We were interested mainly in beginner handgun safety. I know that Buddy & Jerry would customize the course to focus any any particular subject. The course lasted a little more than 2.5 hours and was reasonably priced. Buddy & Jerry are the best. During the course, they explain all the topics thoroughly and work with you to answer any & all questions along the way. They even asked at the end again, if there is anything else they could help with or if there was any topic that we wanted to go over with them. They are genuinely concerned with providing the best instruction and they delivered. The course covered clearing the gun, magazine loading, grip, sight picture, safety concerns \, ammunition, and much more. They assisted us with considerations when buying a handgun, some home-invasion scenarios, and details regarding how a gun functions with hands-on practice with a variety of handguns. The simulator is eye-opening as it presents you with actual real-life situations that place you in a "fire / no fire" position. This is not static range-type targets, but real life sequences - some even police dash-cam videos. The simulator tracks your shots for analysis. The kids enjoyed this part the most, and I think now we all appreciate the responsibility and pressure placed on gun owners and law enforcement officers to practice and to be able to make the proper split-second decisions if ever in that unfortunate situation. Fear of being judged at my lack of knowledge and skill. Fear that I wouldn't do well and would be ridiculed. Fear that if I took the class, I still wouldn't feel confident. At my daughter's urging and the desire of several friends to also take a class, I finally took the leap. From the moment that I emailed them 5 weeks ago with questions about the Women's Defense and CWP class, Mark and Pamela have been a delight to work with. A group of us wanted the class but we had a lot of questions and challenges getting our schedules together. Each question was answered promptly, thoroughly, professionally and nicely which put us all at ease to book the class. This past Saturday, 04/17/2021, our group of 12 took our class. It was fantastic! We ranged in age from early 20s to 60s. We had come as a group of friends for moral support because we were all nervous about taking the class and our shooting skills but honestly the instructors, Mark, Pamela, and Bruce, made us all feel so comfortable and confident that we were able to relax, ask questions without feeling stupid or judged and really learn things. As a bonus, this class is so much more than only a CWP class and it was very interactive. Mark talks about so many scenarios to help us think more about our safety and how to react. So many of the things that he said really made me stop and think. I was also thrilled that it made my 2 daughters, also in the class, think more about situations and their safety. At the end of the class, I walked away with my CWP application ready to take for processing and a sense of strength and confidence. In fact, our group enjoyed it so much that we all plan to go back for the fundamentals class! And now that we are a part of the "Last Stand Family", I anticipate more classes and training in the future. The facility - They are a bit off of the beaten path but worth the drive! The classroom is comfortable with good climate control and there is a separate building with bathrooms. The range is outside with plenty of room and light. I didn't take any pictures because I was so focused but Pamela took a lot of the class and they have a ton on their social so anyone can see the area. I definitely recommend Last Stand Defense to anyone that wants to take a class to get their CWP or simply to increase your knowledge.

I came in to have my beretta repaired as an empty casing somehow got lodged into the pipe. The owner is an a retired police officer, so we chatted about the age of law enforcement a bit and it took him about an hour to fix the weapon. Good value for the repair and I picked up some boxes of ammo!
