Happy 250? So why would a store that supports the 2nd amendment ban someone for exercising their…read more1st amendment rights? After my first post, with no response from the business on either Yelp or Google, I was informed by a friend that the magazines that I had been waiting for over two months to get were available at the store for pickup. I was NOT notified by the store. However, these were not from the mfr since they were in new off the rack boxes. When I texted the store GM, Felix, they promptly stated "Just to let you know, Bullseye Bills no longer wants to serve you as a customer." (See attached). I had been a patron of this store, both the current owner and previous owner, for nearly 18 years. I am retired from the US Army, I served this country on 6 continents and have fought in multiple combat theaters to be told by a veteran owned business that because I posted my concerns about the challenges I faced with the store's customer service practices it apparently offended them so much I am not allowed to continue to shoot or purchase anything from them. More importantly, the GM stated to me that I didn't tell the whole truth in my post. He said I was given a large discount for the items but in truth, many of the life members and non-life members of the previous store have been given additional discounts, based on the volume of items purchased in the store. When I asked for the replacement magazine for the first item, the recognition of the discount was not mentioned and when I bought the firearm, the reciprocal discount for the missing magazine was not mentioned. Furthermore, the seller also mentioned that he would notify the GM and was surprised that after two months of not receiving the magazine. Additionally, as a life member of the original store, we were allowed to continue to shoot for free without any direction on when our life member service would be terminated. Again, I told the truth, expressed my 1st amendment RIGHT of the freedom of speech and now I'm banned without compensation for my life membership. Is this a real gun store for all people or just one that doesn't care about veterans or the Bill of Rights?

I recently purchased a Turkish made .410 semi-automatic shotgun by McCoy firearms Des Plaines,…read moreIllinois from PSA in Summerville. It was on clearance, it was the last one they had in stock, but they had to have it shipped from a different store. I don't typically purchase firearms sight unseen, but it was too good of a deal. Plus I was led to believe they had it in store, until they found out that their inventory was incorrect, and it had to be shipped to their store from somewhere else. So even though it was paid for in store, they still considered it an online purchase, when it was their staff who ordered it online. Which I was unaware of that they were doing. That was PSA's first excuse on "Not knowing anything, can't help you out, it was purchased online, we only guarantee and warranty our own products." This was after I told them that I didn't purchase it online, I purchased it in-store. The box it came in was in tatters, there were no instructions with it, it was missing the plug, but it did come with three chokes and the tool kit. THE ISSUE? The bolt would not remain open, as a semi-automatic should. If you could even get it to stay open the wrong way, as soon as you set it down or moved it in the slightest way the bolt would slam shut. Where you at typically pull the bolt back and push/release the button on the outside right or left to lock it in place. PSA where I purchased the gun from, had absolutely no knowledge of this firearm that they sold me, pretty much told me I was on my own and sent me packing. Even though that was the place where the gun was purchased. So I called The Gun Doctor, I spoke with a nice, knowledgeable lady on the phone, and she solved my problem in less than 5 minutes. She talked me through it, making it sound so simple that a caveman could do it. I guess they have a new way of locking the bolt back these days, where it's not the big button on the outside, but the little button, sticking out less than a quarter of an inch in front of the trigger guard where the load ramp/port is. PROBLEM SOLVED I used to frequent The Gun Doctor in the early 2000s when I did a lot of shooting. I carried a lot of lead and extra goodies out of that store. They still have the same standard of quality, knowledgeable people, and great customer service that I am used to from them. PSA in Summerville on the other hand, definitely lost a customer. The $200 in ammunition I was going to purchase from them, I purchased from a different vendor. And got a better deal than I would have in store at PSA, even with the $10 flat fee shipping. A pawn shop would be better than PSA. If you need anything regarding firearms, The Gun Doctor is the place to call. Don't even waste your time running down the list of others, start with the top, the top shelf, The Gun Doctor.

A slightly below average indoor range brought up significantly by the ability to rent full auto…read moreguns, which is a rarity and novelty. Max distance is only 15 yards which is a basic "working distance" to me, there are hash marks in the walls and floor with no indicators of what the range is, the carriers are very old and don't have full cardboard backers so your target options are a bit limited. I didn't love that I was not allowed to sweep up brass myself, I am a high volume and high speed shooter, I went through 300 rounds in just under 30 minutes and they were all below my feet, but the RSO didn't allow me to sweep them so they were underfoot. That's a safety hazard in my book. I am sure they have a reason for it but no range I have ever been to objected to my sweeping and most encourage it. Meanwhile a person in the lane next to me was behind the red line with a gun in his hand with the RSO seeing it, and one of their rules is not to do that. Not that I am a Karen, frankly I don't care, but it was frustrating that a rule that I cannot see the sense of, that was actively making my time there less safe, was enforced, while another was given a pass. Range ammo is pricey but I have never been to a range other than PSA where it isn't. My range fees were $18 and I was there just about 30 minutes, which is absurd. Not a terrible range by any means, but my main reason to return would be if I have a hankering to rent a full auto gun. J.Ja
