This school has been a godsend for my son. We enrolled our child at three other preschools in the area before deciding to make the switch to Pacesetter and I'm so glad we did. The staff here is beyond accommodating, the environment is clean and the facilities are beautiful. It's very apparent how much the teachers actually care about their children and it shows. We receive photos throughout the day and most importantly my child is showing progress and seems to be flourishing, making friends, and excited to go back the next day. The director does such a great job at planning events and making every day unique and fun. If you can get on the waitlist do it because I cannot recommend this place highly enough. read more

When we moved into the area my husband and I were in a frenzy to find a good school for our daughter. After touring a few, Pacesetter stood out tremendously. The fact that the daycare has a computer lab, indoor gym(great for when it rains! Or just too hot!) and a pool is just phenomenal! So many classes are taught right in the school. Our daughter is coming up to 1 year since starting at Pacesetter and she has learned a lot! We especially appreciate the help with Potty Training during the pandemic! Ms. Lorenza told us one day to stop sending diapers and we were in shock! She was such a great teacher while she was in her class. My child has been at Pacesetter Academy for a year and a half and I have had enough of this place!!! There have been instances in which things have happened that have called into question, in my opinion, their ability to effectively run a daycare and provide the quality supervision I require as a concerned parent of a toddler. On one such instance, I saw a new teacher (who had only been there for less than a week), holding and caressing my child in her arms as if he was her baby. This was aHUGE concern for me, as I found this to be very inappropriate. I addressed this with the school, who ultimately fired the teacher but told me it was not because I complained but for other reasons unrelated to the inappropriate behavior that I witnessed. Another such incident occurred when my child was being bullied in school by another student and was bitten by the student as a result of the incident. MY child had a bite mark on his chest and when I asked what the school intended to do about the incident, they informed me that other than talking to the offending child's parent, there was nothing more that they can do. Meanwhile, I have to take my child to the doctor if his bite worsens (bearing all of the expense on my own). The owners, when addressing the issue with me were dismissive and proceeded to lecture me on the behavior of 3-year olds. As an individual with multiple degrees and a fundamental understanding of chid psychology, I didn't need a lecture. What I needed was an answer on how they would address my child's injury and ensure that this would never happen again. I received neither. Just as importantly, I think its important that parents of children at the school know that the management and owners seem to treat their employees (the teaching staff) in a very hostile and mean spirited way. I have witnessed them leave staff members in tears over seemingly trivial issues. Moreover, I have witnessed them rule their staff in a climate of fear and intimidation that is unacceptable in today's society and business environment. It makes me feel really sad for the wonderful teachers there who have to deal with constant abuse, mistreatment and other forms of harassment at the hands of their bosses as they strive to make a living on less than $10 an hour. As such, I have made the decision to move my child rather than continue to subject him to the issues he has encountered. Furthermore, I REFUSE to financially contribute to a business model that treats its most valuable assets, its employees, as if they are less than human. The teachers deserve more... and so do the students. If you decide to take your children here, beware that you will be putting them in a less than suitable environment for learning and thriving! read more

Amy is my first baby and I was always anxious about daycare but knew the day would come. I had heard horror stories of other daycares from my friends so i spent a whole year researching which would be the best one for Amy. We are so lucky to have found and decided on PaceSetter. Amy has been there for two years and I am blown away by how smart she has gotten with their great teachers. I also know she is safe there and has very personalized attention which is super important to me. We moved neighborhoods last year so PaceSetter is now 45 min away from me, but i keep bringing Amy here because it is simply the best option in South Florida. My 3 year, 4 month old daughter has been attending Pacesetter Academy since July 2019. Over the past 10 months, they have done a great job monitoring her progress and recommending her for advancement to the next level class, as necessary. I used to be a DCF Family Counselor, doing inspections at daycares and giving technical assistance. Let me just say, after visiting and touring many, many daycares and preschools for my own daughter to attend, Pacesetter gave me a great vibe. The campus is clean, spacious, and stimulating for young minds. Complete with a fenced, in-ground pool in which they offer swimming lessons in the summer, a media room, playground, and gym-- it has it all. The student-to-teacher ratio is great. They have monthly calendars in which parents can see what concept or topic will be taught on DAILY basis. Teachers also post their daily lesson plans inside the classroom. During this pandemic, they have ensured students who are staying home have the opportunity to keep learning from home. From 21-day learning kits, Zoom preschool classes, to online parent accounts on DocPreschool, this is definitely the best preschool in Miramar/Pembroke Pines. They actually earned the award of Best Preschool in Miramar shortly before school closures. As a daycare, they are allowed to remain open during this pandemic and have been doing great at cleaning more frequently. Rugs, toys, everything is disinfected and pristine. Just follow them on IG and see for yourself. I am a school psychologist and, thus, am able to keep my daughter home with me during school closures, but I very much look forward to my daughter's return to Pacesetter. read more

I definitely recommend Pacesetter Academy to all parents for their little ones. Now that it is under new ownership/leadership the early learning center has been rejuvenated. It has a fresh modern approach to early learning, child engagement, and parent-child-teacher collaboration to ensure that the education provided is tailored to the child's academic needs. The staff and teachers are very warm, nurturing, and understanding to the needs of the students. The environment and atmosphere feels like home which makes it easier for the students to feel at ease and comfortable. I am very thrilled with this daycare. My son has grown so much since he's started. He learned how to use the bathroom in just a matter of 2 weeks of starting. Having a bad experience from previous daycare, I saw such a change in his behavior and independence. He loves going to school. She was a preemie when she started and they were very accommodating with her needs and having her therapist come in to work with her. My son has been going here for 2 years and it only gets better. The staff is AMAZING ! First he was in Ms. Latisha's class and she was perfect. She is very patient, kind, and caring with the class. My son ran into her arms everyday. He has asthma and she was always very attentive with making sure he was breathing well. She is proactive with behavior concerns and help us to find a positive reward chart that the class responded to. He is now in vPK with Mr. Anthony and I am even more impressed than I was last year. Pacesetter Academy is a SCHOOL not just a daycare. Mr. Anthony has the class already doing sight words, reading three letter sentences, colors, shapes...and this is just the first quarter of the school year ! Amazing ! The management team is also GREAT ! Ms. Monica and Ms. Erica are always open to our concerns and make the time to talk when needed. I completely love this school. My son was 2 when he started here. It is a bit pricey but for what you pay you get soo much education and value. My son never gets sick here. At his old school he was constantly getting sick. The staff is amazing and they truly care for your child and their education. After visiting five different schools (and losing spaces at two of them), we found Pacesetter the day before I was to go back to work. Thankfully they had space! I was super nervous about leaving my little two month baby for the first time but my time at home had ended. Ms. Adriana is seriously the best teacher you can leave your baby with- she's like the baby whisperer ;). It only took a couple of days and I felt completely confident that my baby was going to be just fine. The staff know the children by name- not just the teachers and it's like a little family. My child attends the school. The teachers are willing to assist when asked and administration is attentive to all needs. I have had prior concerns about some staff, but administration worked with the teacher to make adjustments. Overall, I feel my child is safe and happy. The extra curricular activities are great and engaging...options are always good. I would like to see more in terms of academia. Outside of a few letters and numbers here and there, I am not sure what my child is learning in terms of her basic education. As a result, I do several at-home activities and lessons. read more

My son started this school when he was about 2 1/2 and when he 1st started i was so amazed. The staff was amazing, he was learning so much at this school. My son actually continued here through vpk up until about 5/3. Please do not get me wrong the teachers here are amazing, my son learned so much at this school. He did strive while he was there and the teachers really do care about the kids and their learning abilities however the front office staff is where I have the problem. The owner of this school is very money hungry, rude and doesn't have any compassion for those kids in my opinion. My son got very sick with about a month left of school he had a 104.0 fever and I had to take him to the hospital where they advised me he had a virus and bronchitis. My son was kept out of school for an entire week not being allowed to return to school until the following Tues. When i called the school to advise his teachers(who i loved) he will not be in school the owner answered and instead of her wishing he gets well she advised me "to avoid a late fee" make sure you bring a doctors note when he returns which I understood and agreed with. My son had a follow up appointment on Monday so the doctor cleared him to return to school on Tues but the school payments are due the Friday before or that Monday. When I took my son to school and to pay for the tuition to my surprise I was advised I had to pay 40.00 in late fees. My son was very sick and couldn't attend school so why should i have to pay late fees? According to the owner I should've paid the tuition that Monday or that Friday even though my son was sick and i was taking care of a sick child. I ask her "did you expect for me to stop taking care of my child just to come pay tuition to avoid paying a late fee" when he was just cleared to return to school on tueday? that doesn't make sense. She had no compassion as a owner of a educational facility or as a parent. She replied to me " well when your son left here on Friday, he didn't look sick to me" as if i was lying about my son being sick. I ask her to waive the fee and she refused so because of that i took my son out of that school and hes not able to graduate from vpk with his friends. The teachers here are great put just please be mindful the owner of the school has no compassion because instead of her providing me a credit of 40.00 she told me my son couldn't come back unless i paid the fee. It was not about the money but more about the principle because that prove to me I do not want my son attending a school where the owner never said " im happy he's doing well" but cared about if I was going to pay a late fee or not. If you have other options make sure you do your research and review their policies as to missing school etc. Oh and did i forget to add if your child misses an entire week of school for being sick and has a doctors note you still have to pay 50% tuition for that week which I don't think any other daycare does this but I maybe wrong.
