This marina is on a quiet creek close to Chesapeake Bay. Oriented for motor boats, they have dry and wet storage. It is a very clean marinara considering they work on boat motors. The do very good work but they are very expensive. read more

interesting I got more of a response from Rhode River after posting a review than i did the entire time my boat was there. 1. They, took more than 5 months to fix the fiberglass. The owner replied to my review and said they couldn't help that. In the 5 months they reached out to me 1 time, I reached out to them every two weeks. You see, the thing they didn't mention is our boat was for sale, but no one was looking for it because of the damage. Geez. you cost me five months. 2. They finally fixed the fiberglass. The boat sold in two months of that date. So, since my original contract expired, RR said no problem we are selling your boat doesn't worry. NOPE. They changed me land rental WHILE THEY WERE SELLING THE BOAT. Geez. 3. They sent me a bill for 1200 dollars of repairs. Great, Except I never authorized the repairs. In the entire time, they were selling our boat they reached out to us 3 times. In the nearly 6 months they were repairing our boat, they reached out once. Their communication is horrible. I will never do business with this organization again. I highly recommend you don't do business with them either. read more

The Rhode River team keeps my boat in top condition and keeps me well informed during scheduled maintenance and repairs. They provide mechanical, electrical, AC and other system repairs and installations. Their facility is conveniently located off the Rhode River with plenty of room for parking and boat storage. STAY AWAY! Had a boat repaired there and it came back with the bilge FULL of oil! It was so bad if the bilge pump had come on it would have caused a spill! When I took it back they wanted to charge me for cleaning it out! read more

These guys are top notch! The marina is pristine, one of the cleanest marinas on the bay. Best part of the marina is the service. These guys do an amazing job throughout the whole process by keeping me up to date, transparency on the pricing and answering all my questions in a timely manner. Brian and his sons (Michael and David) take the time to go over every little item with me and take the time to follow up to make sure all items were addressed. I have kept my boat there for 6 years and plan on being there the rest of my boating life. Rhode River Marina is a great location for protection from Bay winds and storms, yet easy access to the bay. We love our slip location with them. We love the fact that it's a family business with staff that is very kind and helpful. They are always closed for gas and they have bad gas . They don't even follow their timing for gas station. Cashier leaves hours before closing time. No one bothers to answer phone calls either. I Got gas from them twice and both time boat started having issues. They have a bad gas which they sell for ridiculous over price. read more

We selected Rhode River Marina to make an extensive list of purchase survey and maintenance repairs after their very accommodating ability to meet a survey date with two surveyors, a dealer/Broker and owner's busy schedules. Their knowledge, opinions, recommendations, and perseverance during the repair process proved to be the right choice for us in coordinating efforts and paperwork between the Broker, Insurance Company, and schedules affected by poor 2013 spring weather and additional workloads put on the Rhode River staff with a concurrent dock enhancement project which could have easily taken away much more time which was dedicate to our boat. We believe that we able to achieve a solid starting point and understanding of the condition of all our Island Pilot's systems due to the efforts of Brian and his staff. If you are looking for a service marina that will treat you on a first name basis, has flexibility to your needs, and is perseverate at overcoming challenges we would very much recommend Rhode River Marina in your list of places to check out. read more

Total rip off. Slips are over-priced and the service department is shady at best. Not only do they over charge for every little thing, but they're not up front with pricing or status of your boat. This place is where the saying "Break Out Another Thousand" originated. Brian, the rather large manager will flat out lie to you. He loves to hear himself talk, especially when he's trying to explain why you boat is still not ready or when they have found something else wrong that they may or may not have caused themselves. It's either a lack of honestly or stupidity. I think both. Steer clear of this place unless you have deep pockets and are not in any hurry to get your boat running. Lord help you if it rains when they are working on your boat, one day of rain pushes you back two weeks. Apparently it always rains on the Rhode river marina. read more

I cannot comment on the marina itself because I've not experienced the actual marina, but I can comment on the gas pier and its prices/service. Avoid this gas pier unless you absolutely must visit because you are on fumes (this was our situation and we had no choice). We visited on September 3rd, 2017 and we realize that gas prices have risen a bit because of Hurricane Harvey, but this gas pier was gouging its customers by charging about 30 cents a gallon higher than anyone else. Furthermore, they give ZERO discount to yacht club members when almost every other gas pier gives 10 cents a gallon off if you belong to a yacht club and you are flying your burgee. Lastly, they charge $15...yes $15...for a pump out even if you buy more than 100 gallons of fuel!! This was a total shocker as EVERY OTHER gas pier on the bay gives a free pump out when you purchase 100 gallons or more. Lastly, the young lady running the gas pier offered no assistance with lines while docking the boat, offered minimal assistance pulling out the fuel lines to reach both tanks, didn't turn on the pump out machine (I had to figure that out) and walked away with her boyfriend after running my credit card (she offered no assistance untying the lines during launch). She did play on her cell phone and crack her gum the entire time we were fueling though. Next time it would have been cheaper to run our boat out of gas and pay the $50 deductible to get towed to a customer-oriented marina. We will NEVER return to this marina! read more

The owner Brian is rude, obnoxious and confrontational. He especially gets angry if you don't use his repair shop which is ridiculously overpriced. You cannot have a conversation with him at all. He has no people skills or ability to compromise or discuss anything. Also I had a new tube stolen from inside my boat while it was on their boatel. Hmmm. Also my boat had a chip on the side of it that somehow happened between visits. When I finally had enough and decided to leave the marina due to the way I was treated he got angry and charged me over $100 just to put the boat on the trailer. He also threatened to charge me if I didn't clean the cement by my boatel spot which was way cleaner than many other spots. Save yourself the headache. There are so many other marinas that treat you like a customer and not a piece of dirt! They are in a terrible location anyway! read more

The owner Brian lacks all customer service skills. Had my Yamaha engine repaired (several thousand $ bill) and randomly, by chance or bad luck my transducer got cracked. Tried to discuss this with Brian who would not accept any responsibility for the $100 broken part. I replaced the broken transducer. This is not about the $100 transducer part, rather, the lack of respect and professional treatment by Brian. No returned calls after multiple discussions. Last phone call was confrontational and he suggested I find another Yamaha repair shop for any future work. Obviously, based on my experience with Brian, I will find a trustworthy customer friendly Yamaha repair shop. read more

I highly recommend this marina for rack storage and/or wet slips. They keep the grounds extremely clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They do not have all of the ammenities of some of the "high-class" places in downtown Annapolis, but I'd trade the tennis courts and swimming pools for the calm surroundings of Rhode River any day. This Very close to fish the areas around Bloody Point and Thomas Point Light. Reasonable run to the bay bridge and points south. Highly recommended! read more
