We've been coming in for years, and the owner is consistently so welcoming and kind. My son, Nicholas, is stoked and lights up every time we stop by so he can talk skateboarding with him. He really takes the time to connect which is so cool. Even outside the shop spotting the owner out and about, he always makes a point to say hello. Anyways, Lost Surf Shack is such a "shop local" gem in Fort Bragg. We just walked out of there this afternoon with a set of knee pads and a happy kiddo, and I realized this review is long overdue!

Being safe is one thing but being paranoid is another. I have been vaccinated and always wear a mask. I didn't spend my money there.

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and we had a nice conversation as I shopped. I love that they also carry jewelry as accessories (nice designs and reasonable prices). They have some interesting natural fabrics (i.e., bamboo) that hang really well on the garments. I also like that they have regular store hours and are open almost every day-- not always the case for other shops in Mendocino. They do ask customers to wear masks which I appreciate as COVID, RSV and the flu are in high gear this season, and they take precautions to avoid transmission to others, many of who are more vulnerable. All in all one of my favorite stores in Mendocino--check it out!

The owner Drea greeted me and we chatted. I ended up purchasing so many great items, including my favorite pair of lounge pants that she had saved for herself but pulled them from behind the counter and sold them to me. I almost didn't accept them but I was in love with them. So much so I came back 6 months later(I primary residence TX) and purchased 4 more pairs in different colors. During this purchase I met *Brittini. She is fabulous. Helpful bright and cheerful. Even though I am only there every 3/6 months she remembers me. I recently bought a dress that I am in with. I can't wait to go back and shop some more. The prices and variety of clothing are amazing. This is a MUST visit while in #Mendocino

She left me to shop and made conversation with my man while he so patiently waited. She even welcomed my small dog to come in, yet was able to ensure helping me with sizes and suggestions.
