Carl was incredible but I believe I have found an awesome replacement. After much research and reading reviews online and talking to close friends I decided to call Comfort Aire. Tracy had a technician out the same day and it was running within an hour of arrival. Unfortunately, because of circumstances outside of my control, the fix would only be temporary and the unit would need to be replaced. Matt, the owner, came out personally to meet with me and give me a quote. He listened to what I wanted and tailored the replacement to the best fit for the situation and budget. While onsite I ask for quote to install a mini-split in our 3-season room. Long story short the mini- split was replaced on a Thursday and the house system replaced the next Monday. Besides the pricing, quality of work and good communication from the office the one thing that impressed me the most was the technicians. In the course of the work and repair I had four technicians involved. Everyone of them was professional, polite and cared about giving the customer an excellent job. As soon as I called Old Line, Jennifer answered and was happy to help me. Appointment was scheduled on a Monday and James, the owner, was here Wednesday. Unfortunately, this was no easy fix and the hvac needed to be replaced. I suffer from a form of inflammatory arthritis that is exacerbated by the heat and would be without ac for a week or more. Do you know what James said? "I've got some window units that I'll bring by so you'll be comfortable until I can get back to install the new system". Within 45 minutes of James leaving my home, there's a knock at the door. It's Jennifer with the 2 window units. Wow, just wow!! Who does that? No large corporate hvac company would've done that. Talk about above and beyond and making us feel like family. I felt as if I had known James for years. Personable, honest, reliable and above all a wonderful human being! They were booked solid - but he listened to my issue over the phone and gave me some troubleshooting ideas to include it is "usually a GFCI somewhere that got bumped and tripped that is causing the problem". I asked if that doesn't work, any recommendations for a competing electrician - provided with no hesitation. Before calling the recommended competitor, I found the offending GFCI (second floor bathroom - who knew??!), reset it and all good. So I never actually used them - but they will be my first call when I actually need an electrician. Though I think I know why they were booked solid.
