Beautiful natural stone everywhere. Note that the website offers photos of each room and you can book the room you prefer. -The staff are wonderful: Brianna the bartender, Kat the "breakfast wizard", and all the front desk and other staff. Personable, always up for good conversation, really committed to excellent service. -Continental breakfast is next-level with treats from Stick Boy bakery. If you're lucky to be there on a day when there are lemon lavender scones - don't miss them. -A parking lot in downtown Boone! With a back door leading to it! -Walking distance to Mast Store, Appalachian Theatre of the High Country, App State campus, school logo shops, restaurants and breweries, and much more. -A rooftop bar with gorgeous views, also excellent just for sitting and sunning anytime. The indoor bar area is beautiful and comfortable as well. We have nothing but good things to say. It's a wonderful hotel and we feel welcomed like family there. HIGHLY recommended!

The room walls are thin so we heard a lot of noise from the outside waking us up early in the morning. You also have to pay for parking at 25 a night but there was a lot of construction making it difficult to get our car out. I know not the hotels fault but definitely keep that in mind. They had really nice robes. They also had a sound machine in the room. We had a thing on the wall that would randomly flash at night and beep. We had issues with the bathroom. The door would not close all the way and We could not get hot water when we tried to shower late at night. We had to go to the front desk and they had to call maintenence which took a bit to work through the issue. Eventually they got the hot water back but an annoying time waster. They discount our stay at 10% for the issue. The breakfast was really nice full of local pastries. The staff was so nice and friendly. The lobby area and bar was super nice and had a cute vibe. The roof top is super pretty at nice with nice fire pits. The staff was super friendly. I would have rated a 4 star but the price was high plus the issues we had knocked it down a star.

Having read some reviews prior to my stay, I knew to ask for a room on the backside of the hotel because of Highway 105 traffic. Although I am not sure how bad that would have been. But the hotel did honor my request and put me on the top floor. So I did have a peaceful stay to rest up. The exercise room, pool and laundry room were clean. Behind the hotel were some trees and a retaining wall. The front desk staff was helpful, especially Chris, with helping me navigate the traffic in Boone. He even seemed interested in the NC Musicians Mural Trail. The hotel has one elevator, and it is slow, so be prepared to wait. There was a chair in the hallway to sit while waiting. They really need another one for the size of the hotel. The location wasn't the easiest to get in and out of either, and it seemed dangerous to make a left from the parking lot. As nice as the hotel and staff were, I'd likely stay elsewhere next time because of the location and the slow elevator.

I had driven through Boone several times without stopping to stay the night before I found a reason…read morehere. Apparently everyone else does the same thing, because this hotel is on what is apparently the main road traversing the region, and the traffic noise was terrible, which is not what I thought was going to happen in Boone NC. The room was functional and I had no difficulty getting late checkout. The internet was functional for telework and I even found work space outside my room when I had to check out. Breakfast is not included, but I had no difficulty finding quality options in the town. I wonder if the road noise would be less with a room facing away from the street, but I'm not sure if that would be the case. Maybe the surrounding mountains create a bowl that reflects all the sound back in. If I had some real quality method of reducing the noise, I'd have liked the hotel more.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would!…read more I can be pretty picky when it comes to lodging. The Manor at Blowing Rock checked all my boxes, and then some! I would define it as "Sophisticated Simplicity". I was staying here for a personal getaway and was assigned to a beautiful room with a separate sitting room, a gorgeous bathroom, and a zen bedroom. The decor was lovely, stylish and tasteful. The staff was professional and helpful. It was quiet and relaxing and only a short walk away from the town center, perfect location! There is a pretty little creek that winds along the back garden area, I really enjoyed sitting out and watching the ducks. I am torn between keeping this little gem all to myself, and sharing its amazingness with the world! I can't wait to come back.

To say that the Mast Farm Inn was wonderful is simply not enough. From the time you step on…read moreproperty you are transported to another world. A world of yore filled with peace and comfort. The staff is immeasurably kind, the other folks staying in the house and cottages around you cannot help but share in this kindness. It's like going to a family reunion while also having peace and space to yourself. The rooms are the definition of comfort - and yes, tv's are nowhere to be found. It's a freeing feeling where you can just focus on those around you. Small radios are in each room and old radio stories on cd are available for your enjoyment during your stay. There's large clawfoot tubs large enough for two, and each item is delicately chosen to stay within the realm of an old farmhouse from long ago. There are treats and coffee available at all hours of the day and night, a delicious breakfast that is 2nd to none, and a social every day with meats, vegetables, and cheeses that is unlike anything you've had before. We decided to enjoy ours on the front porch in rocking chairs and I must say that it was one of the most enjoyable parts of the whole stay! The town around the Inn is stunningly charming. It feels like one should be walking or taking a wagon from the Inn, rather than driving, to the General Store or to Over Yonder restaurant which is just a short distance from the Inn. I cannot speak highly enough of this B&B. We will definitely be back and if you're considering staying, consider no longer. Reserve now!

This is a very new addition to Blowing Rock, built in 2024. And it shows, the place is spotless, modern and bright. The lobby has an amazing lounge and bar area with a full service fine dining style restaurant. Everything about is sleek and modern. We enjoyed an amazing evening at the bar and restaurant (separate review). Our room was immaculate, and again a very modern and sleek style. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, not a single complaint about the room or the cleanliness. And the views facing downtown Blowing Rock from the patio with the mountains in the background was superb. We enjoyed morning coffees and afternoon happy hours on this comfy patio overlooking the heart of Main St in downtown Blowing Rock. A pleasant surprise was the continental style breakfast which is included with the stay. A kicked up version with better food from what you'd expect at a Hampton Inn or comparable hotel. Highly recommend for a great stay in the heart of Blowing Rock!

An imperfect experience...The good news first: The Embers is new, attractive, perfectly situated…read morefor walking around Blowing Rock, and has a staff that is unfailingly friendly and helpful. Room rates clearly reflect the premium location, but are not as bad as you might expect. But there is also the less good news: the rooms (judging by our "standard king") are smallish (not European hotel small, but getting close...), and a bit inconvenient (our closet was awkward to get into). Ice can only be sourced from the front desk and the bar/dining area can be noisy. And as for noise, there were hotel mechanicals (we were told it was an exhaust fan from the kitchen 3 stories below) clearly and somewhat unpleasantly audible in our room. We were told that this was being worked on, but it seems to me that The Embers has been open long enough to have had this resolved by now. So net...a very good and convenient place stay, but don't expect it to be without some minor annoyances.

What we did not not like this visit is the Unit, itself is starting to show wear, I burned mysef on the fireplace control as the front panel is broken and flops around and got stuck in the fold up cover that hides the controls and of course while the fire was going. The walls need repainting. They say they will charge you if you do not clean the grill but when we got there it was filthy and we had to clean it to use it, then clean it again at check out. It had been snowing and there had been no attempt to clean or salt the stairs and landings. We had no gas to the unit and Eric, who is an old Navy Vet and very professional and friendly, got us hooked up so the fireplace I eventually burned myself on worked. So yes, I would recommend this place including the unit cause of where it is but keep your expectations a low and be pleasantly pleased. Escape to the Mountains

But I'm so glad we didn't make our first visit here in the winter. We would have never gotten up to the condo with how steep the roads were. I think if you plan on cooking, have a 4x4 vehicle, and don't want to do much other than cook and enjoy the views in your condo, this is a great choice. But we are active with our kids and it was a chore to get on and off the property.
