We have also hired Kairos for ACT test prep, and know our son is in the best hands. The private and small group instruction is top notch. Our son's work and scores have dramatically improved along with his confidence. The tutors are consistently prompt, friendly, prepared, and engaged, and have a unique way of connecting with students, as well as holding them accountable. Our son is at ease with Young Park, and continues to learn and improve, even beyond what is required for current school work and ACT prep. The tutors are also very organized and responsive, and genuinely care about students and guiding them to success. We cannot recommend Kairos Academics more highly ... Out of 5 stars, he receives 6!

I've never considered myself anywhere near strong at altitude tests until Young's ACT tutoring! In…read moremy initial ACT diagnostic test, I received a 23 composite, nothing unusual from my previous preACT and PSAT scores in school. At the beginning, I lacked confidence, but I was open to improvement. Young's ACT classes were well-paced, making it easy to manage with my busy soccer schedule and 5 AP classes during junior year. They were also surprisingly enjoyable, and I looked forward to classes in the positive, motivating environment. Young is such a genuine and caring person, acting as a continuous cheerleader, even when progress seems to plateau. We focused on each section individually, gaining exposure and explanations to all possible question types based on past ACTs that Young reviewed. Each section came with a summarized packet of question types, rules, formulas, and approach methods, which I found extremely useful when reviewing for my test.  Before starting classes, I filled out the information sheet and wrote a score of 32 for my realistic ACT goal. In the end, I surpassed my goal with a 34, my most significant improvement being in the English section from a 21 to 35! I highly recommend Young's classes for comprehensive preparation, frequent practice tests, and an encouraging environment.

HOWEVER after tutoring students for over 10 years for the GMAT, I am confident that Manhattan is the best in the business. I had thought that my curriculum was unique until I discovered that Manhattan's is very similar to mine - we even use similar language. They certainly didn't copy me and I didn't copy them - but we both came to the same conclusions as to how the GMAT should be approached. I started out teaching the GMAT for a major (un-named) test-prep company and I quickly found out that there were much better ways to approach the test, so I developed my own (now proven) curriculum. Any of my students who follow what I teach score a 700+. And again - Manhattan seems to follow an extremely similar approach. This being said: please don't think of Manhattan as any sort of guarantee. Only those students who bust their butts get a good score. Its just that Manhattan gives students the best chance.

I cannot thank them enough and feel they are absolutely worth working with, given how much my life's trajectory has changed since working with them. Their feedback on my essays and app was absolutely invaluable, and their scientific methodological breakdown approach was reassuring. His guidance proved invaluable; our son was accepted not just to a few strong schools, but to several of the most competitive institutions in the country, including Caltech, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Brown. Dr. Haig was transparent and upfront about pricing, and his feedback on essays was particularly impactful. He helped our son present not only his academic strengths but also his intellectual curiosity and emotional maturity, qualities that truly differentiate applicants at the highest level, where many candidates already have near-perfect scores. He also provided strategic guidance on presenting extracurricular activities and honors/awards in a way that maximized their impact. Based on our experience, we enrolled our two younger children earlier in high school, which has allowed them to more intentionally plan and prioritize meaningful activities. On a personal level, Dr. Haig is kind, very responsive, and genuinely invested in his students' success. He has also served on the admissions committee of various colleges, and he brings this wealth of information, insight, and experience to his work. We highly recommend him and have already referred family and friends.

Blueprint checks all of those boxes and goes beyond what I could have expected. For teaching, I was lucky to have Ross Rinehart. He made every class fun and interesting, created a healthy learning environment for students of all backgrounds, and took the time to give detailed feedback to all of my questions even after the course was finished. The curriculum is also very approachable and provides a roadmap for understanding each question type on the LSAT. This progression is greatly enhanced by the weekly trainings and homework problems that are automatically loaded into your account. The material will not come simply by attending the classes but if you trust the process and commit to completing the work you will make tremendous progress. Finally, the platform is phenomenal! It is very easy to track your progress, stay motivated, and get detailed explanations for each question. Having a video breakdown of almost all LSAT games was incredibly helpful when working through problems as well as the detailed explanations provided for each wrong answer choice and why they were incorrect. The platform also has an arbitrary point system that at first seems unnecessary but eventually becomes an excellent motivational tool that helped me stay on track with my studies. I would recommend this class to anyone regardless of whether you choose to do in person or online. My score was improved by over 20 points and I really believe the class is worth it!
