Well, we are officially in love with our new floors. Can't say enough good things about Jason, his crew, and the new engineered hardwood floors they installed in our condo. Jason was incredibly patient with us throughout the entire process, allowing us to take multiple samples home and provide us with great advice and pricing options. Jason is also a pro at navigating HOA requirements in condo buildings, which was a MASSIVE weight off our shoulders. He handled the architectural application, coordinating with building management, providing samples, and everything else. Doing work like this in a condo can be a headache, and Jason made it easy. The quality of the flooring and installation speaks for itself. In addition to being a high quality product, the crew did an amazing job on all the little details. They also didn't hesitate to come back to correct a minor defect in one of the planks, which was very appreciated. Overall we cannot recommend RH enough. Was recommended to RH Flooring by a friend, and am glad that we went with them for demo of our old Saltillo tile floor (surprisingly, it was hard for me to find a company who would do this as I was ghosted a lot in my search for bids) and installation of engineered hardwood. Jason was very responsive, helpful, and detail oriented! After the job was initially done, Jason did a final walkthrough with me and saw a few areas that needed minor fixes. Buyer beware. Contractor does not stand behind their work. The finish on the wood flooring they installed in my condo started failing within two months of installation. They inspected the issue with their supplier (SLCC) and initially said they would handle it under warranty, then their supplier's inspector turned around and rejected the claim. The delamination continued over time and looked like absolute trash. RH offered to help the situation by discounting the cost to replace the brand new floors, which was still more than it cost to bring in a different reputable flooring contractor to replace the shoddy product they had installed. read more

Also, my building in downtown San Diego has strict rules for vendors (insurance, how they enter/exit, use the elevator, etc) and some complain. This is actually the second time we have used RH Flooring. The first time was in 2013 to install engineered wood flooring we purchased online and had shipped to our home for our great room, office and media room on the first floor. We were very impressed with the way the flooring was installed and the attention to detail. We had an issue with one of the threshold pieces in a doorway and they came back and fixed it the next week. The install still looks great today. Recently, we had them install more wood flooring we bought from a local dealer in a new room on the second floor, hallway and full staircase. I was happy to find their pricing to be reasonable like the first time. I spoke with Jason and was able to get a quote for the entire project with different options as we were not sure we could afford to do the staircase at this time. The master installer Gama was fantastic. He did a great job distributing the planks by size and color throughout the install. He had a good crew working with him and they got the job done in two days. I would not hesitate to recommend them for flooring installations. read more

Five stars for Errol and Oscar, this was definitely a job well done and we're so happy with our flooring! Errol, Oscar and his crew have done work for my better half at his workplace, and we chose the same tile/grout combo for our home because it was so beautiful. Errol was super responsive via text and email, and made the quote/install scheduling process very convenient. We replaced 1k sq ft in laminate with tile, and couldn't be happier with the results. Oscar and his team arrived to start the demo/install exactly on time (actually, 15 mins early), and worked their butts off to make our house look gorgeous. They even came in on a Saturday, and worked in the pouring rain, to get our job done quickly. These guys are artists; the tile cuts they made to accommodate some odd angles are insane, and literally every single piece of tile was leveled and squared. The new base boards and door casings add another dimension to the final product, and look gorgeous. Oscar's crew was super friendly, and very funny! Having your whole house torn apart for tile work is crazy stressful and inconvenient - and they were just so sweet and accommodating through the whole process. They definitely gave us great confidence in their work, and went the extra mile to make our home beautiful. It felt like I had family working on my home, and that definitely made the process easier. Finally, the results are just gorgeous - I love how beautiful our home looks thanks to Errol, Oscar and the crew. We had the pleasure of working with RH Flooring during our remodel project. Our contractor brought Jason and his team (Gama and Tony) into our project as the flooring sub and we could not have been more satisfied with their work. Jason was always quick to respond to communication and visited our job site on several occasions to check on the crew. RH removed our existing glued down hardwood floors which was an absolute mess, however they cleaned up daily. They were extremely respectful in our home and took thought and care to all the work they did. Let me get this out from the beginning. JUAN is a consummate professional and is a joy to work with. You can truly tell he is passionate about his work and brings a level of craftsmanship that only comes from someone who loves what he does. From my first conversation with him I could tell this is what he enjoyed doing. He was very easy to communicate with and would always take to time to explain the reasons behind his work. He and his partner Mike showed up on time each day and worked until the day's job was done; rain or shine. And there was definitely rain. They started the job before Thanksgiving and were even willing to work Thanksgiving day but I encouraged them to take the day off. They completed the job the day after Thanksgiving and I couldn't be more happier with the flooring and how it came out. Worst experience, we hired Ransom Hardwood Flooring to replace three discolored wooden planks, in the process they damaged our floor and had to restain the entire floor. When I spoke to Jason the manager about the amount I was quoted by Carlos his employee, he yelled at me over the phone and said he had to think about fixing the mistake his own workers made on my floor. Carlos the "experienced installer" who quoted the work and said that he would personally oversee the sanding down of our floors, never showed up again and sent young inexperienced guys to sand my floor who left black round scratches throughout the floor and gaps between the wooden planks. When I reached out to Carlos he told me he would come fill the gaps and take a loot at all the scratches left by the machine, after four months of texting him, he never showed up or answered my calls or text messages again. When I finally got a hold of Ari and explained everything that is wrong with the work they did on our floor, she assured me she would be my point of contact moving forward. We set an appointment for her to come in and see it for herself but she never showed up. Instead we got a new person named Phill come and take pictures of the damage and told us we would hear back from Ari the next day, I never heard from her and she did not answer any of my calls. After a week of leaving messages I had to reach out to Jason, who again was completely unprofessional, made it clear he does not care about our floor or business and refused to transfer me to Ari or anyone else in the company. This company should not be allowed to be in business, there is no accountability, WORST contractors do not trust them in your home!!! They took our money and quit the job!!! read more

Such a nightmare to deal with. I booked months in advance as the date had to coincide with other tradesmen and moving. On the agreed date they cancelled due to an emergency, which I was understanding about. It took 3 hours of texts and emails (they never answer the phone) to arrange for one week later. No one showed up on the date they had told me by email. Again, hours of trying to reach them and was told that I was scheduled for the next day, even though their email to me said different. Next day appeared, workmen were professional and friendly. Next day a different person, also good. After half a day he left, all floors were in a state of mid-repair, 4 rooms and hallway unusable until the sanding and varnishing was complete. Next day no one showed up to finish the job. More hassle trying to contact them because again, no answering of their phone. Finally I was told that I was scheduled for the following week for sanding and varnishing. No RH staff had ever contacted me to tell me I would be waiting a further week. They were quick to ask for payment of works done thus far though, which I paid promptly. When Jason finally phoned me I conveyed my concern that they would ever return at all. Lots of excuses but no plausible reason given why my original arranged date wasn't adhered to and why the job was now taking several weeks to finish. The following week the work was done over the course of 2 1/2 days. The floors look nice but not worth the stress of dealing with RH Flooring. They need to sort out their scheduling, communication and customer service. I don't like leaving a negative review but I want to prevent others from going through a similar stressful experience. There are lots of other flooring companies to choose from. read more

Out of all the contractors I've used on my house these guys are by far the BEST. They are punctual, polite and super efficient. His estimate was very competitive and he was going to save me a good chunk of money on materials as well. I recently finished what ended up being a complete remodel and am so glad I came across RH Flooring. I had numerous contractors give bids for tiling our bathroom floors and showers and RH was one of only a few that had reasonable pricing. They were patient with me from start to finish, whether I was trying to make a decision about grout colors or I didn't have the right tile for them to finish the job right away. They simply waited to come back and finish the job a few days later. The lead installer, Francisco, was awesome and pleasant to have around our house for the several days he worked on the job. When they ran into plumbing issues they took care of them for a minimal charge. The finished bathrooms look amazing and are probably my favorite rooms in the house. After the great job they did on our tile work, I also had them install our bamboo floors. They were able to finish the job in just one day and the floors look great. They did my hardwood flooring last year. The price was good. For reference, I believe it was between 400 to 500 square feet and also stairs and molding. The total project cost (labor and materials) was around 5 grand. End product was good. Only complaint would be that there were 2 minor holes left in the walls when the old molding was taken off but nothing I couldn't repair myself. Bonus points for the owner who dealt with my numerous phone calls in the beginning (I had a lot of questions). He was very patient.
