The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and we had a nice conversation as I shopped. I love that they also carry jewelry as accessories (nice designs and reasonable prices). They have some interesting natural fabrics (i.e., bamboo) that hang really well on the garments. I also like that they have regular store hours and are open almost every day-- not always the case for other shops in Mendocino. They do ask customers to wear masks which I appreciate as COVID, RSV and the flu are in high gear this season, and they take precautions to avoid transmission to others, many of who are more vulnerable. All in all one of my favorite stores in Mendocino--check it out!

New stock apparently comes in on the frequent and when that happens you'll find the old going on sale and that's asking for my pocketbook to go empty. I definitely had to hold myself back. Friendly staff nearby ready to help if there was any to be had and simply just to hold some conversation. Definitely recommend to stop by and pick something up in case you forget a warm covering along with a souvenir.

They also have soaps and lotions, jams, etc. They have a lot of stuff in a small space. It is neat and tidy. A must-see for shopaholics, Husbands and sons will not appreciate it!

We've been coming in for years, and the owner is consistently so welcoming and kind. My son, Nicholas, is stoked and lights up every time we stop by so he can talk skateboarding with him. He really takes the time to connect which is so cool. Even outside the shop spotting the owner out and about, he always makes a point to say hello. Here's my breakdown of pros and cons to the thrift: Pros - prices. If it's a regularly marked item, their prices are good. Dirty clothes. The people sorting do a pretty good job imo of tossing clothes that are not wearable. Once in a while they have rag bags, so that's good they're trying to keep clothes from the landfill. The people that work there. Honestly, everyone I've come across (I'm there daily it seems like) is really sweet. If you didn't know this about Mendocino co, we were one of the last counties to get rid of the mask. I was in there several times tourist came in, and was upset we had that mandate still. Folks who are working in PB put up with a lot of meanness, and still managed to be kind. Cons. Pricing up clothes that seem to have a higher value. Can we just stop this already. This misconception of what has value is getting out of hand. Marking up shoes. Again, flat prices on shoes please. All in all, PB is a good thrift store, and I appreciate having it in my home town. I'm happy to update again if I see any other changes! :)

The prices are great, and I found some good pottery and they had so many cute teapots. Staff is friendly, I didn't get a chance to look through the clothes but the pricing sheet was very reasonable. The only thing is I wish their carts were a little more practical. They have the smaller really low to the ground carts that don't have a spot for a baby in the top. It was a little difficult to shop with my kiddos, but if you remember to put your stroller in the car (unlike me) it shouldn't be an issue.
