Wish i could give 10 stars. Yesterday was my first time at RGE. I was greeted by the owner RGE. She was so gracious and so welcoming. Showed me around her salon. Invited me to have a beverage or a snack. Made me feel right at home since it was my 1st time out of my house since the pandemic. I had a 12:00 appt with Karyn. She promptly came to the cafe area and greeted me. I had not had my hair colored or cut in a year. I looked like a gray haired old hag. I told Karyn, do what you want. She did, and WOW, what a job. Not expensive at all for what she did. She was totally amazing. Her suite is private. I was comfortable. I have ptsd and felt relaxed. She colored my hair, highlighted my hair, cut my hair and was so kind to me. Professional, immaculate suite, caring, and she knows her stuff. I will be returning. read more

Lea was my stylist and I absolutely recommend her. I have thick course hair with some wave to it. Most stylists claim to be excellent at this type of hair but end up chopping it up in ways that take forever to grow back. She did a color and cut and I am very pleased with the results. She is also a very pleasant person to talk! The price was a little steeper than other salons, but it was worth it! read more

Krystal did my hair and make up for our wedding yesterday and it was perfect. She's extremely talented and really listens to her clients. The salon itself is adorable and has a cafe and a clothing boutique. And there is a large parking lot. I highly recommend Krystal and will definitely book with her again when another event happens. read more

Susan Sprague did a really great job on a cut, color and highlights for me. She was really friendly and listened to my requests while also offering her advice. She worked hard, was very attentive to detail as you totally want your hairdresser to be, and also didn't make me feel pressured to buy products or even come back to see her again, which I definitely will! The owner made passive aggressive comments to me during my service, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. She is extremely unprofessional. Pedicure was mediocre, at best. The entire place is cluttered, dusty and chaotic. The entrance door literally stated "no crybabies" and I thought it was a joke but it certainly wasn't. My daughter & I were forced to watch a random women try on different clothes during our services since we were in the same room. read more

My esthetician just moved into this beautiful space and as a welcome offer gave me a complimentary mani/pedi. I went and got mine done by Nicole V yesterday. She did a wonderful job of making my nails look amazing. Let me just say they really needed some work. This was my first professional mani/pedi in at least a year. I was there for about one and a half hours and she did the most wonderful foot massage. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. My feet feel softer then they have in a long time and my hands withstood a heavy work load today. I can't stop looking at my nails! Will definitely return. Be mindful that you want to know who you're going to see before you go. Calling the number on the website wasn't the best option. I started talking with a hairdresser named Karlene, she was very sweet and gave me some ideas for my hair .She had some time so I let her color , cut , and highlight my hair .I love the color and the cut. I researched for a nail salon with good reviews since I am new to area. Called but was told on answering machine best to text for an appt.,which I did. Roseann responded by text appt. for next week and I confirmed. Another text asking how I found the salon. I responded internet. Another text from Roseann asking if it was their web site. I had out of town guests and did not respond. Another text asking if I had Groupon. Then today I received text needing information "otherwise I have to pass appt. on. REALLY? For Mother's Day this year my husband purchased a Groupon for both my mom and myself at RGE Salon with Karyn.  I called Karyn on May 12th to make an appointment and she scheduled us for June 1st. I told her over the phone that my mom and I both had black hair we would need an all over color and a trim. On the day of our appointment when we arrived she told me that she didn't keep black hair color on hand because people don't actually have black hair. I said well I did tell you over the phone that we have black here as you can see our hair is black.  She said well most people think they have black hair but they don't so all I have is dark brown. I told her I do not want dark brown hair neither does my mom. Her response was well this is a Groupon.  At this time my mom asked​ her so do we not get the same service because it's a Groupon? She said no you do let me go see what I can find. She came back into the room with what I assume was blank hair dye.  I asked my mom if she wanted to go first as Karyn preceded to say to me I'm sorry you have such an attitude. I don't know where she thought my attitude was coming from.  When I told her I did not want my hair brown that I wanted a black she became very defensive telling me that most people don't know the difference between the black and the brown. She continued to speak to myself and my mom in a condescending manner, she told us to call Groupon and get our money back if we didn't like it but I told her I don't want my money back I really want to get my hair done, she eventually told us to leave. This is the service that we have already paid for and she's making us leave because she wasn't prepared and didn't like the fact that I objected to brown hair.  To say that I had an attitude with her is ridiculous this woman was about to cut my hair the last thing that I'm going to do is give her an attitude.  My husband has been back and forth with Groupon trying to get a refund. Groupon forwarded the email that Karyn sent them to my husband. In the email, Karyn requested that they do not post my negative review. Seriously? How do I know that she hasn't gotten negative reviews in the past that just were not posted? I feel it is my duty to let the consumer know what a terrible experience this was and hope that no one has to go through what my mom and I had to deal with from this awful woman.  Not only were my mom and I unable to get our hair done but we have not been refunded the money that we spent on the Groupon and Karyn completely ruined our experience as a Mother's Day gift from my husband. read more

This was absolutely awful. My friend and I went to get our nails done with Roseanne. It was completely rushed. My friend got acrylics and they came out clunky, uneven, and the whole nail wasn't polished. As for me I got gel. I showed her a picture of the nails I wanted which was an ombré of purple (different shade of purple on each nail) didn't even roughly come out as close. Looks like a 10 year old put a different color on each nail. I got gel yet it's chipping, and the paint was all over my cuticles and skin. On the website it says 25$ for gel yet she charged me 40 $ and my friend 65 $ it's absolutely ridiculous. We go and ask for a refund and she does not allow. I am very unhappy with Roseanne I do not recommend this place read more

Couldn't disagree more with previous review about Roseanne. I called because I was lost the first time as well and I was able to find the salon less than a few minutes after speaking with her. She is extremely professional and takes her time with each client, you never feel rushed when you have an appointment (which is not like most nail salons). My experience was an ok experience here with Rosanne. But I came in to the salon expecting to pay only $55 for tips, acrylic overlay, and gel polish because that is what the website had said. I ended up paying $65. Now I went with paying $65 because I was expecting beautifully polished acrylic nails. Rosanne was very kind but lacked professionalism. My friend got gel polished nails, she showed Rosanne the picture of what she wanted exactly. But there was still a lack of communication with Rosanne because she ended up doing something other than the picture. We felt she was rushing to finish our nails because it was about 5:40 pm when we started and 8:00 pm when we finished. I was tired so i went home not knowing how bad my friends nails and my nails looked. I called for Rosanne and she texted, which i found it unprofessional to TEXT clients. There can always be miscommunication and misunderstandings in text messages, but she was quite rude when I had to TEXT her to ask for a refund. I did get my refund but I did not find any professionalism with Rosanne. I also found that she would rather rush than do a quality job. read more

Moved back to RI after 10 years away. Was really worried about finding a great hairdresser. My girl in CT was fabulous. I would have traveled back but I really wanted to find a fab colorist here in RI. Let's face it ladies, it's a little easier to find someone that gives a good haircut than it is to find a master colorist. I'm a blonde who needs root work, toning and foils with bleach to get the color, depth and contrast that I love. I'm very picky with my color. Enter, Maria Ciccone master of color. Worst experience ever! The nail spa at RGE has no customer courtesy or professionalism. Roseanne who I booked an apt with was extremely unprofessional. I called her for directions since my uber driver was not able to find the place. We followed those directions but still the place was no where in sight so i called her again seeking help and to my surprise she disconnected and after 10 mins calls me back to say that my apt is cancelled since I am late. I tried reasoning with her that i had called her well in advance for directions but she did not seem to care. Apparently she feels that one must do a dry run to the salon a day before to figure out where it is because when u have an apt that is not the day to trouble her with questions on directions. On telling her that i will post a bad review she extremely arrogantly told me to go ahead as she has 700 good reviews too. Being from the service Sector myself i feel that each and every customer is imp. I spent 40$ On uber going back and forth ( more than my groupon amount) and was not even given a service. I had an appointment with Lea on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 12:15. I had "high" expectations but instead was grossly disappointed. Allow me to summarize my experience. I showed Lea 2 photos of hair styles that I wanted. I specifically said, "no bangs, no layers, just texturize the bottom." My hair was bleach blonde and dead at the ends. She suggested we do some low lights in addition to the highlights. I concurred. In the course of our conversation, I mentioned my experience with a prior hairdresser. I "glowed in the dark" with brass after my highlights. DUH...any hairdresser at this stage would realize how important it is to add toner to blondes. This was not done at RGE. My prior hairdresser added toner a few days later to no avail. It just doesn't correct the situation. When I got home my significant other noticed how "chopped" the right side of my head was compared to the left. It is layered in all different, flyaway lengths. A disgrace! My coworker asked if I went to Supercuts. One remarked, "was she blind?" Needless to say I voiced my discontent in a text to Lea. She stated she could add toner - nbd. Well, it is to me! Then she said it wasn't her intention for me not to like the cut, and that she barely put layers in my hair at all - just brought up the length. I don't care what her "intention" was....the fact remains that it is a mess, and I want restitution. Photos don't lie! This is the worst chop job ever! I asked for 1/2 my money back because the only person who can precisely correct this mess is a master by the name of Giacomo in Boston. He charges $100.00 per haircut but people will stop you in the street asking, "who cut your hair?" I never received a response from Lea. This is a person of very little integrity.
