Unfortunately, I had to edit my drafted five star review down to a four star review because I feel like I was bait and switched. We are relatively new to OC Pup Scouts starting in Dec 2025, and have gone through the temperament assessment and puppy training, but now that we've "graduated" to the pack walks, they've changed their prices and increased them 10%. Seemingly nominal, but this should have been disclosed or at least acknowledged upfront when asking about the program and pricing. The walkers and admin have been great, and my pup seems to really enjoy the walks. It's just feels a little icky that they probably knew about the price increase and conveniently left it out when vetting the business. Maybe I just had unlucky timing with it, because they did say this price increase was the "first in years". I get it, cost of living goes up. I just wish they had been honest and upfront about it (or at least honor their quoted pricing for another quarter or two), hence the removal of a star. I was looking for a service where my pup could safely interact and socialize with other dogs, not necessarily for the walk itself, so I found what I thought would be a good pick in OC Pup Scouts. The pack walk services are great. The handlers all seem friendly and genuinely nice people. They will pick up your pup from your chosen location and drive them in a van to a park where they embark on an hour long walk at a time. I especially love that they provide you an update/pictures of their walks. The pups all seem to enjoy their time together. There have been a few last minute schedule changes that range from a few minutes to an hour delay, but they've been pretty consistent about communicating these. This is also to be expected when your clients are... well dogs, but I only mention it to warn others to be flexible. Overall, I'm satisfied with the services rendered. I am happy I found OC Pup Scouts, and would be happy to recommend them for their pack walks. Hoping that the prices remain stable for the foreseeable future, and they don't pull a Spotify and jack them up every year. read more

This is my second time using this company, and I absolutely love it! My groomer, Kaitlynn, is amazing she's so kind and gentle with my puppy. He's 7 months old now and had his first groom with her at 5 months. She's incredibly patient and understanding, which means a lot to me as a pet parent. The prices are a bit on the higher side for me personally, but it's 100% worth it for the peace of mind I get knowing my pup is in great hands. Thank you so much, Kaitlynn! I'll definitely keep booking with your grooming services! read more

Let me also provide some context. Catalina came in and stated that she read my notes and understood the dogs were a flight risk . I also put flight risk tags on both leashes. My notes also stated I wanted their leashes in a figure 8 over their nose. Which she seemed to not read that part. It was MY decision to put the dogs in the front seat after she let one run loose because I was worried for their safety. My dogs, which you determined had too much anxiety for pack walks, are pack walking happily and confidently with an experienced private walker who works with Cesar Milan. If anyone wants her number, I would be happy to pass it along. read more

OC Pup Scouts is amazing! My dog loves going on there half the group locks, and when I have a long day, the full day outings. Pup Scouts were so thoughtful in helping my dog Astrid get over her anxiety and stress about being around new and bigger dogs and let her ride in the front seat the first day. By the end of the day, she was in back with her new besties. At first I thought I should fine just a solo walk, because it would be less expensive and there wouldn't be other dogs. But dogs are social creatures and they really do need this interaction. I think of it like spending my dog on a field trip with her friends. She loves it! And I have never had an issue with them coming in and out of my place. Nothing has ever been moved touched looked through etc. I feel completely safe with them entering my home when I'm gone and with my dog. Also, they've taken her out in the rain. Who does that?! Pic is below. read more

Our pup has been a member of the OC Pup Scouts since 2020. He struggled quite a bit on a leash, and his trainer recommended pack walks to help correct his bad behavior and build his confidence. I'm so happy that we found the Pup Scouts. The pack leaders are knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly they love our dog like their own. It's been a great way for our dog to build confidence and get extra exercise each day. read more

I highly recommend OC Pup Scouts as a convenient and reliable way to socialize and exercise your dog and view them as an integral part of our doggie support system. Our standard poodle puppy (now 1 year old) has been going on weekly walks since he was about 4 months old and loves it. The pack leaders gave gentle guidance and patience to him along the way as he learned how to go with the pack. I have enjoyed seeing my dog's confidence grow over time through this program. Thank you, OC Pup Scouts and all of the fabulous pack leaders who have contributed to Wyatt's development and provided a safe outlet for his energy! read more

Our pup Rigby has been walking with OC Pup Scouts for over a year now. Our fearful, anxious boy has grown in confidence and his leash manners have improved as well since joining the pack. Every walker that has worked with Rigby has been enthusiastic about their job and is patient and loving. We have peace of mind that Rigby is not only getting healthy exercise but is also doing so within a fun, safe environment. At the end of the walk, the walker spoils you with pics of your pup and his pack..so you can see for yourself how your pup was enjoying his walk! We have utilized their training as well. Their trainer helped us to understand Rigby's behaviors and gave us skills to work with him. Since then we are more confident with Rigby and enjoy our boy even more. Lastly the owners at OC Pup Scouts believe In building community and periodically coordinate dog friendly events. These events are ways to connect with other dog families within our local area and connect you to other local small businesses in the community. Finding OC Pup Scouts has been a gift for our family...we love that our boy can't wait to jump in the van and join the gang on his walk...give them a try, your dog will be hooked after one walk! read more

I have so many wonderful things to say about OC Pup Scouts and the fabulous staff of dog walkers they employ! We've been using them for over 6 months now as I needed some mid-week help with my pooch and he really needed to get more comfortable with other dogs as he's very anxious, nervous and intimidated with other dogs, due to him being attacked twice. Over the course of this time, he became more & more comfortable with his pack walks and the staff is always updating me with how much his temperament has improved. The service has provided me with very punctual pick up times, no lapse in scheduling, consistent scheduling and communications via their app and overall peace of mind knowing my dog is being well cared for at all times. Such a great investment & time savings all around! read more

When others show love for your Dog (who you love and consider your family member), it means a LOT. The dog walkers that work at OC Pup Scouts really love their dog clients, and their people! I'm unable to walk my standard poodle, and I love it when he is so happy to greet Katrina, or Shaylene, and grinning when they send photos during the walk, and most of all...my big energetic goofy dog comes home Happy, tongue out and tired!!! Worth every penny!! Highly recommend. read more

My pup absolutely loves pupscouts! It's worth the price for us to know he's out having fun with someone we trust while we're at work. They are so great at communication and he's always exhausted by the time he comes back home. Plus, the pictures are priceless. Scheduling is super easy through the online portal. You can change up to two days in advance. There's been once or twice I had a surprise scheduling issue and Pupscouts was so accommodating and kind while helping me out. I really appreciate that they vet all their clients with a trial walk. I know my dog is in good hands with other good dogs! read more

I absolutely love this dog walking service. I can tell that my dog, Luna Bear, has a great time walking with the walkers and seeing her friends. I thought that this would be a great way for Luna to gain social skills and boy, did she! I've seen a significant improvement when it comes to walking etiquette. She no longer tugs and barks at nearby dogs. I can tell she had a great time, because she's so out of breath coming home and won't stop smiling. The cherry on top is getting photos of her after every walk! Perfect for the gram and memories. Can't wait to use their other services! read more

OUR PUP DIED UNDER THEIR CARE September 27, 2022 we lost our beautiful healthy 2 year old Bordeaux to heat stroke under their care. He was schedule for an 8am pick up for 45 min walk with our frenchie. 2 hours and 45 minutes later we received a call from the walker that he was down having a heat stroke. I advised her to call 911 and I arrived 7 minutes later. I found him in direct sunlight along the street gutter/ curb in front of the van panting and over heated. His head was down in the gutter with no management of airway or assistance. His cinch leash still tight around his neck. No effort to move him out of the sun. The walker did not seem frantic or crying or even flustered. I immediately asked if she asked for any help - she said no . I ran and knocked on the neighbors doors and 4 neighbors came to assist - cool towels to place under his arms and belly. We moved him into my car and In less than 10 min of my arrival I was able to get him to an emergency vets front door which was less than 1 mile away-! LESS THAN 1 MILE ! ...He arrived at the vet with a 108.9 temp. Every effort was made to help Jango but unfortunately fell unconscious with signs of DIC (a clotting cascade ) were taking in effect . 'he was exposed just too long ' was the vets comments . We were forced to allow our beautiful pup to cross rainbow bridge . Ocpupscouts failed on so many levels. I asked upon arrival how long he had been down ' 'since 10:10 /10:15 was her comment . I got the call approx 10:45. He layed in direct sunlight for likely much longer directly. Jango likely attempted to find shade or lay down multiple times prior to his collapse . No attempt to receive help to move him out of the sun. Multiple neighboring homes were less than 15 feet away- not one knock. Not one 'I need help'. No attempt to provide him basic first aid. No action plan. They failed to call us at any point prior to notify us of a concern or to come pick him up if he wasn't doing well. We lived one mile from the beach - they took him and our frenchie inland that day - almost 10-12 miles. This company e advertises per their words 'extensively trained dog handlers' - a company that offers overnight stays , obedience training .. . All that was done in this moment was watch him suffer...no basic first aid, not even any basic care . To any current client - Ask your self this - if my pet had a medical emergency in their care what would happen? A beautiful healthy 2 year old gorgeous DDB left our home that morning never to return. Ocpupscouts countlessly posts how safe your dog is and how their wellness is their priority. They state they have protocols in place. Their staff is trained . Jango is proof that that is not the case. Sadly the company has not mentioned one thing regarding this event - in fact the walker was walking pups the rest of that week and continues to work for that company. Jangos death was 100% preventable on so many levels - and at so many points... and frankly any course of action from the company could have changed this outcome. This review is for awareness, This review is to hopefully help prevent this happening to another pup . We had Jango for 12 months - he had so much more life to live and memmories to have . He was one of the most stunning DDBs this breed has seen - not only physically but personality wise- the gentlest of giants and the biggest goofball. Our frenchie misses his buddy. He was family . We miss him tremendously. I will never forget the look he gave me just before he lost conciousness .. I will never .. such horrible senseless suffering for such a beautiful animal that could have been prevented on so many levels by this company . read more

A well deserved review! My Belgian Malinois, Mason, has been attending hour long pack walks 2-3x a week for 3 weeks now and I am in awe at how much better he is at home, JUST from the walks with our pack leaders. So far I have met Sammy, Hayley, and Katrina and they have been the best part of the pup scouts. As im sure each pack leader is, they have been so sweet and patient with my crazy guy. Katrina has been our main pack leader thus far, and I trust her completely with Mason. Trust me, when Mason started with the pup scouts he was insane, now hes a little less but his reports have gotten better each week. The report cards at the end of the walk are so awesome to see. They provide a brief summary of your pets day, along with the cutest pictures of them and their pack friends. Ugh, i am simply in love with the standards of OC Pup Scouts. Thank you for creating the BEST dog company out there and having so much love for your families! read more

Maddux is coming up on his 6th month with OC Pup Scouts and he officially looks forward to his weekly pack walk. Evan the trainer is phenomenal. My dog was starting to get aggressive with food, more anxious on walks, and I was worried for the future. It was getting to the point where I had to use a broom and stand on a table to get the wrapper away for fear he might bite me. Evan in one session showed me basic tools to begin with. By the second session of working on his food aggression, I now can remove the wrapper without any threat. Its amazing! We have accomplished so much in our sessions. read more

While I really liked everyone one I met who came over to walk our dog, I'm a little bummed as I just got a message that they can only take dogs now who are booked on a weekly basis. A weekly basis gets very expensive and doesn't fit our needs. Once a month, sure, but not once a week. Anyway, they do a nice job and hire nice people but I wish they would reevaluate this new rule. I'd even consider days when they are already in my neighborhood just so it wasn't an extra trip for them. read more
