My sweet two year old was attacked by another dog while I was thousands of miles away. The owner, Kimberly, told me over the phone that I was being "irrational" and "hysterical." To this day, I do not have anything in writing about the incident. I have requested video footage of what happened to my dog - haven't received a thing. Do not ever trust this place with your dogs. The place is essentially a bunch of kids watching over them. They do not have credentials of any kind. Horrible!

However , they must've gone super corporate or something because the pricing has got crazy. I took my dog in yesterday for an anal gland expression, a $75 procedure at most. They added on 2 medications and a steroid shot the vet stated was necessary so okay fine. The initial cost of everything they showed me was over $400!!! Absolutely crazy. I thought it was higher because my dog usually has to be sedated , they were able to do it without sedation though and the price remained the same. When everything was said and done I walked out paying almost $500 for a basic anal gland expression procedure. They charge an $100 exam fee everytime you come in which I understand but my dog is never examined during the consult with the vet there so it seems high for an "exam" . By the time I arrived he was done and the heavy set girl at the counter asked if I would like to leave a tip and I asked for what he had been there for four hours at that point and when he came out it was obvious that he was in distress not having to go potty the entire time he was there. Our appointment was today at 10:00 AM, we were held up by morning traffic and when we arrive I took him for a short walk to relieve himself. When we walk in I was not met with a greeting but was asked if this was COWBOY and I acknowledged that he was. I was then hit with a comment that the rules stipulate the there is only a fifteen minute grace period and that she need to check with the groomer before she could accept my dog. Yes it was the same heavy set gal. I have been coming here for years and have spent 1,000's of dollars here and now I have to be explained what the rules are even though I have never had any type of problem in the past. I guess that there is a new sheriff in town and I need to learn my place. I do not know who owns this place but want to make it clear that I am certainly not going to be abused by a dog groomer receptionis. you can look up my account to see who I am and my promise is that I will not spend another nickel at Zuri as long as this individual works there. Authority is a privilege and should not be given to individuals that are not responsible or mature enough to understand how it is to be used. In this case this person feels she is entitled to chase customers away. If you feel that is the proper way to use it I do not think that you will be in business much longer. Remember dog groomers are paid for with discretion art funds and in the case of a bad economy or poor service dry up pretty fast. Do yourself a favor and eliminate this problem as soon as you can. I would give my rating a minus number if I could.

Kohl loved his two weeks with Ela, and she was great about sending daily updates and communicating regularly. Kohl came back 1000 times better on his leash and made major progress on the laundry list of things I asked Ela to work on. Her video updates help train dog owners so that clients can maintain her methods once their fur babies return home. This is the essential part of training - training must continue in the home as well! The key for Finn was taking the tools from class and implementing/reinforcing them on walks, at the dog park, outdoor shopping malls, or just around the house.
