My family and I stumbled across this gift shop in search of local items that are uniquely from Hershey, Pennsylvania. There isn't much shops that carry Non-Chocolate items in the vicinity. However, it was a nice change of pace from the Norm when we found homemade salsa, quilts, framed arts and various items that looked very authentic but they did carry a decent amount of Hershey products including; Coffee Muggs, Shot Glasses, Magnets & Keychains that pays homage to Hershey. After all, this is the Chocolate Capitol of the U.S.A At the time of our visit, there was only 1 person managing the store but she was very friendly and knowledgeable with the local area and did a great job in helping us out. The Bears have an amazing winning record. Years ago, when the Manitoba Moose (the AHL farm team of the Winnipeg Jets) was making its playoff run, it had a series against the Hershey Bears. Like the passionate hockey fan that I can be, I did a road trip from Markham to Hershey, PA. I also visited the Hershey store while I was in the city. I love Hershey's chocolate, but I was here for the game. I attended game 4 of the playoffs series. I remember speaking to a parking attendant and paying for parking. She said, "Go, Bears!" to me. She didn't realize that my vehicle had a Ontario licence plate and I was likely cheering for the opponent. I don't recall getting any snacks or drinks during the game. I do recall having a decent view of the rink and being sad that the Moose had lost against the Bears in that game. Bears fans are passionate folks. It was nice to see. One of these days, I'll need to return and take in an AHL game. I wasn't on Yelp back then and didn't take a ton of photos. I will next time. (354)

Season Ticket Holder Perspective (Section 104, Row C, Seats 1 & 2)…read more If you're going to do hockey in Hershey, you do it at the Giant Center and my seats (Section 104, Row C, 1 & 2) are chef's kiss for Hershey Bears games. Three rows off the ice means you feel every hit, hear every skate carve, and occasionally get a good "did-I-just-flinch-at-a-puck?" moment. And if you're lucky you might just get a puck! The view straight across the ice is fantastic. Now... the view down toward the far goal on the right? Yeah, no. The distortion from the glass is rough. It's like watching hockey through a funhouse mirror. You'll catch the general idea but don't expect crystal clarity unless the play comes back your way. Sound System for Bears Games: Let me be blunt... it's aggressively loud. Like "why am I being yelled at by speakers during warm-ups?" loud. If you're sensitive to sound, bring earplugs or prepare to be spiritually tackled by the decibel levels. Concerts: This is where the Giant Center gets unpredictable. Most concerts I've seen here suffer from rough acoustics... muddy sound, too much reverb, and vocals that disappear into a void. BUT Trans-Siberian Orchestra on 11/23/25? Shockingly great. Crisp, powerful, balanced. It was the rare show where the sound team actually tamed the concrete cavern. Parking: Oh boy. Getting in and out is a nightmare. It is chaos every single time. Too many lanes funneling into too few exits. Every event at Hershey Park, Hershey Stadium AND the Giant Center all fighting for the same roads. If you come here often, pack patience and maybe a snack for the car. Food & Concessions: Perfectly average venue fare, nothing amazing, definitely nothing healthy, and priced like it's made of truffles and hopes. You're paying for convenience and location, not culinary excellence. Overall: This is our local go-to venue, and I'll always show up for my Bears and the big touring acts. The energy is great, the games are a blast, and concerts can be magical when the sound behaves. But between the parking mess, inconsistent acoustics, and sensory-overload sound levels at games, it's far from perfect. Still... it's Hershey. It's home. And I'll be back in my same seats next week yelling for the Bears.

I recently participated in Georgie Lou's Retro Candy's 6th Annual Sweetheart Stroll, and while this…read moremay have been their sixth time hosting it, it was my first time even hearing about it. I immediately corrected that mistake by buying a ticket the moment I saw the event posted--and then started counting down the days. The concept alone sold me: a ticketed, adults-focused stroll through downtown Carlisle, with participating small businesses offering tastings, experiences, treats, and deals. Sweethearts of all kinds were welcome--couples, besties, gal pals--and dressing in red and pink for Valentine's vibes was strongly encouraged. Say less. Ticketing was super easy, and Georgie Lou's did a fantastic job with pre-event communication, especially via social media. One post in particular deserves a shout-out: a reminder to bring a bag to carry your treats. This is something I absolutely would not have thought about until I was awkwardly shoving sweet treats into my coat pockets. I came prepared with a small reusable shopping bag (pink, obviously), and by the end of the stroll it was completely full of sweets, trinkets, and purchases. Meanwhile, others were struggling with overflowing pockets alongside gloves, hats, maps, and life regrets. Lesson learned. Excellent advice! I found parking around 1pm and headed to Georgie Lou's to check in and grab my materials. The staff were incredibly friendly, checked my name off the list, and sent me on my way with a Map of Hearts, a button identifying me as an official 2026 Sweetheart Stroller, and a small sweet treat to kick things off. I also took some time to explore the shop itself--my first visit--and wow! They have managed to pack an impressive amount of nostalgic goodness into a small space. Total blasts from the past, plus candies I'd never seen before. Super fun shop! From there, the stroll itself was a delight. Georgie Lou's clearly put a lot of care into coordinating participating businesses, and it showed. Most spots offered sweet treats, discounts, or special offerings, but every single business was warm, welcoming, and happy to have folks stopping in. Even though I've done a few downtown Carlisle walk-style events before, I still discovered shops I'd never been in--and every purchase I made that day was from a place I was visiting for the first time. That alone feels like a win. Overall, this was a fantastic way to spend a few hours on a very chilly January Saturday. It got me out of the house, walking downtown, supporting local businesses, and discovering gems I usually zoom past while driving from Point A to Point B. I had such a great time that I jokingly asked if I could pre-register for next year... apparently that's "not a thing yet." Fine. I drove down from Markham to attend an American Hockey League (AHL) playoff game between the Hershey Bears and the Manitoba Moose. Giant Center, where the Bears Play, is at Hersheypark, as is Hershey's Chocolate World. The Hershey Company owns everything at Hersheypark. I find it neat that the entire town is named after a company known for candy and chocolate. It didn't matter where you were in Hershey. You could smell the chocolate! I am certain that I got into visiting Hershey stores in my travels through this first visit to Hershey, PA. My visits to the stores in Niagara Falls (Canada), Las Vegas, and Shanghai come to mind. The flagship store is obviously in Hershey, PA. It was an amazing experience. The cool part was picking up a bunch of Hershey's Chipits in butterscotch. It was one of those hard-to-find flavours locally back then. It was so easy snatching a few bags for baking cookies and more. I think of chocolate bars when the Hershey's name is mentioned. The classic milk chocolate comes to mind. I like that it has expanded its flavour profile to include cookies and cream, dark chocolate, birthday cake, and almonds. At Easter, I do like a bag of Eggies. I like that you can get dark and milk chocolate varieties, with both having a candy coating on the outside of each Eggie (or is it Eggy for the singular?). I like Hershey's Kisses. The original milk chocolate is classic. I love candy cane Kisses that hit stores just before Christmas. The cookies and cream ones are also yummy. Besides the Hershey's brand, the Hershey's company also has these brands under its product umbrella: - Reese's - Chipits - Jolly Rancher - Oh Henry! - Twizzlers - Whoppers - Glosette - Skor - Brookside - Ice Breakers - Eat More - York I probably consume more Reese's, Jolly Rancher, Oh Henry!, Whoppers, and Ice Breakers on this list. So good! Hershey's Canada has its headquarters in Mississauga, near where I work. Sadly, it doesn't smell like chocolate whenever I'm driving to work. It should! They make some of the world's favorite candies and confections. Their products range from the basic chocolate bar to hard candies (Jolly Ranchers) with all kinds of candies in between. They also make chocolate and other flavors syrups too! There is a lot of goodness that comes from this company! My personal favorite is the Krackle Bar!!!

I remembered to get a souvenir for a co-worker who happened to be collecting tourist souvenirs and living vicariously thru me and my various travel throughout the years I've been traveling. And so, I noticed this little shop, which isn't small but not large either. It has a bit of everything here crammed together. From home decorating to tourist key chains and similar, to a special section for local sports teams in Pennsylvania. It has it all. With that said, I arrived here after passing thru TSA security on my way out of Harrisburg, PA flying west towards home on a Sunday morning. Thankfully this souvenir shop was open at like 5:30am and a few people were browsing in the store when I came in. I probably spent about 10 minutes or so browsing and looking around before committing to buy a metal keychain for my coworker. It was a nice piece that showed Pennsylvania in a nutshell without mentioning any major city within Pennsylvania. It was a nice way to look at the whole state without mentioning names. For the most part, though, it was an interesting way to spend time at the airport while supporting local business by buying souvenirs for my trip. The overall experience here at Perfectly Pennsylvania was fairly nice. The thing that stood out to me most about the experience here was the fact that I had a interesting experience talking with the lady at the counter. It was one of those things where I was looking for a tourist thing for a coworker and the conversation led to where I was from. I said, Hawaii. Then she proceeded to ask me about where she's been, and where she should go on her next trip to Hawaii. It was an interesting and unique experience to say the least. I ended up, thanking her for the conversation and exited the store with my purchase, the prices here were not at all expensive, depending on what you're buying. I imagine those sports jersey and other sports memorabilia in the shop come in the higher than normal price because they're in the airport. But everything else seems nice to purchase, but I did not feel the need to buy it and felt the need to be taken away my house with this stuff from Pennsylvania. But the keychains for trays are good and they self reasonably well for anyone and everyone who are flying in and out of Harrisburg international airport on any given day. The service here was nice and friendly, as mentioned before. I assume that lady behind the counter is the owner the person I was talking to. And so, if you ever decide you want it sooner rather than later, I need a souvenir from Pennsylvania and are flying in and out of Harrisburg international airport, consider checking this store, past TSA security. It might be the best time you have had at the airport in a while. I know I did at 5:30am on Sunday morning. Perfectly Pennsylvania store is located in the Harrisburg international Airport, near the Gates, past TSA security. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. The only way here is if you're a traveler flying in and out of Harrisburg international airport or someone who works at the airport. No general public access here, which kind of limits people. Although you can find a lot of these items anywhere in Pennsylvania, why not shop here? Although there is a parking lot for anybody who uses the parking garage on any given day, that's your best bet for parking if anything. Are you sure that the city of Harrisburg has a public transportation system that connects to the airport to anywhere in the city of Harrisburg. So if you need to get into the airport to fly in or out, consider picking me up a souvenir here at Perfectly Pennsylvania for your travels in and out of central Pennsylvania. Never thought I'd fly here to Harrisburg, but here I was. And a nice souvenir from Perfectly Pennsylvania provides that keepsake.
