We had the chance to speak with the GM (Keith) who is very professional, friendly and VERY knowledgeable about firearms. When we entered the area to begin using the firearms Keith stayed and explained and demonstrated the safe and proper way to handle the firearm. I felt so comfortable as a first time shooter and holder of a firearm. The ladies there were very helpful and kind. We appreciated such good customer service and them all being patient. My son and I will return to take the classes to obtain our permit to carry a firearm. A slightly below average indoor range brought up significantly by the ability to rent full auto…read moreguns, which is a rarity and novelty. Max distance is only 15 yards which is a basic "working distance" to me, there are hash marks in the walls and floor with no indicators of what the range is, the carriers are very old and don't have full cardboard backers so your target options are a bit limited. I didn't love that I was not allowed to sweep up brass myself, I am a high volume and high speed shooter, I went through 300 rounds in just under 30 minutes and they were all below my feet, but the RSO didn't allow me to sweep them so they were underfoot. That's a safety hazard in my book. I am sure they have a reason for it but no range I have ever been to objected to my sweeping and most encourage it. Meanwhile a person in the lane next to me was behind the red line with a gun in his hand with the RSO seeing it, and one of their rules is not to do that. Not that I am a Karen, frankly I don't care, but it was frustrating that a rule that I cannot see the sense of, that was actively making my time there less safe, was enforced, while another was given a pass. Range ammo is pricey but I have never been to a range other than PSA where it isn't. My range fees were $18 and I was there just about 30 minutes, which is absurd. Not a terrible range by any means, but my main reason to return would be if I have a hankering to rent a full auto gun. J.Ja

We were interested mainly in beginner handgun safety. I know that Buddy & Jerry would customize the course to focus any any particular subject. The course lasted a little more than 2.5 hours and was reasonably priced. Buddy & Jerry are the best. During the course, they explain all the topics thoroughly and work with you to answer any & all questions along the way. They even asked at the end again, if there is anything else they could help with or if there was any topic that we wanted to go over with them. They are genuinely concerned with providing the best instruction and they delivered. The course covered clearing the gun, magazine loading, grip, sight picture, safety concerns \, ammunition, and much more. They assisted us with considerations when buying a handgun, some home-invasion scenarios, and details regarding how a gun functions with hands-on practice with a variety of handguns. The simulator is eye-opening as it presents you with actual real-life situations that place you in a "fire / no fire" position. This is not static range-type targets, but real life sequences - some even police dash-cam videos. The simulator tracks your shots for analysis. The kids enjoyed this part the most, and I think now we all appreciate the responsibility and pressure placed on gun owners and law enforcement officers to practice and to be able to make the proper split-second decisions if ever in that unfortunate situation. Called today to see if they had live bait shrimp because Hadrell's (A REAL bait shop!) was out. Instead of saying yes or no I got a lecture that bait shrimp only live for 3 hours and if I was any kind of fisherman I'd know that. Funny the ones in my live well have been happy for at least 7hrs. How do these people stay in business???? Would give ZERO stars if I could. BTW not a yankee transplant.
