My son and I had the opportunity to visit Quickshot Shooting Range on April 25th. The range is very neat and clean upon entry. The staff is very welcoming. We had the chance to speak with the GM (Keith) who is very professional, friendly and VERY knowledgeable about firearms. When we entered the area to begin using the firearms Keith stayed and explained and demonstrated the safe and proper way to handle the firearm. I felt so comfortable as a first time shooter and holder of a firearm. The ladies there were very helpful and kind. We appreciated such good customer service and them all being patient. My son and I will return to take the classes to obtain our permit to carry a firearm. Thank you for making my first time so enjoyable that I have found a new love for fire arms and shooting at the range. read more

A slightly below average indoor range brought up significantly by the ability to rent full auto guns, which is a rarity and novelty. Max distance is only 15 yards which is a basic "working distance" to me, there are hash marks in the walls and floor with no indicators of what the range is, the carriers are very old and don't have full cardboard backers so your target options are a bit limited. I didn't love that I was not allowed to sweep up brass myself, I am a high volume and high speed shooter, I went through 300 rounds in just under 30 minutes and they were all below my feet, but the RSO didn't allow me to sweep them so they were underfoot. That's a safety hazard in my book. I am sure they have a reason for it but no range I have ever been to objected to my sweeping and most encourage it. Meanwhile a person in the lane next to me was behind the red line with a gun in his hand with the RSO seeing it, and one of their rules is not to do that. Not that I am a Karen, frankly I don't care, but it was frustrating that a rule that I cannot see the sense of, that was actively making my time there less safe, was enforced, while another was given a pass. Range ammo is pricey but I have never been to a range other than PSA where it isn't. My range fees were $18 and I was there just about 30 minutes, which is absurd. Not a terrible range by any means, but my main reason to return would be if I have a hankering to rent a full auto gun. J.Ja read more

This time with my wife who said that she has not fired a pistol in 8 years. She knows that for me other than this this week (with the oldest boy) and last week being my 1st time on the range in probably 15 or 20 years. Today there was a man there who was able to rent an automatic weapon as long as he bought the ammunition from the business. He hit his target with a number of quick shots and put the multiple holes in the target. A bit difficult to concentrate with that rapid fire, but we obviously managed well. See the photos for some proof. read more

For a small local range it was fun and safe. I'm not a fan of indoor shooting, maybe I'm just old but I prefer shooting on my property. We were in SC visiting in laws and This range was about 10 min away so we decided to get some time in. Went one day with my Father-in-law and we both got our own lane. We shot for around an hour. Range target system is old school but Simple to operate. You won't get any fancy computers or anything like that but it works and anyone can figure it out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The best thing about this place was that no one working there was condescending or pretentious, both common with range staff at some places. We had all the guns and ammo we needed but they have both if you need it. I would advise buying ammo elsewhere as you will pay a premium at any range. Went back the next day with my daughter, she and I both shoot competitively and she had a blast but we both prefer outdoor shooting, having to wear over the ear muffs for an hour plus Is headache inducing. And indoors I double up on ear-pro. Im sure I'll be back next time I visit the in-laws. read more

I mean it's a gun range what's not to like? I actually came here by myself the first time and did the yelp offer. I ended up shooting 2 different 9mm's of their and a fully auto machine gun. In about an hour I went through 100 rounds of Luger 9mm and in 30 seconds burned 60 rounds in the machine gun. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The range hands are quite knowledgeable about all firearms. I've been back 3 times since and they even assist me with my firearm if/when I have an issue and cannot deduce what it is. Shooting is not cheap so don't go here expecting to spend $20 to discharge a few rounds. 50 round boxes of 9mm are about $40 a pop. I spent about $150 and that was with the yelp offer. I'm not gonna lie this place is convenient AF. My wife signed up for her CWP and a few weeks before her test ended up joining. If you are going to shoot on a regular basis I highly recommend their membership. She gets to bring me for free and we both have our own firearms so it's pretty affordable. If you are interested in shooting or learning more about guns this is not a bad place to start. read more

This was my first trip to an indoor shooting range and it was one of the busiest days of the year according to staff. Maybe people want to get out some frustrations of all the family togetherness during the holidays? Bring in the New Year with a bang? Anyway, the lobby was packed and we had a large group. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were able to get us all checked in, gear issued, and access to two lanes rather quickly. I honestly thought we would have to come back another day or it would take hours to get in. It is obvious that they put safety first here. There is an overseer who maintains the shooting galley at all times. They also have staff who come in and sweep up shell casings and check around to make sure they're aren't any issues. They offer assistance and suggestions, while making sure everyone knows and follows the rules. There were all levels of experienced shooters, but at no time was that an issue. There was even a woman getting what appeared to be a first lesson handling a gun at all. The trainer was supportive and the woman seemed very pleased with her experience too. Most of us brought weapons but a couple rented. There are also targets for purchase, and protective hearing and eyewear available for rent for a nominal fee. I suspect I will be making another trip here in the near future! read more

This place is a well run range. Staff is always friendly and the shop is clean and well maintained. A few times that I've been there have been a few lane issues with the target holders, but they addressed it quickly both times. Reasonable rates, good selection of guns to choose from if you want to try something out, and it's generally not crowded during the week when I go. I didn't go through their class but I know they offer CWP classes if you're needing that too. read more

First time trying this range. Customer service was very good. They have a huge problem with their acoustics inside their range. It's so loud when people around you are shooting it becomes annoying and it takes away the enjoyment being their. We left after 2 rounds because of this. I been to maybe 10 gun ranges and this is by far the loudest. When I say loud it so loud you can feel it in your body. I am not going back. read more

Private lessons were great and worth the money! David made me very comfortable with my gun and taught me everything I needed to know. Quick Shot is conveniently located off of Sam Rittenberg Blvd. Very professional and courteous staff always willing to help. They have 8 lanes and there's always availability. Prices are reasonable as they charge by the hour. They have probably 30-40 weapons for rent, including multiple machine guns! Great selection of targets and they offer "eyes" and "ears" if you don't have them! Great time going up there regularly with friends and family. Highly recommend it for some good fun and stress relief! Make sure to stop in a few doors down for a pint or two at Twisted Cypress when you're done! read more

I just moved to Charleston and enjoying shooting regularly. I found Quick Shoot and went three times. The service was fantastic! I decided to buy a membership for myself and a gift for a family member. About $700 to give you an idea!! The staff has always been friendly and helpful but today was not the case. I've never seen this guy before but he's extremely rude and disrespectful. He was sitting at the counter on his personal phone making a personal call. The phone rang for the store and he got up and sent it to voicemail! Basically ignored me till he was done! I didn't catch his name but if the owner reads this reach out to me! Please fire him!!!! Cut your hours back if your short handed or whatever you need to do to get rid of him! I'm on the fence about demanding my money back and never going there again! read more

Just wanted to update my review. As I have continued to frequent Quickshot, I have become more comfortable with my 9mm. I am both accurate and precise, and there is a difference. I feel comfortable hitting a target near and far. The staff are incredibly knowledgable and patient. Some of the guns are glitchy but they welcome you to bring your own, so I do. I great place to earn your concealed weapons permit. read more

This shooting range maybe the best in Charleston the staff here are fantastic and super knowledgeable on all the guns they carry. Everything from semi automatic to fully automatic they have it all. This location is extremely clean and well taken care of. I was here for a date and it was my girlfriends first time shooting any type of gun. She was clearly scared and unsure what to expect but the staff where able to help her loosen up and get comfortable with a few pointers and gun safety. After starting small we worked our way up to some full automatic weapons. We both had a wonderful time and she was really happy with how fun it was. If we ever end up in Charleston again we will definitely be making it a must stop on the list of things to do. read more

Great range staff is always very helpful took my CCP class here and my wife and I practice here all the time

Passed by QuickShot so many times and finally went in. First off the place is very clean and the staff is very helpful. It is a small range compared to others, but it's a great value. They have a lot of specials during the week that makes it worth your while to go and visit. Solid 3.5 stars and I believe would be an excellent value more during the week than on the weekends. That being said, they have a lot of weapons for rentals that most normally would not be able to have access to. The only thing that I really didn't care for is that you have to use THEIR ammo when you rent their weapons. Their house, their rules...But there are other places in Charleston that you can use your own ammo. Will definitely return, but probably never rent. LD read more

Very nice facility. Good safe atmosphere yet the range officials aren't smothering like other places I have been. They were there to assist if needed and ensured everyone was safe. Horrible experience with the staff of this place today. It was my first time there and after today I definitely won't be back. Please feel free to let me know if I'm the one who is out of line here... but I had a malfunction with my gun ( I didn't have it oiled enough ) so it stopped shooting for me. Confused on what I should do, I unloaded it, took the round out of the chamber, released the magazine and pulled the slide back. I made sure the gun was visibly unloaded from a distance. I walked out to the lobby with the hopes that they would inspect it for me, and immediately this dude behind the counter screamed at me and told me to get back in the range now. Like I said, the gun was visibly unloaded. He then came in and told me they should've kicked me out for that. With all this said... I'm aware that it would've been wise of me to just leave the pistol in the range. But I felt his reaction was extremely dramatic and unjustified. I don't believe any other place would've treated a first time customer like that. If you want a good range with a really friendly staff, you should go to C and S shooting in North Charleston. Will not be returning to this place. read more

My friend and I came there when they opened, first off they had too many people in one single space shooting their guns. Then they told us that there were no lanes open and told us to wait until there was an opening. There wasn't a sign in sheet or anything. The man behind the counter was just supposed to mentally keep track of who is next. We waited for about 30 mins and then the man called us up to the counter to say that there is no one there to show us how to shoot if we are not familiar with shooting a weapon and he advised us to come back tomorrow. I would never recommend this establishment! I feel like it lacks professionalism! read more

Giving the range officers a 5, and front counter employees a 4. I'm from out of state where most gun ranges are state of the art as far as looks and better range equipment so I was a bit disappointed. I'll go back again when I'm in town read more

First time visitor. There were 3 of us with a mix of expert to beginner and the guys were great to get us set up and comfortable. The focus on safety was important, and not only was it an initial briefing, but inside the range they were there to answer questions and give proactive advice. They helped us with a range of ammo for the guns we brought, but also 2 different rentals of some really cool guns that we'd never experienced. Strongly recommended for beginners or experts! Great staff and facility. read more

Excellent range. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Full autos. Often times when you go to a range you've never been to before, the staff will treat you poorly. In fact, knowing absolutely nothing about you, they will usually speak with a very condescending tone and "make sure you know they are in charge" which on some level I understand, but that doesn't mean that I haven't wanted to crack some fools' skulls from time to time over the years. Anyone who has been to a shooting range before probably knows what I am talking about. Not so at Quickshot. They staff obviously makes safety a priority (there ARE live weapons in the mix, folks) and laid out the range rules without being haughty or overly pedantic. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I will be back. Protip: Did I mention they have fully automatic weapons for rent? It's a quick way to burn through some cash (in ammo) but if you have never had the experience, it's worth a shot. (pun intended, haha!) read more

I went to this range today with my girlfriend to help her try to narrow down which pistol she wants to buy. She has a membership and I do not, but they treated me with the same courtesy and respect that they did her. This is hands down the most friendly gun range I have ever been to and I have been to a lot if them! They have a variety of guns you can shoot and are very helpful. They always have a person in the range to help and when he/she isn't assisting someone, they are keeping a close eye out for safety and cleaning up as well. This has been the most pleasant visit to any range ever and I highly recommend them to anyone. It doesn't matter if you're a veteran shooter or a beginner, this is the best place in town to go!! read more

Great time here. Had a groupon and was still treated with great service unlike a few other ranges I have been to. The lady working was super helpful and wasn't hovering over as I shot, again, unlike other places. Prices were very moderate and reasonable. They had a BUNCH of full auto variants available. I did the g36, ump and mp5. They also had a m16, tommy gun and a p90 I believe. Great experience definitely give them a visit! read more

I hadn't fired a gun in 15 years and my GF had never shot before when we visited yesterday. We had a great time, the staff are really helpful and friendly. The counter guy helped guide us with gun selection and the other person on the gun range was great explaining differences between each gun and explaining how to safely handle each one. We had an awesome hour and a half there shooting 4 pistols and 2 rifles for approx $75 including gun hire, ammo, targets etc. Unfortunately we don't live in Charleston otherwise I would definitely return. I definitely recommend these guys for any other beginners. Thanks Quick Shot! read more

Three of us went in earlier today (Sunday afternoon). The guys at the counter are friendly and very welcoming. The front of the range is clean. We had our own guns, but they have a very large selection of rental guns. We had our own ammo and targets, so I can't comment on their prices. The lanes are well lighted and a range officer was present and kept the range area swept clean. Safety regulations are enforced with no firearms permitted except at the shooting stations. Even though I'm from Ohio, these guys treated me well (we lost to Clemson last night)! Prices were reasonable. I'll be back when I'm in Charleston again. read more

I found this place on Groupon. It still was a little pricey considering you have to pay for your own ammo (good thing I chose the 8 mm, which was still $23 a round). The front desk people were super friendly but didn't ask if you were beginner or advanced which I thought was odd. They kind of just give you all your things and send you on your way. I didn't mind it considering I have shot before but it may be intimidating for a beginner that doesn't like to ask questions. In the actual range there is a "safety instructor" who is the crankiest old man you'll meet in SC! I mean really. I asked him where the safety was and he looked at me like I had two heads! I've never handled a gun without a safety so I was surprised to learn this one didn't have any lol. I even attempted to clean up my shells afterwards and he gave me an odd look and it seemed like it pained him to say thanks. It could have been such a nicer experience if he was just not so miserable to be there. It was a nice experience because I enjoy shooting but unless I had the Groupon Deal again I would not be going back. read more

We were a group of 15 and had an extremely pleasant experience here. To begin, we were first timers and New Yorkers so we were a handful of personalities but the gentleman who took care of us went above and beyond to explain everything to us and teach us the fundamentals of handling a firearm. It was reasonably priced and we will definitely be back! read more

I had a great first experience at Quickshot! Ray, the range manager (I believe) made us feel very welcome. My buddy is relatively new to guns and Ray helped out giving us both some great pointers. There is always a range employee overseeing that proper safety precautions are being followed by all shooters. They do a great job at that btw which made me feel a little more comfortable given there were a few others inside the range with us at the time. The same employee sweeps up your spent casings as well so no one slips on them, I thought that was pretty cool. There is a pretty decent selection of firearms to rent as well at very affordable cost. Great if you're in the market for a new gun and not sure what you want to get. They also have hearing and eye protection that you can rent too. And you can buy ammo there. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this range if you are looking to do some target practice. read more

First time here and they were so helpful. I've shot bows, rifles, and revolvers but never semi autos. You know, when my mouth and and the karate lessons aren't enough. They were helpful, kind, and experienced. Walked me through every step of handling the hand gun. Thanks fellas! I will definitely be back. Especially because I bought the membership without any pressure! read more

First I love the range. Been there dozens of times and always enjoyed myself. Been awhile since I had been in due to the ammo shortage. So I go last weekend with a buddy to get some shooting in. Like I said it's been awhile so I didn't recognize the guys working. The guy at the front desk (red head white dude with a beard) was awesome. Friendly and informative. Asked what we were shooting and got us set up. We wanted two lanes but they only had one available. Gave us the option to add another if it opened up. Get inside the range and head to our lane and things kinda went sour from there. Range master ( short chubby black dude with dark sunglasses) was for lack of a better word a bit of an ass. As I'm setting up my gear he leans into the lane and just stares at me. Doesn't say a word. Just stares. I get he wants to know what I'm shooting. Also need to see what kind of ammo I was running. He could've at least asked while he was staring. May not bother some people but it rubbed me the wrong way. Shortly after we get set up the lane next to us opened up and there was no one waiting. So I asked the range master if we could add that lane to our bill. I told him the guy at the front desk said it was fine and I could go back out and double check if he wanted. He says in what I'm assuming is his best Batman voice that the guy at the front doesn't have the authority to do that. What? He's the guy that literally set us up. He's the guy that told us which lane to use. Didn't make much sense. Anyway he talks to the front desk and then gives us the ok. But not before lecturing us about not moving weapons from lane to lane. And I mean lecture. I get he doesn't know us. I get he has to make sure we know the rules. But there's a right and a wrong way to talk to people and that guy has it wrong. The range is five star all day. That dude is less than a one. Don't like him. read more
