I messaged her to confirm it about a week before my appointment, she said everything was good to go.... Then she cancelled on me 2 days before the appointment. She said her grandma wasn't doing well, but turns out she has 7 bridesmaids and 3 prom girls scheduled on the same day/time I was scheduled for and she hasn't cancelled on them... so... she overbooked herself and I was the easiest to get rid of. I WISH things would've turned out better. She did offer me an appointment a week later, but at that point I had lost all trust and was so disappointed that I told her it wasn't worth rescheduling.

I was attracted to the seemingly effortless style that each of those brides had (although a lot of work goes into those effortless styles). Luckily for me she was available and able to travel down to the Big Sur area for our big day. I went up for a test a few months before the wedding with her and Sarah (make-up). I couldn't have been more delighted with the outcome. I wanted a low bun- with wisps look. I also had succulents that I wanted put in the side of my hair. Not only did I look and feel amazing, I also hired her and Sarah to do my bridal party's hair - which was no easy feat. From braids to super long hair to super short hair - they had to make it work for all of them. We all received so many compliments from our family and friends. Everyone looked so beautiful and I would highly recommend Melissa and her team to anyone.

Every time I came in, India said hmmm the color is off. Did you do something so different to your hair?? I said no India, you are the one who colored it. So.. if they don't match.. maybe that's where the switch of hair happened and as far as the box goes.. maybe they all come in one shipping box but I was shown my hair in a fancy little hard box all sealed up for me so don't lie to your customers about that! I know you're looking out for your reliability and reputation here but that should also mean you should look into it and your other owner, Kayla is the one who offered me a used box from someone else's hair. Today we took our daughter for her first hair cut and it was perfect. Mona even explained the best way to trim her hair. She made the entire process painless (and even fun!) from beginning to end. I told her I wanted a trim that would bring out my natural wavy texture (which I'm learning to embrace) without making the ends thin (because I want to continue growing and donating it) and she absolutely NAILED IT. Seriously, I washed it the next day and just air dried it without using ANY product in it and my hair was gorgeously wavy and had 10x the volume!! It's like she reprogrammed my tresses! My high school reunion was later that same day, so after chopping and cutting I asked if she could style it for the event... and she nailed that too! Nobody has ever styled my long hair in a way that didn't fall flat within the hour (because of the heavy weight of that much length) but my appointment was at 9:30AM and my hair still looked bomb when I left the reunion at 10PM that night! Even though it had been outdoor and windy!! I honestly can't speak highly enough of Mona and Kids Kutz. Don't let the name fool you because they definitely aren't just for kids. I understand she " runs" a business and her " time is really limited and no one seems to care about that" but for her being a business owner you'd think her priority would be staying in contact with your clients, who are paying her salary to keep her business and herself a float. I understand she's young and is still Learning what professionalism looks like but this is how you loose cliental or future clients. This is a small enough town that word gets around. I have a ton of hair and it's definitely a labor of love and patience to do a full balayage and a cut. She is welcoming, talented and communicates what she is able to do during appointments very clearly. I'm always changing my hair and she's on board for it. She is always doing continued education!
