So gang, here's the situation - my wife and I decided to do a bit of home upgrading of the smart variety. A sale at SMUD resulted in multiple ecobee thermostats, which we tried to DIY. First went well, then... well, the other two, not so much. After some frustrating attempts and perusal of message boards, I called Rey's. Purchased $69 yelp special. Company held to cost. Adrian, technician, had relative knowledge in his field and delivered best product, price, & timeline possible. Price & timeline were not close to our usual HVAC technician who was initially not able to come out same day due to fixed commitments. Hkwever was able to come out next day/after Rey's; and, ultimately it was completed with a new entire hvac tomorrow/next day FOR over $4000+ less cost with slightly better system (3ton 15-seer a/c; 80% efficiency furnace. Rey's was about a week out--better timeframe than another, however, cost quote was several thousand too high compared to our usual technician/owner on cost & timing. They gave me a time window of 8 to 10, and I got a text at 8:45 advising that he was on his way. Eric came out to provide a second opinion on an issue with our HVAC unit, and within minutes, he located the leak and advised of the issue. This was the third company we called and second to actually look at our condenser. The first company that looked at it, actually came out twice, and couldn't identify the leak. Our furnace just stopped working about a week before Thanksgiving (of course right when we need it). I reached out to Rey's since they were local to see if it could be fixed. I received a call back immediately after I made an inquiry online. Eric came over and worked on the furnace for over an hour and said we could see about fixing it with some retrofit parts. He provided us with the details and we weighed the cost of a new system vs repairing ours as it is 33 years old. We decided to replace it as it seemed the better option in the long run. Eric went over everything and never once tried to upsell us on anything! He was extremely polite and honest which was great. He gave us 3 options and we ended up with a great new Rheem HVAC system. Our AC was also not working so we just did everything at once. We made the appointment for our new install and it was only a week away which was great. They took care of all the permits and paperwork needed. City came by today and said all was good. The morning of the install, Eric and his team showed up and everyone was really friendly and professional. They started promptly at 8am and everything was done by 4:00pm that day! The entire team was awesome! After the install was done, Eric and Jesus came back to look at everything and sat down to chat with us. We couldn't be happier with the service we received. Communication was on point and they answered all of our questions. We had 2 other estimates and Rey's came in with the better deal equipment and price wise. The other 2 companies we had estimates for were 4K to 6K higher and were only trying to upsell us on stuff we didn't need. I wish finding good contractors was this easy for every job! Our A/C stopped working and Rey's was available the next day to check it out. After the flat-rate inspection ($49), the A/C was working again. We discussed replacing the unit with a newer model, but Rey's was honest and told us it wasn't 100% necessary yet. I asked Rey's Air Solution to take a look at my A/C unit to be sure it was working well before it gets really hot. Scheduling was easy and they had a Yelp offer for a maintenance visit. Adrian arrived during the window they set for the appointment and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to explain and show me pictures of all the diagnostic steps, from cleaning the condenser unit to measuring all the amperages, temperatures, and acceptable performance ranges of the various components. I learned more about the HVAC system in 30 minutes with Adrian than I had in all the time I've used it. He had suggestions about things that could be replaced eventually but didn't hard-sell anything or make anything sound worse than it was- our 11-year-old unit is still working well and he said as much. I'd use Rey's again, and should I consider replacing or upgrading our equipment, I'd ask them to help. read more

Compressor replacement for HVAC unit priced at less than half of what other places charged for - another business charged around $500 for the exact same job/repair. Would recommend 10/10. I didn't want to wait to write this. Jesus just left our front door. Can I just start by saying BLESS YOU JESUS!! Literally!!!! He was so patient, wonderful, kind and empathetic to our situation. I was on the phone with our home warranty from 8 AM in the morning literally until 4:30 PM. They gave me the run around for hours and hours and I was nearly at a breaking point by the end of the day. They promised us they could get the issue resolved today and told us to be patient, but nope, it got pushed out each time further and further until the timeline increased to tomorrow. Keep in mind we were in 100+ degree weather and inside of the house was already reaching 90 degrees. Even though waiting for our home warranty would mean the service and repair would be free (since they agreed to waive the $75 service fee due to the delayed response), we decided to just go with Jesus after seeing the other company's poor reviews. When we scheduled an appointment with Jesus, he said his schedule was full for the day, but could get us in by tomorrow morning. We asked if he had a chance or if somebody cancelled, to please stop by sooner - we were desperate. 5:30 PM rolls around and he calls saying he's near our area and will stop by sooner. When we met him in person, we understood why he received such high ratings. He was in and out within half an hour and fixed our problem. He gave us tips to maintain our unit and took care of us. He even looked around to see potential hazards, and how to prevent them ourselves. He's a very straight forward person, and his prices are more than fair. I called someone else previously and they quoted me for about $500 to repair the damaged compressor, but Jesus quoted us for less than half that amount.
