Affordable and friendly staff. Took both my sons here for a DPS Certified Road Test. Would return.

I highly recommend Ayala Driving School. My wife is from Thailand, and had never driven a car when…read moreshe took lessons from Ayala. They were very kind, patient and understanding with her. The best part of the program is instructor Richard Castillo, Mr. Castillo sees his position as an instructor as more than just a job, and he takes a deep personal interest in the success of his students. He thinks about students on his days off, and plans out a path forward to help individual students break through some of the obstacles preventing them from passing the driving test. He went out of his way to work with my wife and she passed her test on the 2nd attempt. If Mr. Castillo can teach my wife how to drive safely, and pass the test, he can teach anyone. He is kind and gentle person who was born to teach driving.

Scheduling Mess I am…read morein it now. I paid in full. To schedule driving everything is full and you literally play bingo. You get a notification of a vacant spot, once you login it's already taken. They don't answer the phone. THE OWNER got snappy with me when I asked for clarification. I'll see about getting a refund and moving my kid to another location. Nothing is explained properly and they direct you to the website. they pretty much take your money and want you to do it all yourself. As far as the instructors, well, I haven't been able to schedule a session so we don't know them yet.

Thankfully we had a good experience. My daughter took the adult classes. She had no driving…read moreexperience and I felt it was too stressful to teach her myself. Her instructor Mr. Guzman was very patient, he put her at ease and made her feel comfortable. A big plus is that she got to take her driving test with the school and was already familiar with the testing route they used in proximity to their office. I would recommend you schedule a appt with DMV to get your learners permit before you take the class. Appointments are 2-3 months out. After you take the in person class, the same day you get your learners permit at DMV, go home and schedule an appointment to get your license right away. That way after driving lessons and test you already have a appointment set up to turn in passing results of driving test and get driving license.

The contract was very detailed on additional…read morecharges I would incur for missed classes, late arrivals, etc. Silly me, I just assumed the in-car lessons would begin immediately following the classroom. After all, for me that was the most important part, having a professional get her comfortable with on the road driving. When she finished classroom, I asked when she would begin in car. TWO MONTHS after finishing classroom was her first opportunity. I was also told she would get ONE 2 hour in car training per month for the next SIX months! The reason: they are busy and have a lot of students. My suggestion is avoid this place for your teen. I should also mention that they are so busy her first 2 hour in car will be only ONE hour. After all, they are busy......
