Then I found Turkey Hill Ice cream Experience only 30min away from Lancaster, and decided to visit. We bought the double scoop experience (comes with ice cream test lab) and obviously that was the highlight of the place! The visit was fun and of course my 5-year-old daughter had a great time eating tons of ice cream!

Be sure to take the few moments, to watch the introduction video. My favorite ice cream sample flavors were Graham Slam & Blueberry Lemon Pound Cake. An attraction must, well visiting Lancaster, PA. My recommendation would be too sell a few more flavors that you offer , with unlimited tastings. My favorite was orange icedtea.

It feels like you're visiting the home of an old friend. We particularly enjoy the dry red wines and the sweet wines that Ridgewood offers. For the reds, the Merlot and Cab Franc were noteworthy for their balance and nice finishes. The Merlot was silky, oaky and smooth approach. The Cab Franc is a bit spicier, bolder and robust - wine to pair with a nice, hearty meat dish. On the sweet side of things, the Diamond is a subtle, light choice for those who are prone to be turned-off by heavier, acidic reds. The Peach Splendor is a pleasant surprise with a fresh, light, fruit-forward feel. Pair this with some chocolate squares if you're enjoying it after a meal. The Olde Orchard has a great "fall season" feel, complete with elements of apple pie, a hint of tartness and a blend of sweet. Finally, the Underground is a rising star that everyone seems to be discovering lately. It's a Merlot family member that gains a unique, but delicious flavor thanks to be un-oaked. Elements of blackberry and rose petals, with a semi-sweet finish and a nice, fuller body. This one has a little bit of everything and is probably the most intriguing option on the menu. Very clean. Very smooth. Be sure to give it a shot.

That was no problem for us, since we were hungry and had brought a pizza with us. We figured we would sit outside, especially since it was a beautiful fall day, and enjoy our pizza with a glass, or plastic cup, of their Cabernet. Before heading out, the gentleman who greeted us invited us to go ahead and check in, so we did. Upon checking in we paid the $20 for each tasting and another $16 for two cups of Cabernet, then went outside to enjoy our pizza, wine and the view. About 15 minutes had passed and the gentleman came out to let us know it would be another few minutes while the group who had been there when we arrived wrapped up. He was kind enough to offer us a tipping off of the wine and some bits of dark chocolate. We waited another 10 minutes or so and decided to go inside to see if we could begin our tasting. We were told it would be another five minutes or so. At that point we were getting tired of waiting, the gentleman was becoming testy (we don't think at us, but more at the guy leading the tasting to the group there before us), and we were not impressed at the Cabernet we had had already, so we decided to leave. We considered trying to get a refund, but the greeter was nowhere in sight and the tour guide had evidently stepped into a break room to have a snack. So much for our guided tasting. We forfeited the $40 and left. We were looking g forward to this experience, but were very disappointed.

We came on a Sunday afternoon in November, and he was on cloud 9 the whole afternoon. We did both the main museum and the chocolate lab experience, ($78 for the three of us) and I wanted to do the chocolate tastings of chocolates from around the world, but the lab and museum were already expensive enough. I love museums and thought the museum portion was particularly well done. Very informative, well laid out and easy to follow. Lots of interesting information about Milton Hershey's life and the empire he built. The chocolate lab experience was 45 minutes and a little hokey. "Making chocolate" amounted to a quick arts and crafts project using melted milk and white chocolates, followed by a power point presentation on how chocolate is made. The museum store has a lot of fun things for purchase that I assume you can't find outside of Hershey, such as chocolate colognes. Overall we had a good time and would recommend it as a fun place to spend and afternoon with kids.

Getting to the dock and finding parking was easy. With it being at the end of summer, there wasn't a bunch of tourist parked in the parking lot. And as directed to, I got to the docking 45 minutes before departure. There were photo ops, they also allowed boarding maybe 30 prior. From boarding to the on-board service the crew was friendly and attentive. Safety was apparent, as they ensured protocols were adhered when moving the stairway away from the boat, to going over emergency procedures . The servers came by and took our drink orders. They had a full bar and a good selection of mixed drink to choose from. The drinks didn't take long to come to the table and they were actually good with a little kick to them. Within 30 of departure dinner was available in buffet setting. I don't remember what they had because the liquor kicked in and I just wanted something to put on my stomach to soak up some of the alcohol. I will say, it was flavored well and visually look appetizing. Outside of dinner being good, and the licca hitting, it was enjoyable to go out on the deck and enjoy being on the deck. I've been on carnival cruises and this was a close experience to the enjoyment of being on the deck and stairing off into the distance. On the main deck they had Connect Four for additional entertainment. There was a prop anchor for photo ops. Lastly they had Corn Hole boards with bags. There were seating benches and tables on the deck. Back inside, there was a DJ playing some good stepping music like Boots on the Ground, and some of the other updated group dance songs. It was a total vibe. Not much more in can say about my experience on the City Cruise adventure. I have no complaints and as a whole, the crew made for a dope experience. With that, I highly recommend this experience.

It was pretty open and well set up inside. We were invited to the buffet shortly after we left the dock. To my surprise, there was such a variety of food on the menu, and every single thing was delicious! I purchased a four pack drink tickets for two people when I bought my ticket and it was definitely worth it! Drinks are between 18 and 20+ dollars each on board. It was an interesting route that we took on the water. We left the dock and sailed left, then made a U-turn and sailed past the dock to the right. Then returned to the dock just as the sun was going down. Gorgeous views and a different way to see the city. A few downfalls were the lack of servers. It was hard to track down our waitress for drinks. There was lots of dripping from the air-conditioning, which was right over our table. The outside chairs need a huge upgrade. Many were ripped, torn and worn out. A really nice experience, but not something I would do again. The value for the money is just not there for me.

Lost River Caverns is a natural limestone cavern and tourist attraction located in Hellertown,…read morePennsylvania that has been forming for 250,000 years. Consisting of five chambers, the caverns were formed by the karstification or dissolving of the limestone by water. In the past, the cavern was also referred to as "Rentzheimer's Cave" or the "Lost Cave". The "Lost River", so named because the source and mouth of the river have not yet been discovered, flows through it. The temperature in the cave is consistently close to 52 °F (11 °C). The area on the surface of the cavern was a limestone quarry in the 19th century. In 1883, quarry workers ignited a black powder blast to remove limestone from the cliff face. In doing so, they discovered the entrance to the cavern. The first systematic exploration of the cavern didn't take place until three years later. In the years following the cavern's discovery, local residents found the underground spaces ideal for a variety of uses. During the late 1800s, a wooden dance floor was constructed in what is now called the "Crystal Chapel". Regular dances were held in the natural air conditioning of the cave. Irwin Gilman purchased the cave in 1929 and opened it to the public the following year. It is still owned and operated for tours by the Gilman family today. A small museum and gift shop stand above the surface of the cave entrance. From 1949 - 2009, the "Crystal Chapel" was available for weddings and other private ceremonies. Approximately 35,000 tourists explore the caverns annually. My family and I visited the Lost River Caverns this past summer while we were visiting relatives in the area. My wife and I had previously visited some natural caverns in upstate New York years ago. This was the first time that we explored caverns since we became parents. Both of our young sons loved exploring all of the various chambers. The tour was fun for the whole family. Our sons also enjoying learning about the different geological features such as stalactites, stalagmites, and fluorescent rocks. We even bought a toy miners helmet in the gift shop for our older son.
