What can I say but so thankful for Katie and her long-standing shop who just hit 17 years (wow we have been visiting the area that long and been shopping since then). She has weathered the storms the volatility of many downtown stores closing shifting to online during covid (she even just let me shop and buy thru Instagram for a few years) and we were so glad to spend some time and see you again! What a fun store! They had a whole table in the front of LGBTQ stickers, patches and pins! The walls and walls of funny and cute socks were so fun to look at. There was a whole room towards the back of the store for all kids socks! The day I went they were having a back to school sale on Stance socks buy 3 get one free so we did! Left with some brightly colored flower socks, some with rainbow stripes, and some Guardians of the galaxy ones too! They even welcomed our dog to come look around with us. My favorite part was the pride flag flying out front. It welcomed us in and I'm so glad because this store was a great time on a foggy day with and iced coffee a great friend and a puppy by my side. read more

Cutest sock boutique off of Main Street. I couldn't get my eyes off all the selection of cool and unique socks they offered. They also have some cards and stuffed cute bunnies. The girl up in the cash registered was the nicest and friendliest, which has been rare to find from vendors and locals in this place. Well when you walk in and (no kidding) are attacked for not wearing HER opinion of a right mask to wear it ruins your shopping experiment. Yes my mask was mesh and rhinestone BUT it did have a paper mask lining but she went right to being rude and embarrassingly over the top , I didn't even dare to try and explain! This cute shop has fun, funky, colorful socks, tights and hats. There are lots of great items here for gift ideas. This music was perfect, I heard Mumford & Sons playing at the time, seemed to fit the shop just right. I can see this being a great shop to pick up something for a young teen or child. It was easy to see everything in the store, a major plus. Sometimes I feel like stores like this get too crammed. However, I didn't find a thing in here to be affordable. Yes, if it was a gift for someone the price doesn't exactly matter. But I went in looking for something for myself and couldn't find anything that was reasonably priced. It was also impossible to get any customer service. I'm not sure if it was because there were several other people in the shop, or because I am on the younger side thus they know I probably will not be spending much if I even do buy anything. Such a fun store! Holiday socks galore: Thanksgiving, Christmas and Chanukah were all up front, and ready for purchase. As you travel the store, the socks are all separated out by brand, which is nice because I was on the hunt for smartwool socks. Their prices are reasonable, and their selection was fantastic. LOVE this store! It's a lot like the Sock Shop in Santa Cruz but on a smaller scale. Tons of cute socks and tights plus extras like hats and gloves. Was a little bummed that they didn't have a lot of larger sizes in the Me Moi tights but I did find a few pairs of Hue velvet leggings and the Hubs bought some tie dyed socks. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that if you buy 6 pairs the most expensive pair is half off-I got one pair of the velvet leggings for $20 instead of $40-woot! It was cooler out than I expected while road tripping through Northern California, so when I saw a store with big, bulky socks in the window, I had to stop in. This is the mecca of socks, folks. I bought a chunky pair of plum-colored legwarmers, and they've already lasted like champs through several washings and adventures. Our favorite shopping place on the Mendocino Coast is Pippi's Longstockings. The new store is bright and open and much larger than when it was located in a quite tiny place a few blocks away. The inventory is huge, and it's a kaleidoscopic feast for the eyeballs. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, with lots of sox appeal. Whenever your wardrobe doesn't have enough stripes or polkadots, or robots or animals, you can find oodles of those at Pippi's. When you need non-matching socks - and who doesn't? - there are lots of those, too. Pippi's is required shopping if you are looking for gifts for teens and kids, even infants. It's great for stocking up for after-vacation fashion needs. Pippi's is the first shop we check out where we're in Fort Bragg. We can never get out of town without buying at least several pairs of socks. Often, it's the last store we visit, too, when we need to get just one more pair. read more
