They completely mixed me up with another student. And that they tried charging me more money and what's even more funny is that the head person over there her name is Sophia lied up my face twice. If I could give them negative stars I would. Students are required to schedule seven drives through Rhode's online scheduling website. Unfortunately, my experience over the last five weeks with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. After signing up and waiting for the office to "approve" my account, I finally logged in to schedule my daughter's first drive, only to find nothing available. I was told to check the site every day until something opened up. A week later, I learned the first drive couldn't even be booked online and had to be scheduled manually. That would've been helpful to know upfront. After her first lesson, I was told by Celeste to check back that Friday to book the next drive. Again, wrong. No openings, no clickable links. Then I was told drives must be 28 days apart, another key detail never mentioned before. Even after waiting the full 28 days, there was still no availability. My husband called on a Tuesday and was told the schedule would open at 3 PM Wednesday. I checked first thing Thursday morning, still nothing. When I called again, Celeste told me I needed to log in three times a day for several days each week just to catch a spot before it filled up. She said the system generates sessions randomly, there's no rhyme or reason to it, and there's nothing the office can do. When I spoke to a so-called "manager" Meghan, she repeated the same excuses. When I voiced my frustration about being given conflicting information and an inefficient system to work with, she accused me of not understanding their process, used inappropriate and insulting language, spoke over me and refused to have any accountability. I ended the call as it wasn't going anywhere only for her to call back and leave a voicemail informing me that she canceled my daughter's upcoming drive and contract entirely, ultimately not fulfilling their end of the agreement. My daughter also reported the vehicle she drove in with an instructor was falling apart, having to use the high beams the entire drive since the low beams were out, talking the entire drive and not paying attention to the students in the vehicle. This is, without question, the most unprofessional, incompetent, disorganized, and disrespectful company I've ever dealt with. They refuse to hold themselves accountable for any wrong doing and treat paying customers like garbage. Teaching your child to drive on your own will feel like cupcakes and rainbows compared to the chaos and dysfunction of Rhodes Driving School. read more

Rhodes on Potranco is very unprofessional, we paid full price and if you look at their schedule for driving with an instructor is book and they can only book1 a month, which mean my daughter could have waited until she is 18, it will take her 6 months to finish? When I spoke to general manager there on Potranco she is stern and not willing to help with any appointment but when I talked with another lady in the office which is only 3 of them there she mentioned toned she could, so really the General manager is not willing to help . read more

My daughter did her classroom work with them to get her license. They are incapable of scheduling more than one supervised drive per month and they NEVER have drivers available. It was going to take another eight months for my daughter to get her license. So I'm forking out another $379 to another school so she can get her supervised driving in. I work in customer service. That's not what they offer. My daughter is pretty level headed and has always been something of a rule follower, unlike her old man. But she's beyond frustrated, which takes quite a bit for her. Don't waste your money. The good reviews here are probably from friends and family of the the employees. Hence their two starts instead of one. read more

Such a wonderful group of people, really assuaged our concerns, driving test was simple, tester was very kind. From initial phone call to set a driving test appointment to the completion of that, things were explained in detail with patience. People were so nice here in what can be a stressful experience. If you're a parent who wasn't able to schedule drive time for their children either please look up the Texas licensing board, once on the website you can click file a complaint and the complaints go directly to the state. My daughter was never able to schedule drive time in their schedule2drive system. I had to check in frequently as they would never confirm how many actual drive time slots they have open or when they would post the schedule. I was told "just keep logging in" As a result I was able to schedule 1 time driving in a year of her starting the process, it didn't even come from their system it came from me complaining to the office manager about my child never being able to drive. I finally decided I had enough and transferred her permit to another driving school. I spent a bit over 400 to waste a year of time and listen to excuses and apologies. Also the hours aren't consistent here is a picture of the sign on the door while other parents and myself were waiting for the school to open past their posted hours. read more

I did my Drivers Ed Course and my Road test through Rhodes Driving School. They are amazing! Everything was done in a timely manner.

This program is a money maker for this organization. Rhodes Sch signed my Son up for his official driving with an instructor. When we arrived, he was told he couldn't drive because he needed to have his permit more than 6 months. And that him scheduling the appointment was going to penalize him. He now has 1 of the 2 free attempts to pass his driving. If he fails his driving, we will have to pay $80. We told the lady, the other Rhoades school was presented the permit and they made the apt. I am not sure if Rhoades is the only driving school. But avoid them if possible. There driving scheduling is difficult and ridiculous. My son said the Rhoades adult driver was paying attention to there phone instead of paying attention to the student driver. No constructive criticism or feedback. ​ read more

Run with your money!! This place is a joke. The girl in front that says she is the manager, is beyond rude. She talks down on the other employees that are there. I've seen her on several occasions talk to other parents like they are stupid for asking questions. Some one in corporate needs to handle her because she is making this place look really bad. She acts like everyone that goes for help is of inconvenience to her, forgetting that she works at a job that is not of stature, and her education matches that. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!! To complete the second portion, to schedule drive times has become a part time job or me. I have to take time out of my day to check on available times. They are not helpful if they answer the phone saying we need to check online daily ! Hourly if needed. I have my daughter checking, her father and myself round the clock for months, We are at the end of her deadline and have 3 classes left to take. BEYOND FRUSTRATING! Don't waste your money with this place if you want your adolescent to learn to drive. There is never any available appointments to schedule drive time with instructors. When you finally make an Appointment they stay in the neighborhood. After spending over 400 on this drivers course, I ended up doing all the hard work on my own. Anyone can study and pass the written test portion of the exam. Unfortunately, I ended up being the one who taught to drive down busy roads and highways. Crystal was great. She was attentive, knowledgeable and very helpful. The male driving instructor assigned to my son FELL ASLEEP on 1 June 2024 while my son was driving with him. This is after two complaints were made against him for making inappropriate comments to my son. This is an OBVIOUSLY FIREABLE OFFENSE. My son reports that his instructor was also playing on his phone while my son was driving. The intent of using the cars with Rhodes driving school is to have a competent adult teaching young people how to drive. What is the point of having an extra set of brakes in the event of an emergency if the driver is asleep or disinterested in ensuring the safety of my son? I have placed a call to the person in charge of Rhodes driving school to discuss this issue. As long as this driving instructor is at the Culebra store, I do not recommend Rhodes driving school if you value the life of your child. read more

I took the 6 hour adult class here and Megan was so helpful! she gave me all the info i needed and walked me through the process for the paper work and taking it to the DMV. i highly recommend despite all the horrible reviews, seems like many of these people are technologically challenged and have kids who aren't motivated to get their licenses. read more

In case anyone is still considering this "school," consider this: We spent $425 for the classroom instruction & 7 driving sessions. After 7 months, we've had 1driving session. Why? Because for the next 6 weeks there were only 3 DAYS of lessons and they were already full. Get a refund and go somewhere else, right? I mean, the 7 sessions are $399 by themselves. We should get over $300 back, right? NOPE. They rigged it so we get less than $25 back. After 8 months and $425 my son still can't get his license, but they sure got their money. read more

Started my daughter at this school after initially seeing great reviews. My daughter went In to a few classes and finished the remainder on Zoom due to a very crowded classroom. The office staff and instructor are very rude and unwilling to answer very many questions. Huge lack of unwillingness to be helpful which is very discouraging for a place that you pay to teach your kids. You hand over money to these people for them to treat you like sh**. If you want to give your teenagers a good learning and driving experience, considering your paying for it, please find another place, I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Omg I'm so frustrated at this company and Megan isn't helpful at all! She doesn't have ANY customer service skills and acts like I'm the ONLY person who despises their scheduling system. She keeps telling me to log on to schedule a drive. When I do- it tells me to call an associate. I call her and she tells me to keep trying to log on. Out of THIRTY ONE attempts to book a driving session- it has worked ONE time. Once! And she said she isn't going to change her whole scheduling app because of me. She literally told me no one else has a problem with it! She says she is the GM but there are no manager skills there at all. It's impossible to get your child in for driving and you have to call and beg for a driving appointment. Their vehicles are unsafe. One car my son drove in, the brakes barley worked and you had to pull up on the brake with your foot to get it to work again. Very disappointed! read more

Well what a representation of this company. Was driving in the area of Palo Alto and 410. A young boy was driving a company car which read Rhodes driving school on windows and doors. As we were on a 2 way stop the kid comes close behind us blocking intersection. As we move up he tries to cut us off as fast traffic past in front of us. We drove off. He catches up driving 60 miles an hour on access road amd passes us up n high speed. I would nit trust this company to teach my child. read more

There standards of when a child starts the school and how long it really takes to complete is not even close. My son started in June and will not finish tel late February. They are under staffed and do not hold to there contract. The best thing would ne be do it your self. They just want your $400 then you will wait tell they have time for you. Bad Bad Bad. My son has taken the class and for 3 1/2 months we have not been able to schedule a drive - I am very unsatisfied with the customer service I have received from a lady named Florinda. I called her today to explain my situation - my son and I have been checking EVERY DAY and still no openings to get his 7 drives in. She kept cutting me off and had a bit of an attitude. Last week I was told to call back this week to get scheduled and now Florinda tells me to call back on Monday. I asked to speak to a manger and was told the manager was not available and she would have them call me back. Then she hung up on me when I was trying to explain that I just need to get him scheduled for his drives. So I called back and let her know that I did not appreciate the fact that she hung up on me and she interrupted me again and said she would have the manager call me - in a very snarky tone - very rude person. So I asked her what number she had because she was trying to get me off the phone pretty quick because she repeated that they have my number so I asked her what number they had and she put me on hold. She came back with no "I am sorry for the hold" or anything like that. She raddled off my cell number and then said "and we have the number you are calling me from - must be a work number". I replied yes and I asked her when does she think somebody would call me and and do I need to call another Rhodes to get him some drive time and she said "I don' have time mam I so I need to let you go" and hung up again. VERY RUDE. I spent good hard earned money to get my son his drive time and I am disgusted that I can do get that to happen and then to have a RUDE employee talk to me the way she was - I could understand it if I was being ugly to her but I was not -and trust and believe she is lucky I was not. read more

I started my driving teen course a year ago, I completed the classes and to this day I'm trying to get a session to drive with an instructor booked. I call and the lady who always answers says I have to be patient and she cannot book me a session. She says " you have to be on the app everyday" like who has time for that and even when I do there is NO spots available so there's no point. This place has driven me to the point where I now drive with a permit alone everywhere I go WHICH IS ILLEGAL. I wish my parents never wasted $400 on this program for me. Fair warning, find a better driving school elsewhere. I paid the "Premier Package" price for my son to take his driver's education here, and although the classroom portion was fine, the driving instructor portion is ridiculous. They are constantly booked, months in advance. The only hours normally open are during school hours. Paying for the "Premium" plan, the school is supposed to email/call when a driver opening is available, but they never have. Yesterday they said they could schedule my son from 3:30-5:30 today. When we got there at 3:25, there was a sign on the door saying "We will be back at 1". Just wanted to let others know that there has to be better schools out there. Rhodes is a simple driving school. Most of the students there are teenagers. The women at the front are nice and do their work very nicely. The area of the place isn't very large, but houses three sections. Driving lessons in the back, hands on driving in the middle and office up front. There is a 11-1pm class, 5-7 class and a 7-9 class. Each class alternates weekly. There is only two women up front so be patient. read more

RUN! This is not a good place of business. I signed my husband up for behind the wheel driving lessons. They wanted $325 for 6 hours. They conned us into thinking he could do all his hours in one week as we wanted to schedule his drivers test soon. After his first appointment, they didn't have any availability for 3-4 weeks for his next 2 hours of behind the wheel. I asked Megan WHY is this when we were promised my husband would be able to complete the driving hours ASAP. She could of cared less I asked for a refund. Megan said she will contact the owner. The owner kept a 'cancellation fee' of $50 for cancelling our contract. We never were presented with any contract. My husband didn't sign anything. When I asked Megan to present a contract my husband had signed, she very very rudely said we didn't have one, but rules still apply and she will contact the owner to recover the rest of the money. He never called. Do not waste your time, money or energy with this company. They are about as bad as you can get. Seeing that the other reviews are the same that says a lot. Spend your money elsewhere as dealing with this lying company will not get you up and driving in a timely manner. read more
