This was a super nice Hampton to stay at. Now I've been traveling for three weeks, so this is like the eight Hampton Inn I've stayed at during this time. This is the only one that I can remember having cheese and charcuterie boards set out in the evening. I don't know if it was something they normally do on Friday nights or it was because this weekend there was a get to know the parents night at the local college along with some big game, but it was pretty spiffy nonetheless. You know what wasn't spiffy? The pricing. I get that on nights when there are important games or whatever that the price is going to go up n hotel rooms, but ... (whistles softly). read more

HORRIBLE. I've never stayed at a worse hotel. They called the cops on us for being loud in our hotel room when we were at a wedding at the time we were supposedly being loud. Three hours later when we came back we went to bed, they slammed on our door while we were sleeping and kicked us out. Holden at the front desk was so the worst person I've ever met. He gave me a key to the room earlier that day without asking any of our names or who was on the rez or anything which is concerning to say the least. The COPS even apologized to us saying that this Holden guy calls them all the time. I have never had such a horrible experience. Hampton, if you stand on good business... consider your vision statement and Holdens employment there. read more

Good: clean, working order, good breakfast Bad: I don't know if "suite" is a term of art but we sought and paid extra for a suite to have a tiny bit of privacy between us and our adult daughter for one night. This "suite" was a regular room with 2 queens maybe 5 wider than a normal room, with a couch. Did not meet what we were looking for and shouldn't be called a suite IMHO. read more

We always stay at this location when visiting our Student at APP State. Rooms are always clean & fresh. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast area is always clean and food is fresh and well maintained. Hampton Inn is a Hilton owned hotel and there is a Rewards Program. We have had numerous stays for free by using the Program. read more

We spent two nights here in June and came away impressed. First, the staff is unusually friendly and efficient. Second, the rooms -- in fact the entire hotel -- is spotlessly clean and inviting. And it's been fairly recently renovated so that the rooms are very appealing with new TVs and bathrooms that feature great walk-in showers and pulls-out shelving. We don't care much for the breakfasts, but for those who do there are a few hot items available (eggs, sausages, waffles, etc.). Very comfortable stay, though we wish the hotel had another entrance/exit besides the one that fronts busy US 421. read more

We love staying at this Hampton Inn. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The lobby is very comfortable and perfect for hanging with friends after a day of skiing/activities around the area. Stayed here twice. Once in March 2021 and again in June 2021. The nicest staff! Very helpful, always nice and pleasant. The place was very clean from the entry to the room. The room was perfect and clean! The morning breakfast both times was great considering staff was probably limited. The breakfast there is a great way to get something quick and go. I'm not saying it's an Apple and water either. It's more like eggs, oatmeal, bagels, waffles, sausages, bacon, muffins and more! The breakfast varies each day but there's more than plenty. We stay at a lot of Hampton Inns and this one is top on our list! Hope this helps anyone who needs to know! read more

How lucky are we? As evacuees from Hurricane Florence, we were a bit shell-shocked as we checked in. The staff has been nothing but kind, gracious and compassionate- making sure all their guests are being well taken care of. Pets are usually not allowed in this hotel- but because of Florence, there are several dogs staying with their families. Thank you Hampton Inn for doing the right thing and keeping fur babies with their families! The rooms are comfortable, very clean and there is a work station/desk. The complimentary breakfast is pretty awesome. You can make healthy choices (or not) and everything is fresh and yummy. They even offer almond milk & glutton free waffles. WHAT? The location is pretty good- we walked the 1.5 miles into downtown Boone from the hotel and the walk was safe- sidewalks and crosswalks available all the way. There's a Lowe's grocery store, a Regal theater and a few restaurants on block away. There's a Bojangles conveniently across the street from the hotel. The gym is new - 3 treadmills, a stationary bike, a stair master, a weight machine and free weights. I also noticed a yoga mat. The indoor pool looks clean and long enough to log in a few laps if you want. Kids were having a great time using it when I walked past. We hope to return to Boone under less stressful conditions and look forward to staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites again. read more

We stayed two nights. The front desk staff was so welcoming and friendly. The entire place was clean and adhered to covid19 distancing. Our room was impeccably clean! The housekeeping staff greeted us on the way to our room and deserves credit for doing a great job! The only downside was the prepackaged breakfast due to covid19. But again, not their fault. They did make an effort to provide several choices. The price per night was a little higher than we're used to paying, but to be expected in a tourist area of NC. The property is a brand new location, it was built in 2016. The staff is amazing here, they are some of the best. They have little extras that other hotels Don't include. Some of these extras include marshmallows for your hot chocolate or local chocolates that you get even you check in. The morning breakfast is amazing also 10/10! read more

Must be brand new location. I was thrilled to see a Hampton come back into Boone. They had one before but it closed and became something else. I am a loyal Hilton traveler hitting 60-90 nights a year worldwide and I stay in a lot of Hamptons. This one was very nice, clean and had a good staff working. My room was large, clean and modern. The only small gripe is the single in and out entrance on a steep hill down to 421 which can be very busy to get in and out of. Otherwise I will stay here always for my yearly trips to Boone. read more

The Hampton Inn in Boone went above and beyond for my son and daughter in law on their wedding night when the Horton Hotel in downtown Boone canceled their reservation the week of their wedding!!(I had made that reservation a year in advance but they wanted the celebrity that was in town to stay at their hotel!!) Expect Nothing and You'll Be Satisfied. After hearing about how charming the mountain town of Boone is, my husband and I booked one night at the Hampton Inn in late July as it was en route to our destination further south. We arrived very late, about 1 am, after driving more than 11 hours and through a winding state road that made the last hour seem like an eternity. When we arrived we were told that there had been a water main break that afternoon and the entire town of Boone was on alert not to use tap water for drinking; showering only. Although the hotel provided bottled water for us, anybody who has tried to brush their teeth or wash their face with bottled water knows it takes forever, and just how safe is bottled water? In any case, we were too exhausted to look for other accommodations although if we had known about Boone's problem earlier, there were at least half a dozen Hampton Inns we could have stopped at before we reached Boone. Although I have several health issues that made this inconvenience a bigger deal than it might be for other guests, the hotel management offered nothing more than an apology and kept repeating the fact that bottled water was available. The hotel could have easily notified guests scheduled for that night (including us; they had my contact info) of the problem and Hilton could have offered to honor our reservation at any Hampton that had availability. They did not, and their refusal to honor my request for a refund for our inconvenience or at least a credit toward another stay at the hotel speaks volumes. On a side note, because of the drinking water issue, no restaurants were open the next morning either and we had to drive over an hour to the next town to get a cup of coffee and "breakfast". What industry exactly does Hilton/Hampton represent? Certainly not hospitality. Not only will I choose a different hotel for all my future travels, but I will be sure to avoid ever traveling to or through Boone NC. read more

Really enjoyed our stay. Prior to making our reservation we had just checked in and out very quickly from the Super 8 Wyndham which was not a good choice. Called the Hampton and spoke with front desk supervisor Ryan and he immediately made me feel like a guest before I even arrived. He explained the room Lay out and even let my family and I check out a few rooms before making the reservation. Ryan and Katie made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Very cold the weekend we stayed but the indoor pool area was very toasty and the kids had a great time. The coffee was perfect, the free breakfast was even good. The best part about our stay is that our suite was very comfortable and spacious for a family of 4. Again Ryan made us not only feel like guest but like family. As we left and return from our outings he would yell "The Robertson's are back" and that right there gets our money. All the staff we encountered were very professional and friendly. What a great hotel. The place is impeccably clean. Our suite was roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The shower is huge, and it had a really nice plumbing configuration: the shower head is on one side and the valve is on the other, so you can get in the shower and turn the water on while not standing underneath it, so you don't get blasted with cold water. The bathroom vanity also has really nice slide outs open drawers to keep your toiletries. There were plenty of pillows and the shades are very thick so you can draw them down all the way and the room will stay dark so you can sleep as long as you want. The bed was very comfortable and we didn't wake up with sore backs like we do at most hotels. The breakfast was decent: plenty of fresh fruit, yogurt, and healthier options in addition to sausage, waffles, and such. All the staff was really friendly. We will definitely stay here again. read more
