Rhoda did a fantastic job at a great price. This place is wonderful because it is walk ins only and ya just can get in and out. No appt necessary. The coworker Megan was wonderful too. Very friendly and clean shop and a really great haircut!!! Highly recommend!!! read more

I had been going to this barber shop under the previous owner for years. The new owner strip shaved my hair off because I dared to talk about politics. No warning, just started to use the trimmer to shave my hair off. read more

Walked in on a rainy Saturday for a haircut. Short wait due to one person already under the scissors, then it was my turn for the chair. Angela proceeded to do what so few hairdressers do - and actually cut my hair exactly how I wanted. The decision to drop in was a good one! A great haircut at an exceptionally good price, along with friendly conversation from the lady with the scissors. I've paid ten times more for haircuts that weren't as good done by folks who were ten times less pleasant to deal with. Thank you Angela! VERY highly recommend this establishment read more

My husband and I were looking for a haircut last minute and they were recommended to me via Facebook messenger. They were so sweet and attentive they really listened to what we wanted and kept a great conversation. I appreciate service like this as I am new to the area and will definitely be a returning customer. The vibe is great, very clean and swift with their cuts :) read more

Sonora Deluxe Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Sonora, California

Today was my first visit to Sonora Deluxe Barber Shop and it won't be my last! The shop is small, but comfortable, has a retro look...including the vintage chairs. Angela did a great job on my haircut and neck shave...I highly recommend a visit! Parking can be challenging, but grab a street spot on Washington Street, near Theall Street and the shop is very close. As an FYI, there's also a public bathroom very close to the barber shop. read more

Great with kids, and nice clean cut. We will definitely keep returning for future cuts.

Great haircut good vibes all around amazing women!!! The pricing is affordable and it's close to downtown works for me !!!

Very friendly and kind! My 1 and 5 year old loved it. We already have their next cuts scheduled!

I'd give this shop a zero rating if I could! My husband has went to this shop for over 20 years. Today the owner who bought the shop 4 years ago (usually cuts his hair) pushed him to have a new employee do it. He came home with the worst haircut he's ever had! Almost a Mohawk! He will be 58 tomorrow! Then he said she used an electric razor on his eyebrows without asking his consent! called to complain, but the minute I mentioned his name, she hung up on me. My husband is an easy going guy, but he's visibly upset! He won't be back...EVER!! There were no apologies or offer to correct such an obvious blaring error. She couldn't even get the back neck even (cut lopsided). Just the excuse that my husband has many cowlicks Uh....he only has 2 at the back crown of his head. Nothing no other Barber complained about. There will be no pictures tomorrow on his birthday! I'm livid because of how upset he is! read more

Angela has cut my hair many times in the past. Absolutely wonderful barber who takes the time to make you feel like she's focused on you and you're the top priority. While I live in San Jose now. It wouldn't be out of the question for me to drive back up and get a cut from her. read more

I have been coming to Angela's place for a long time, and she does an amazing job cutting my hair. Angela is super nice. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

Great experience here. Loved the barbers and my barber. Great personality all the way around and fun place. Will be back

Had a great first time experience as a "virgin" getting my first haircut from this place. They give great haircuts and beard trims and all while we can also pound a beer or two if we choose during our grooming session. Rhoda was my barber today and she did wonderful. I feel exquisitely beautifuller now lol. Thank you again and I will see you ladies next time. read more

What should've been a 15 minute haircut, turned into over 40 minutes of her not knowing what the hell she was doing. On top of the ridiculous haircut she tried charging me $55 because basic math of $18 plus $12 is too hard. So I will take my $30 charge and add $20 on top of that because I will have to get another haircut for someone to fix this read more

I move here to sonora about 2 and a half months ago and ive gotten 4 haircuts since I"ve move here. 3 haircuts here at and 1 at supercuts newr the walmart. I"ve love all three haircuts ive gotten here and was so surprised how good they cut hair at such low prices when compared to super cuts. The cut at super cut waa average compared to this place. read more

First, 2 things: - Yelp has this business as two separate listings: Deluxe Barber Shop & Sonora Deluxe Barber Shop. Both listings have the same address and phone number. - The location on the map of Yelp is wrong. It's on Theall but only a block off of S. Washington, not 3-4 blocks like Yelp shows. Now to the review... Been coming here for 10 years, 4-5 times a year. A guy named Greg used to run it, his father before him. A cheap, no nonsense place to get your hair cut. It was awesome. Greg moved a couple months ago and it appears a mom and her daughter are running it now. Its terrible. I waited 20 minutes while both Mom and Daughter cut hair. That's perfectly OK. After mom finished with her customer she decided it was time to go home. Still to this point, no one has said a word to me, I am just sitting in the chair as I wait, like I always have when Greg was running the joint. So....ok, I guess I'll wait for the daughter. 5 minutes later, daughter finishes her customer, who pays and leaves. I now wait as mom and daughter talk, the son is there and they are messing around, looking for something, chatting it up. 5 full minutes pass with no one else in the shop, no one has ever said a word to me, and I am just waiting for.....? I walked out, so I have no clue how well they cut hair. Any rate, they are more worried about themselves and talking than they are about being a barber shop. Or at least the type of barber shop they bought from Greg. Won't go back, after sitting there and listening for about 30 minutes, way too tweaker for me. Guess I am finding a new place. Makes me sad. read more

My husband has been going to Greg since we moved to Sonora 13 years ago. He won't go to any other barber, sometimes he'll go weeks without a haircut if Greg is not at the shop on Saturday! He loves how Greg does the zero blade with the fade! Greg please done retire anytime soon...... read more

I have been going here for about a year now and whenever I am in Sonora I stop here to get a hair cut. Staff is very friendly and it's right next door to the Saturday farmers market. read more

My son received the best haircut here! The barber even was able to work with his cowlick. We went back and will continue to go back. The barber was friendly and the shop is clean! My only suggestion is if you are able, please, post your hours online. Thanks! read more

You know how you are looking for that stylist that can look at your face and upgrade your hair cut to what fits you the best? Angela did that for my husband yesterday! Thank you! He left feeling like a million bucks and I was super impressed! Great little shop on the corner, very friendly and welcoming. read more

Angela fteitas does great work and in general the shop is great. Highly recommended.

Came in on a Saturday with a strike team full of firefighters. We all left satisfied. Nice work.

the worst haircut ever - she cut my hair so short that my husband who is bald has more hair than I do - scissors were very dull, grabing my hair. i guess i got what i paid for. read more
