In July of 2023, we had our separate 1-car and 2-car garage floors finished by Tru Grit. The end…read moreproduct looked fairly good as long as you didn't look too closely. Some repairs after the initial installation were required which gives the floor an uneven look in some places. After the installation, the solvent smell in the 1-car garage never subsided making it impossible to be in that garage for any length of time. The 2-car garage did not have this problem. Tru Grit came back and added another topcoat in an attempt to eliminate the smell but that only helped slightly. After 3 weeks, the 1-car garage still had a fairly strong solvent smell. After 3 or 4 months, the smell did finally go away. The installation crew was sloppy. During the installation they marred the baseboards with their equipment which required touch-up painting in many places. They slopped the base coat on some of the shrubbery and ground cover. They dumped some sort of liquid in the grass in two different places which killed it, and they got some topcoat on the grass in a third place which also killed it. I had the curbing installed around the perimeter of both garages and they didn't do any preparation of those surfaces, covering blobs of left over sheetrock compound and caulk instead of first removing them. I also had them apply the basecoat to the threshold of the front door and they slopped it onto the door trim requiring significant touch-up painting. Tru Grit did offer to take care of correcting these items. Three years later, the floor looks pretty much like it did in the weeks after installation with one exception - The portion of the floor that is outside the garage overhead doors has yellowed quite noticeably. I noticed on their website in the Q&A portion that they don't actually answer the question as to how resistant the coatings are to UV exposure. The coating is still in place, but I am here to tell you, it DOES yellow over time.

The Plumber said that the shower pan was cracked and it was leaking into the walls. My home warranty service called and advised me that it was not covered and to call my home owners insurance. I then called Mike at Florida Plumbing to see how much it would cost to repair without using my home owners. He then advised me about mold and the serious damage that water can cause. Mike advised me to call Josh and Jared at Battle Born Restoration to access the damage. I am now going through my home owner's because the damage was behind the walls, into the walls, and the flooring. Josh and Jared came out immediately and assessed the damage, They showed me things that I didn't even notice or could have imagined behind the shower walls. I was mortified. Josh and Jared seen that I was a hot mess and assured me to trust and have faith in their abilities to correct the damage. They had also referred me to Matt at Hammerheads Construction. I met with Matt yesterday and I am very taken by his demeanor, work ethics and abilities as well. I have been blessed by this crew and their assurance that every little thing will be alright. I have dealt with some very shady characters being a single lady with a home and zero abilities to repair things. I have entrusted the wrong people numerous times before. I have to admit that Battle Born Restoration Services are prompt, courteous, and have epic work ethics. I am completely satisfied with this company!

Best thing about this company is its' commitment to the environment. I am on a well system so was glad to find a company using environmentally sensitive products. Also, I cannot say enough good things about their communication skills with me. Ax came out and explained in detail each step of the process. Furthermore, he kept me up-to-date on when to expect them, what would happen next, etc. There were some minor "over-sprays" around some of my windows and they came and corrected the situation promptly. Exterior painting is not the only service they provide. I will absolutely use them again and have already recommended them to several friends. Finally, I checked the BBB and they are highly rated through that bureau also.

That is my job, and I have seen all the documents and paperwork from multiple local companies. My mom had a water loss in her house recently, and she chose United Water Restoration Group as the mitigation company to service her house. United Water Restoration Group is a vendor for my insurance company, so right off the bat I knew this company was a really good company to work with. We called and they answered right away to dispatch a sub-contracted plumber to fix the leak straight away and we're out on property the very next day assessing the damages. I had a very positive experience with all the representatives that came out to the property, but my most positive and personal experience was with technician Doug L. He was so nice and connected with my entire family on a personal level. He was always transparent and prompt with everything that was on his mind, his thoughts, suggestions, and was very responsive to communication as well which is extremely important in this business. He was very true to his word when he said what the process was going to be like, when he would arrive on property, how the dry out process was going, etc. I can't express how much this means to me and my entire family. Personally, and from a business side working in claims for homeowners insurance, this company was so excellent in the work provided. And honestly, I can say Doug is an honorary member of the family now, that's how great the experience was and has been.
