White truffle risotto with added salmon
    Ashley B.

We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation and was seated right away. The wait staff were very helpful, professional, and personable. I ordered the white truffle risotto with salmon and my husband ordered the scallops. Both the salmon and scallops were cooked PERFECTLY! Really impressed! The bill at the end was a nice surprise as we're used to paying a lot more for such quality food. Nelsonville has a good one here and I hope it continues to serve the community for a long time!

Steak and eggs on a Sunday!

I had the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked as requested! The herb butter maintained flavor on every bite of the steak! The eggs were cooked as requested. The house potatoes were freshly fried - not frozen. Pleasantly suprised!! The bar area and the seating area are very quaint. Will definitely visit again!!

While in Ohio hiking the gorgeous hocking hills area, my husband surprised me with a reservation to this unique restaurant for my birthday dinner. To start here's what's unique directly from their website: "When you have a meal at Rhapsody, you not only get to enjoy our cutting-edge American Cuisine featuring seasonal offerings in a relaxed atmosphere, you give our students an education. Under the watchful eye of professional chefs and managers, students from Hocking College's Culinary Arts, Baking, and Hospitality and Events Management programs use the restaurant to hone the skills they'll need in their professional careers." HOW COOL IS THAT?! Service was great, atmosphere was upscale and the menu was eclectic. Flavors on our meals really shined and presentation was great! Great selection of wine, cocktails, full bar and local craft beers. We got calamari which is our very favorite appetizer to try literally everywhere. I chose to get an Asian fusion dish which I enjoyed. Bang bang shrimp is a favorite of mine and this was with chicken. Husband got a blue cheese crusted steak with fries. So great.

    Pasta with meatballs

We stopped her after a day on lake logan. We called and they told us to come at 8:15 and we showed up about 30 minutes early and there were probably 6 tables open so they took us early which was much appreciated! We ordered calamari and dinner bread for appetizers. Calamari was good, the dinner bread was good but the cinnamon butter was more like Crisco, no butter or cinnamon flavor at all! Several of us at the table got the pasta and meatballs and it came out nice and hot and the meatballs were huge! We all ordered dessert and the lava cake had a fake sweetener taste to it. All and all food and service was good! Just skip the cinnamon butter rolls

Crab cakes--good deal of crab and nice spicy sauce.

Last day of vacation--recommended by other guests at our B&B. My wife had the shrimp and crab over yellow rice--QUITE flavorful. I had salt & vinegar chip encrusted walleye over summer squash, fingerling potatoes, and asparagus. Food came out hot and nicely presented. Almost forgot the crabcakes-- my wife is a little particular about those. "Best she's had since Lukec, Maine."

Stopped in late after a great day visiting our daughter at OU. We decided to split the Slab salad. Their take on a wedge salad. Loved the blue cheese dressing and the crispy onion bits. My wife had pasta and meatballs and I ordered the bang bang chicken (panko crusted chicken) in a sweet and spicy sauce over a bed of fried rice. Our entrees came out piping hot. As we waited for our food we listened to live music. Service was great. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Great atmosphere. Unique cocktails and great food. Love the fact that we were helping students learn. Had fish and chips which were solid.

    Star bricks lining the sidewalks

While on a Hocking Hills getaway weekend with my wife, we decided to give this place a go, in the (somewhat) rundown little town of Nelsonville right on their main square. The town was once home to the famous Star Brick company, and the square's street are lined with them (see my attached picture). The interior is very modern and chic, and a woman playing guitar and singing in the back was a lovely touch to the evening. This restaurant is a culinary institute for chefs and servers in-training. I started my meal with the summer vegetable Minestrone soup... it lacked an overall depth of flavor and was more broth-like than tomato-based but it was fresh and satisfying. For the main meal I ordered one of their signature dishes the Bricktown chicken under a brick. It was served with sauteed spinach and pommes frites (the chicken had a great sauce on it that also paired well with the bitterness of the greens). My wife's special (mushroom and cheese ravioli's) were tasty and filling with a nice cream sauce on top. An unexpected find for the area...I hope it continues to do well and draw people in.

The food is always good as is the service. It's the nicest place in town to eat or have a couple drinks.

Olde Dutch Restaurant in Logan -- so many people hyped this place up that we had to check it out…read more It's buffet style with all-you-can-eat salad bar, soups, hot dishes, and pies. Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).
