    Pork sliders

We were here at opening in a Sunday. It wasn't busy and the service was very good. My wife had the bbq pork sliders and I,the conch and seafood ceviche. Both were very flavorful and served taro chips. The chips were kinda salty though. The beach vibe is a nice change, being here in St. Louis. I can attest that the pina colada and pain killers were enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back with friends the next time!

Stumbled upon this bar because it was listed on the Passport Program and loved it. Extensive drink list with almost 50 different rums from all over the world. They also have a fun list of cocktails with different twists in each. For the food, definitely something new. Caribbean style food, but the waiter we had was extremely helpful and suggestive on what to get according to our normal food likings. Excited to go back soon and try a different menu item.

We visited Rhone Rum Bar because we love vacationing in Jamaica and thought it would be nice to have a little of the Caribbean in St. Louis. We were all very impressed. Love the look of the place, modern yet fun & beachy. There were several games towards the back. We didn't really play any this time, but would take advantage of that in the future. They had a great band playing. We all loved the song selections, it wasn't the usual cover band songs that everyone does. My only complaint was it was very loud and hard to hold a conversation. Had we been able to get a table away from the speakers this probably wouldn't have been a problem. The drinks were great, it was nice to be able to order an Appleton and Ting in the US! The Pirate's Paloma was light and refreshing, and the rum punch was a great throwback to Jamaica. The drinks were pretty reasonably priced considering other places charge several dollars more per drink for specialty cocktails. Every food item we ordered was incredible. My husband is an amateur food critic and can be hard to please and he thought everything was outstanding. All three varieties of hand pies, conch fritters, jerk wings and seafood chowder. The seafood chowder was probably the table favorite, and I especially loved the veggie pies. We will definitely return! Next time we'll try the shrimp, and are also very intrigued by the scotch bonnet cheese sauce used on the nachos.

I hosted a surprise party here for my husband's birthday, and it went off without a hitch. Adisa and Adnan answered all my questions quickly in the months leading up to the surprise, and because an event was not planned the night beforehand, they even let me come and drop off beverages for chilling. We had Aya Sofia (Mediterranean restaurant in South STL City) cater the party, and they did a fantastic job of coordinating the drop-off and pick-up of their serving ware, and the food was a hit. We had an open self-service bar, which guests appreciated but did get a bit crowded as a lot of people tend to gather near the huge kitchen counter where the bar is located. The facility does have one step inside, but the Atelier 1879 team has made their facility fully accessible with a portable ramp that fits nicely over the step. Adisa and Adnan have thought of everything! Parking was not an issue for our guests. It's a residential neighborhood and is positioned next door to Yemanja Brasil Restaurant (which is delicious!). All in all, I could not have asked for a better venue and experience.

The staff... wow.. another story.. Outside bar had an AMAZING waitress, Jess, that truely made our nights and was so awesome and fun. Jess deserves a raise and if you go to Venice cafe avoid literally any bar tender except for Jess. The old lady bar tender on inside bar took two extra dollars from me (I guess thinking I wasn't gonna tip? ) despite me leaving three on the bar and me pointing it out to her. Then a very very large brown haired curly bearded man completely ignored me at the bar, at like 4pm it was me standing directly in front of the bar by myself while he had co convos and gave bar backs shots. I couldn't have made this up.. I couldn't think of anything to even say to address that wasnt not kind or out of pocket so I left. It was an unreal experience and from what I've heard about management just from patrons there they wouldn't care anyway, it was alienating and gross behavior. Venice cafe had a good reputation and it was on my list forever, but I've already shared with more of my groups that we can go somewhere else and be treated much better. I'd second guess this option unless Jess is working outside in the bar.

Their patio is fantastic when the weather is nice and creates a charming, upscale atmosphere. That said, the interior is just as inviting, with a romantic and moody ambiance that makes for a great evening out. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations throughout the meal. You can tell the owner and chef take pride in creating a memorable dining experience. We started with the garlic herb fries, which were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I also ordered the classic Caesar salad, and it was authentic, fresh, and perfectly executed. For my entrée, I chose the strip steak, and it was outstanding--easily one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. The cook was flawless, the flavor was incredible, and every bite showcased the chef's attention to detail. Overall, this was a 10/10 dining experience, and I can't wait to return.

The parking lot had spaces available. We walked in and there was an event space on the right and a large sofa and chairs against the back wall. Signs indicated where to go for Bellwether so we went around the windows showing the climbing wall to the elevator. Upstairs we were greeted promptly and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for inside and she led us down one level to the second floor. I think the building is really cool, and the restaurant is well appointed, exposed brick, cool lantern hanging lamps, bookshelves filled with books and odds and ends, Waitress was friendly, there were only a couple of tables on the floor, but she wasn't intrusive and let us take out time. It filled up more by the time we left. The menu had several things I wanted to order but ended up deciding on the breakfast fried rice. We also ordered the cinnamon roll for the table. Coffee was hot and kept refilled, but it was just ok. The cinnamon roll was tasty. The fried rice was great and the fried egg on top was well cooked and tasty. One of our party ordered a side of sausage, it was four links and they were good, another ordered the pork belly sandwich and that was one of my other choices, I tried it and was impressed! I thought it would be too sweet, but it was perfect. Viewing the pictures of dinner, can't wait to go back for that and sitting outside!
