seriously bad ass, as are all of the regulars. Tips: * The bathroom is small, so I recommend changing into your workout clothes beforehand. * Bring water -- you will need it! But if you don't, you can buy a bottle from the gym for $1.00. * The gym will lend you gloves and handwraps until you get your own.

I didn't know what to expect given that I had the opportunity to train with a coral belt, and was nervous about being judged or not measuring up to established expectations. I was welcomed to his gym as though I had been training there for years. I never once felt judged, criticized, or anything negative that I may have received from other gyms around the country. Professor Carlos not only helped me to fine-tune the techniques that I currently have under my belt (pun intended), but also taught me better ways to execute some of the escapes and sweeps that I already had learned. His style is very technical driven so leave your strength at home and keep an open mind that being physically strong will only take you so far in his class. I truly cannot wait to come back and train here when I visit South Florida. If you have an opportunity to train with Professor Carlos DO IT!! **HINT** **HINT** Being humble will take you far, and will open a world of knowledge and opportunity from one of the best technical fighters in this country. Respect goes a long way and respect goes both directions.

Master Carlos Rollyson is very knowledgeable. He is a 7th degree coral belt. His wife, Megan is a brown belt and an instructor. They are both very attentive to all of their students. I am a Worlds Master Champion, Miami Open Champion, Bronze at No Gi Worlds etc..... This was only possible because of Master Rollyson and all of my teammates. There is even a women's class four days a week! There's a competition class. There are early morning classes! This is the place to train!

After visiting a couple other martial arts and mma places, I entered this place expecting a cold and serious undertone. nope. I walk in to people excited to meet me and happy to pass their wisdom on to me. I can confidently say this is a place that I would recommend to almost anyone. With sensei's that have experience in dozens of martial arts styles, decades of wisdom, and an environment that promotes questions and creativity, I can confidently say this is now a second home to me. Heres some of the best reasons to go: 1.Learning from real life experience how to defend yourself in a dangerous scenario. 2.Learning discipline and training through rigorous belt standards that test your physical and mental capabilities. 3.Building strong connections with likeminded people who want to grow alongside you. 4.An environment where respectfully questioning and attempting to understand the validity of something is expected and encouraged. 5.A warmhearted group of people who welcome anyone from any background with open arms. 6.Learning martial arts and the beauty that comes with it through a mix of flow and strong striking. 7. A massive collection of wisdom from different martial arts, sports, backgrounds, and experiences. And men who are willing to help and guide you. 8. Doc, one of the kindest and most knowledgeable men I have ever met. I would definitely say come in and give the classes a try.
