Lori is the absolute best. Hair cut and color are always exactly what I envision; I can trust her to take my ideas and execute them perfectly. The salon is adorable and welcoming. I can't think of a single complaint and have been coming here for years! read more

Love everything about this Salon, and all of the services! Lori is so talented and personable. Love all of the styles we have tried on my hair! I also enjoy Tina's massages - hands down the best I've ever had; as well as Dina's excellent nail services. Everyone makes you feel so comfortable. Fabulous! I highly recommend! read more

Crystal does my hair and does a fantastic job. Lori the manager is very sweet and greets every me every time. The salon is small, clean and welcoming. I am happy Crystal's back. The salon is located in route 2 of Warwick very busy area. There is some parking in the front and mostly parking in the back of the salon. I would definitely recommend this salon to family and friends. read more

Lori is the best! She really listens to what you want and cuts your hair precisely to your wishes. She is a rare find in the Haircutting business!! Plus one of the nicest people I have ever met! Bonus!! At 77 years old, I feel blessed and highly recommend Lori for your next haircut! read more

I had such and amazing experience at Astoria Salon! This place is unlike many others in which the moment you walk in you automatically feel welcomed. I got my cut by Amanda who was so patient in understanding exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly! I believe the owner, Lori, was also in the salon working on other clients while I was there and although she wasn't working with me, she still made an effort to greet me, chat with me while I was there, and say bye to me on my way out. read more

I decided to try this salon after reading the reviews. Amanda cut my hair and boy did she do a fantastic job! I have crazy thick wavy Portuguese hair. Amanda was able to not only cut it to the style I was looking for but also thinned out perfectly! I went for a layered bob and it's by far the cutest (and shortest) style I've had yet! The owner, Lori, was super nice and personable. She made me feel extremely welcomed, even made me a cup of coffee. The salon itself was very clean and comfortable. Everyone in there, staff and clients alike, were very relaxed and upbeat. I will definitely be coming back here again. read more

Astoria Salon - Cut about four inches! Shortest style I've had yet! Thanks Amanda!! - Hair Salons Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

I moved to RI and desperately needed a local hairdresser that I could rely on. I chose Astoria based off the great yelp reviews and I've been coming for around 3 years now! The prices are competitive and reasonable, and I get so many compliments on my hair because they do amazing work. It's a small salon, and Lori and Amanda make all the clients feel right at home. I can't recommend this salon enough! read more

The ladies do fantastic work. I always walk out feeling and looking so much better. Amamda is the only one I trust to do my hair (I have had a couple of bad experiences at other salons in the past). I have also seen some of Lori's (the other hair dresser) clients before and after and they looked gorgeous. As for my nails, well Dina is THE BEST. I highly recommend Astoria Salon, you will not regret it. read more

This place was amazing!! I loved how it was so clean, reasonably priced, and had such a great atmosphere! I had Christina, and she is a genius when it comes to hair. This is the first time I allowed someone to cut my hair short because I felt so comfortable with her that I knew she wouldn't mess it up! And the way she colored my hair was spot on! She styled my hair better than I imagined, so if you're looking for a new salon, go here, they are amazing! read more

Astoria Salon - Went from having hair that went halfway down my back, to shoulder length! I love it! Christina did an excellent job - Hair Salons Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

I have no idea how this place got 5 star reviews (other than they are friends of the owner). Yes, the place is tiny, but does tiny have to mean dirty? See pictures. Also, when I called to book the owner told me to "bring snacks" because my stylist is impeccable so it takes her a long time. Well, I was there for almost 3.5 hours for a color with a few foils and I didn't even let her dry me! So what took so long you ask? Her cigarette breaks. One after another. And yes she thought washing her hands hid the smell but it did not. And did you read other reviews where people said they were happy that their stylist checked with the owner first to make sure their plan sounded right? That's not ok! Thats called not having a clue what you are doing. Seriously, if you are looking for a new salon like I was, DO NOT go here. read more

I don't live in the area, so I relied on Yelp to find a hair salon in the neighborhood to do just a quick blow dry for a wedding I was in. Astoria Salon had great reviews and decided to try it out. When I got there, Lori suggested a simple updo instead of a blow dry since it was about 95 degrees out and the humidity was high. The updo came out fantastic; the employees were nothing but pleasant, efficient and quick and I felt like I had been going there for years. I wish I lived closer but I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area! Fantastic place, great vibe and amazing hair. read more

Astoria Salon - Simple updo - Hair Salons Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

Astoria Salon is the best salon I have been to in Rhode Island. Lori is the owner, and she is my stylist. The salon isn't big, but it is definitely full of a lot of talented ladies, and they make their small space work well for them. They offer regular salon services and there is also a spa upstairs where they do facials, massages, and waxing. It has a very cheerful feel to it, and Lori made me feel like we had been friends for years at my very first appointment. She transformed me from boring, long frizzy hair, to a cute stylish trendy cut, which was very flattering. She listened to what I wanted, and then gave her opinion on what she thought would be better for me and my hair type. I have had several appointments with Lori and she is always consistent with her work, and her customer service and hospitality. She has even made time to cut my sons' hair and allowed them to help water her plants while she cut them as a distraction. They are difficult toddlers and she managed to get them to cooperate for their hair cuts. I truly believe there isn't anything Lori can't do. A+ for Astoria from me. read more

I AM SO HAPPY! I went and saw Amanda (who took me last minute the week before Christmas, forever grateful) and she gave me the BEST hilight I've ever gotten. Our consult was thorough and she listened to exactly what I was looking for. She worked hard to get so many babylights tucked into my head and the end result was FAB. The salon itself is cozy and adorable and the owner is as sweet as they come. Totally found my new Rhody hairdresser! read more

Astoria Salon - My gorgeous new blonde in natural light - Hair Salons Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

Highly recommend! I was able to get fit in short notice the next day (exactly when I wanted), my hair came out looking wonderful, the staff (and fellow customers) were happy and pleasant, and on top of all that, it was affordable. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Great work, ladies :) read more

Tina has been waxing me for years! She is excellent! I always get compliments on my brows! She does waxing, facials, and massages. Such a calming soul also! Started seeing Lori for cuts and colors also! Everyone does an awesome job. Love the cut and color I got today! read more

I had such a bad experience here. I asked for about 3 inches of length to be cut and for the wispy pieces in front to be trimmed as they had grown out. Ananda cut about 5 inches off, which I can work with but am not thrilled about. The front of my hair though is an absolute mess. It looks like I am growing out my bangs....but I never had bangs. My two thin wispy pieces I keep down when I throw my hair up are now very thick and blunt. They are also uneven and at a very unflattering length. I have never had a hair cut this bad. I would never recommend and would never go back. A huge waste of money and a huge regret trying this place out. read more

From the minute I called to make my appointment, to the time I left with my new (beautiful) hair cut I had a great experience. Both Lori and Amanda made me feel so comfortable. Between being a new working mom and just finding out I am expecting again, my self care has fallen through the cracks. I havent felt beautiful in a long time. Yesterday I left Astoria feeling more beautiful than I have in a long time. They definitely have a loyal customer in me, now! Thank you ladies so much! read more

Woop Woop! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair. I got my hair cut and colored! Crystal did an absolute amazing job and is such a sweetheart! Lori (owner) was extremely friendly and because we had talked about my hair color on the phone, she checked up to make sure that Crystal and I had a game plan that made me happy. Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable comparably to the other places I have looked into without skimping on the attention. I already can't wait for my next appointment. read more

I was super nervous about going to a new place after 20+ years with the same stylist but I'm so happy I did! They were fantastic! Skilled, very nice and actually on time! I am so pleased! Definitely would recommend. At those prices it was a great value too! They have acquired a new regular today. read more

In January I went to get a balayage done. This was my first time getting my hair dyed. I showed them the first picture to give them an idea of what I wanted, and the second picture is what they did (taken at the hotel I was staying at not Astoria). It looked completely unnatural and not like balayage whatsoever. I have been to two salons since, both asked what was done to my hair. At the time o thought it was balayage but both said that what was done to my hair was not balayage and they didn't know what it was. I've since gotten my hair redone and the stylist told me that my hair was completely messed up from Astoria. I'd give a zero, but the people here are very nice and I'm sure their other services are good. read more

Love it here! Just moved to the area so I needed a new salon. Called to set up an appointment and they were super friendly. When I got to the salon, my stylist Christina greeted me and was very nice. She asked what I was looking for and I feel like she really took it to heart. After getting a shampoo/condition, she sat me down and gave me one of the best cuts I think I've ever had! Also, price was extremely reasonable. Will definitely be back! read more

Oh i really wish i could remember the name of the staff who did my hair cut.. she's done a great job!!! (She's the one with bangs) she gave me a great hair cut and was very friendly. I'm not a great comversation starter so sometimes i get weirded out but i really loved how she tried to make conversation with me and tried to explain everything if i ask her about anything. Honestly it wasn't a planned visit, i was just around the area and my hair was just extra fizzy that day so i just yelped the place and walked right in. But i would say that it was a great spontaneous decision i made! Oh i really loved the way they massage your head when they are washing your hair.. all the products they use smells so great too!!-i think she said they are natural or organic products i can't exactly remember but anyways it did wonders to my hair and they weren't fizzy anymore :P oh, and smelled just so great :) I minused one star because the place was little tiny.. i just wish it was a little more spacious.. read more

I have had such bad luck with hair salons these past two years, but finally I struck gold. I gave them a very challenging hair dye project and they nailed it! No questions asked and no trying to change my mind. Amanda is a great colorist using a very fastidious method, but her attention to details paid off! They all collaborated together to make sure my hair came out right and I appreciated the group effort. They were kind and polite to me, which always makes the time spent in the chair easier. Excellent experience. I would recommend to anyone. read more

I was able to squeeze into an appointment in a pinch, so that was very kind of them. When I arrived I didn't know what to expect but they greeted me so kindly. I felt like I went to a friend's house to get my hair done, that's how comfortable the owner and her staff made me feel. My hairstylist was fun and professional and really took the time to talk through what I wanted which I was grateful for. She took my recent hair loss into consideration and modified her dye formula so it didn't further damage my weak hair. I appreciated the individual attention and effort and will definitely be going back again! I will also be recommending them to others. read more

I love, love, LOVE Astoria Salon. When I am there, I feel at home. Everyone here is friendly and inviting, like a little family. I wrote in a request for an appointment yesterday and Lori (the owner) answered my message immediately offering me an appointment. I had let my roots grow out for way too long and I was in desperate need for some help. As soon as I walked in, I immediately understood all the other reviews that spoke about the "warming" and "welcoming" nature of the cute salon. Everyone I spoke to was kind and friendly. Lori immediately offered me a beverage and I felt right at home. Christina was my stylist and let me tell you, I have NEVER been so at ease with someone who was dying my hair before. She was so friendly and upbeat and easy to talk to. She listened to what I wanted and gave me better results than I could have even hoped for. She was attentive, understood what I was asking for, and worked with me for hours to get exactly what I wanted. This is the best my hair has ever looked. If you are looking for a new salon you NEED to go to Astoria. It will exceed all your expectations and is VERY reasonably priced (dare I say underpriced) for the quality of the service. I can't rave enough about this salon, you just need to go see for yourself ASAP. YOU WILL BE OBSESSED JUST LIKE I AM!!! Seriously. Go. read more

Everything about Astoria salon is 5 stars. From the moment I walk in I always feel like I'm in the best hands. The Astoria staff always make sure you're 110% satisfied before you leave. My favorite hair salon in RI! Owner Lori is always warm, attentive, and professional. As a Bostonian, it's refreshing to come home and get a fabulous cut and color for under $100. Compared to my experience at past salons, I've never left Astoria unhappy. Lori knows exactly how to cater to her clients and is extremely through in doing so. Definitely worth checking out if you're anywhere near the Warwick, RI area (it's worth a one hour train ride for me!). read more

After seeing many good reviews I went into this salon without an appointment and explained to the manager (who is amazing) what I wanted and I told her I didn't expect to go blonde in one day and everything like that. She said never say never and asked if I would wait for Amanda to come in and that she could do it (AMAZING BECAUSE I DIDNT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT) Amanda is great and I'll request her every time now. She spent 5 hours on my super thick hair making me blonde. It looks amazing and I'm so thankful that they spent so much time on me. And yes I got blonde in one day. I'm so happy. read more
