I was diagnosed with COPD this past week, and sent home from the hospital after a week with one of this company's oxygen concentrators. In the hospital, hospital staff gave us no training on the machinem so we were flying blind. When we tried to set it up at home, it was not working. It was turning on, but not blowing anything out. I called Rhema, and twenty minutes later their local(ish) tech, Cal, was on the phone to me helping my husband troubleshoot. It was determined the machine was broken. Cal came out at 1030 on a wet and really foggy night from 2 hours away to bring me a new one that works like a charm. The hospital also did not tell us how to fill the small portable auxiliary tank, so Cal will be calling me again tomorrow to assist my husband in learning to do that so that I can get to my doctor appointments. I cannot say enough good things about Cal, but the company really needs to hire people for its after hours answer service who actually speak and comprehend English. This dude from Bangalore who answers totally mangles the messages I am trying to send, and that could risk my health. read more

I was informed that NO REFUNDS are given for an APAP/CPAP machine if you purchase it. I contacted them after being referred by my cardiologist. So make sure not to purchase any Rotech Healthcare products. Only then can you get a refund on any inadequate or deficient products. read more

Worst experience ever! If possible, stay away from this company. I traveled to Denton with my elderly mother who is in need of an oxigen concentrator. They treated us so poorly! They did not deliver the machine to the hotel and I had to rent a car to go get it. Then, they wanted me to change my flight back to my home city and to pay an extra day of hotel so that I could return the concentrator on Monday because they don't open Saturdays, which they did not tell me a month ago when I made arrangements. They gave us incomplete equipment and we ended up at the ER at near by hospital to get the missing swivel needed for the machine because they were not available. They really are the worst! read more

Their call center is absolutely horrible and in nearly every situation, the folks have been rude, unhelpful and the wait times are horrendous. I am finding it impossible to make a payment. I can't register because I don't have the correct internet. I called, sat on hold forever, then was answered by the wrong department. This person sent my call to the payment dept. where I sat on hold forever again before the phone was answered by the insurance dept. I have used Rhema for several years as both a healthcare provider and a patient. As a patient I found Rhema to lack good customer service skills. I scheduled an appointment for the same time they open. I arrived early, so I sat in my car. a few minutes before the appointment, I got out of my car and stood in front of the day and waited for them to open. The door was unlocked and I was first to the counter. I told them I had an appointment, gave them my name, and was asked to take a seat. Several customers were helped including two who were taken to the back. Two were helped and left the office. As I waited for 20 minutes, not a single person looked up at me nor made an attempt to let me know when I would be seen. I finally asked when I might be seen because I have another appointment to attend in 40 minute. It was almost as if the place went silent. After an awkward moment of silence, one lady said it would be soon, and that was it. I was finally seen and the tech apologized to me for the delay. As a healthcare provider and prescriber for durable medical equipment and supplies, I cannot tell you enough it's been very frustrating getting the care my patients need. I will complete the paperwork and have the front desk staff fax it to the listed fax number Rhema provided. Weeks later the patient will call and say Rhema stated they never received the paperwork back. We check the system, it indicated the fax was transmitted and receive. I completed the paperwork a second time. I have the front desk staff call and speak to the staff at Rhema to make sure they understand I have completed the paperwork a second time. Wash, rinse, and repeat. This happened several times. After several phone calls they say they have everything they need. A month later, the same forms arrive and need completed again. I thought maybe because it's a new year and a new start of service. I complete the paperwork and send it in. One thing I noticed immediately, the fax cover sheet said to complete, sign, and send back to a certain fax number. However, on the next page there is another fax number that's different, requesting the paperwork be sent there. I made sure the front desk staff checked with the Rhema office to ascertain which was the correct fax number before sending the paperwork in. Another aside from me as a patient, when I had my sleep medicine provider over me new supplies, she remarked, "Oh, I see your using Rhema. Are you happy with them?" I said "no. Not as a prescriber nor as a patient." She recommended another DME provider for me to use. I've reached the point where I am ready to do the same for my patient. read more

Do not order supplies over the phone because you will not get them and after several more calls they send the wrong supplies I have never gotten what I order on the the first or even second try its just not possible. Less then 1 star. This is a rip off, find someone else. My complaint is for a CPAC mask that was the incorrect one that they sent, but since I did Not open the package and return it within 3 days I have to pay $110 for a new mask in the package that is the wrong one. Calling this number is worthless, You just get told the policy is to return in 3 days. IF it was the correct mask I would not need to worry about such a policy. So their mistake makes them a profit. Avoid this place if you have any other alternatives. My Dr. referred me to them and said, "If they don't contact you in a week, call them." A week came and went so I gave them a call. I was the 5th caller in line and waited for 30 minutes to be connected. The rep I spoke to said they had no paperwork from the doctor's office, and I should call them. I called the doctor's office and left a voicemail. I called again the next day and left a 2nd voice mail. Drs. office returned my call on the 3rd day and said, "the paperwork that was sent over must not have made it," and they would send it again. Paperwork was resent and Drs. office confirmed it was received. A week later I get a call from Rehma Medical Center to set up an appointment. Service rep said they would send me an email with location, date & time. Email was never received. On day of appointment, I drove to the location I had looked up on-line. Office clerk asked for my name and reason for visit. I told her I had an appointment. She said their scheduler didn't show I had an appointment. She asked for my SS# and was able to pull up my account. Remarks on account indicated I spoke to a service rep earlier and it showed I was scheduled for that exact day and time. Evidently the Service rep didn't enter my information in the scheduler and the Dr was booked solid all day. So, the desk clerk scheduled me for another appointment 3 weeks out. I'm thankful this wasn't any type of emergency. I'd be DEAD! read more

My mother is on oxygen and we are running low on tanks. As this will be her first replenishment we are unsure if they will automatically deliver a replenishment or if we need to contact them to say we require it. Our scheduled date is next Tuesday (date they gave us after first delivery) and we have tried to contact them many times and there is NEVER an answer but asked to leave message. Messages have been left with NO call back. My mom is 84 years old and new to the oxygen need. She is worried she will not have sufficient tanks to be able to leave the house and stay active. The absolute snake pit of medical equipment supply companies. My doctor ordered a wound vac for one week post surgery. They ordered a full month supply of accessories AFTER I was finished with the vac. I was on hold for over one and one half hours and then they were rude. Picked up eventually on 9/22 and then today, a rep came by unannounced to pick up the vac that has been gone for a month. Stay AWAY!! read more

Sometimes good, sometimes bad. At times I get prompt response and appropriate help, and at other times I don't. Most recently my APAP machine developed a whine. They confirmed the whine and set me up with a refurbished machine quickly. That far things were just fine. However, the settings on the "new" machine are wrong, although the respiratory therapist said she was checking to be sure the settings were the same. Otherwise I just exchanged one constant problem for several intermittent ones. When I telephone, someone may answer. I have never left a message requesting a callback, and from other reviews, it's a good thing I didn't. Calling again in a few minutes often (not always) gets an answer. The girls on the phone have always been polite, though I find that what they tell me and what Sleep Central (the actual supplier) tells me are usually different. The actual supplier is invariably the one with the right answer. It would be nice if they agreed. read more

We have been clients since 2019 and the first flag occurred during the ice storm when we informed that if we could get to them we could get supplies. That was almost forgivable. But the customer service phone contact is absolutely atrocious!!! I have requested oxygen nasal cannula and a filter for my concentrator ( because since 2019 they have been out to me once) at least a-month and still not received them in the mail! I have spent hours on their phone line only to be told that there is no record of my previous request at least twice . So we ordered cannula's from Amazon. ( no filter). I can only imagine what happens to poor debilitated customers!! But the issue is that this quality of service is the same across the board for these o2 providers therefore they don't have to be good and care for there clients because they are all poor and are happy with being the best of the bad! Well it is not except able! And I will be submitting a formal complaint to my private insurance carrier and Medicaid because lives are at stake when oxygen is essential for life! read more

They never have ANYTHING in order, I have been waiting almost 7 months for a portable oxygen device and there is always an excuse as to why I do not have it. I need O2 almost 24/7 and they did give me the little tanks, however, to go on vacation I would need at least 2 crates of them. Now come on. My dr. has sent at least 4 different orders over they say they needed and they apparently misplaced several. It was always, OH WE HAVE TO SEND THEM TO MEDICARE, OR We r waiting for them to respond or, waiting for our corporate office to respond. I have NEVER heard this many excuses. I called Medicare and they said they had already approved them. That was months ago. Now they seem lost again. How does Medicare even deal with them and why has the company not been reported to BBB or someone to deal with this incompetence? This is very serious. Please believe all the 1-star reviews. It would be lower if I could give it. Waiting to talk to someone is also a joke. U wait forever. They send you home from the hospital with equipment you cannot even use. They sent an 88 year old man who walks with a walker an oxygen tank that you pull behind on wheels heavier then the walker. It's impossible! You ask for a potable oxygen and they give you a lame excuse there is a shortage however the truck shows up with supplies and they have them on the truck but they won't give them to you. Watch out for double billing. They billed my insurance company and myself three months in a row. Same amount. I paid the first one and so did my insurance. Have never received a refund. Except for a short period of time a couple of years ago, I have been a customer of Rhema for about 13 years. I have to say that Rhema is a collection of arrogant people, with no concern for customers, and who seem to feel they are doing me a favor by selling me their products. If it were not for the fact that my doctor does business with them, I would never, ever do business with these unprofessional people. Last year I ordered supplies from Sleep Central and they told me my prescription was expired. They said they would contact Rhema and it should be no big deal. It took a month and numerous phone calls to finally get them to act. Currently I need a new CPAP machine. My doctor's office ordered it 2 weeks ago. I called Rhema today and they said they can't find the order and to call them back at the end of the week. It's already been 2 weeks! If I could give them a negative number of stars I would! Believe every poor review you see for this company. Seriously. I left the hospital in September 2021 with a concentrator and O2 tank due to Covid complications. Spent HOURS AND HOURS on hold over 3 weeks in October and November trying to get the items picked up. Each time (3 alleged pickups scheduled), noone showed as promised. Took the day off 12/1 to travel to Rhema and return the equipment in person. Then came more invoices, as they never recorded the equipment having been returned. 3/28 - another day spent in the Denton office getting proof of return and a promise things were taken care of. Nope...then came a letter threatening to charge me nearly $3000 for the equipment "because it was never returned". More hours on hold to get another promise it was taken care of in their system. We'll see. Most unorganized, unapologetic organization I've ever worked with. There needs to be rating less than 1-star for this one. read more

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I brought my disabled sister from out of state in August. She was running out of oxygen, went to ER where they helped her see a pulmonary doctor and set her up with Rhema for delivery. They came quickly to my place to deliver tanks which was good. Now she has moved into a senior apartment in another county, was given a different company to service her oxygen needs by clinic in new city. Called Rhema to explain she would not longer need services, etc and to please come get their equipment. She keeps getting put on hold for 15/20 min. then told to hold for another 15/20 min. Twice when she finally got someone and tried to explain they told her she could not change companies like that and won't cancel the orders (so they keep charging Medicaid). Twice they also hung up on her midsentence. So finally she is contacting Medicaid to stop them from charging . Three different people have been very rude and two hung up on her.
