Stephen is fantastic! He is friendly, caring, responsible and dependable. We went out of town on a family vacation and needed a pet sitter. We have never all together, as a family, left the dogs home wile we went on vacation. Stephen kept in touch with us daily, while we were away. He took the dogs for walks twice a day and sent videos of our happy pups. Our dogs were calm and happy when we came home. Heather and her employee Stephen have done a wonderful job taking care of our two dogs. It's so nice to be able to go away on vacation or a business trip and know your pets are well cared for in your own home. Also, Heather is always reliable and quick to send a status update via text when we're away. This service is so much easier than using a kennel and our pets are much happier with their own beds and routines. Four Paws OC is a wonderful service! We were going out of town for the holidays and didn't want to board our cat because she gets sick every time and had just gotten over a UTI. Heather came over before our trip and met the cat, learned about her medical history, play habits, eating habits, and likes/dislikes. She even knew what to look for in case the UTI came back! While we were away, we got updates via text message after every visit and came home to a happy cat with no issues. We will definitely be calling them next time we go out of town! read more

Heather and her team are the platinum standard if you desire the best in quality and compassion for your pets. Heather and team take amazing care of my sweet pooches (past and present) and I wouldn't be able to perform my job or travel without the peace of mind they give me. They take care of your pets as if they were their own... seriously. I use Four Paws OC for daily walks, pet sitting, check in visits (meds, companionship, etc.) and the occasional trip to the vet when I'm stuck out of town. While pet taxi service isn't a service they offer, they did it to help me out of an unplanned situation when I could not get back home in time to get my dog to the vet. When traveling we used to have a family member come stay at our house for security purposes and so that our cats received the kind of attention we wanted...then I found Heather! When we met with Heather for the first time we knew it was the perfect setup, she spends time with our cats and gives them lots of TLC, cleans the potty because they are poop machines!, and makes sure our house is secure never allowing mail or packages to pile up, which we really appreciate. We moved to Laguna Niguel a year ago and weren't excited about having to find a new Dogsitter - opening up your house to someone new, understanding the nuances of your home & your pet etc. When we met Heather the owner, we knew right away she would be good for our two high maintenance shih tzu's (and truth be told we are a bit high maintenance as well). She listened to all our little concerns & rules. Because she's so popular she has other part-time dogs sitters. Right away that concerned us, because we were sold on her - we didn't know her workers. However, I have to say we absolutely love Stephen - he is just as great as Heather. It's invaluable to have people you trust to care for your pets. After HORRIFIC experiences with two other dog walking companies, we were so incredibly lucky to find Four Paws OC. I cannot begin to explain how grateful we are for the owner Heather and her manager Stephen. I didn't think we would ever be able to trust leaving our pups in the care of anyone after the experiences we had with two previous walkers who traumatized our poor pups, but Four Paws OC restored our faith that honest, responsible, caring dog walking companies do indeed exist still. Heather was quick to respond to us when we initially reached out to inquire about services. She provided us with all the relevant info we would need and promptly scheduled her manager, Stephen, to come out and meet our fur babies. We knew we loved Stephen the minute he walked through our door to conduct an initial meet and greet with our two dogs. He was professional, courteous, and, as sappy as it sounds, it warmed my heart to see the sweet way in which he interacted with our pups. After learning our lesson the hard way with past walkers, we had very specific requests to make in terms of how harnesses were put on, where the dogs were walked outside, how long their walks lasted, how much play/cuddle time they received inside after their walk, etc etc etc. Stephen took all of my feedback in stride and has continually exceeded our expectations. Unlike other walkers who might just want to get the walk over with and shove your pets back in their crate or spend the entire visit on their phone, our pups get greeted warmly, they go on a walk to do their business and get some exercise (on hot days Stephen even takes the pups' water bottle along so they can stop to hydrate mid-walk), they get cool down/cuddle time inside afterwards, and they get brushed out or their paws wiped before going back in their crate with a treat. They get the royal treatment! We treat our pups like our children, and we are always looking for walkers who will treat our dogs with the same love and kindness that they would show their own fur family member. Both Stephen and Heather walked our dogs 3-4 times per day while we were away on an extended vacation and they have been providing mid-day walks every week day since. We are kept in the loop with daily text updates and Heather is always easy to reach if we need to schedule additional walks or tweak our schedule. The bonus? Our pups LOVE both Heather and Stephen. What more could you ask for? I often hear people making the comparison between true "dog people" and people who just have dogs. Four Paws OC are truly dog people and they will treat your fur babies like family. I would not trust our pups with anyone else. read more

Four Paws OC is the best dog walking and pet sitting service in the area. Heather is so concientious. She is so intuitive and gentle with my malti-poo, Ginger. Every morning when I leave for work, I do so with confidence that Heather will take great care of her when she comes for her daily visits. I even say, "Auntie Heather will be here to see you today!", and Ginger's eyes light up. I know, I'm a dork. I would recommend Heather for overnights as well. I have two big dogs, one that is dog aggressive and the other that is elderly with arthritis. I wouldn't trust them to anyone but Heather and her crew! Heather and Shannon are ROCK STARS!!! I know that my kids (1 lab and 2 yorkies) are safe, loved, and relaxed when I am gone. I received texts every time Shannon came to the house with details on each dog, their walk, and their demeanor. My two yorkies are 14 and 12 years old and get very anxious when I am not around. Four Paws put my mind at ease. I have "difficult" dogs that I hate to leave. One is nervous and sometimes aggressive when I'm not around, and the other is big and barks a lot until she gets to know people. So I really needed someone with experience and patience who didn't mind having to wait for the dogs to get to know them before interacting with them more, but in the meantime, making sure they were taken care of, fed, and loved even in their nervous state. Heather and her team did all of that and more. My dog who is sometimes aggressive and usually stays in his crate when dog sitters are around was out of his crate and sitting in Heather's lap after just a few days. We're super delinquent sharing our thoughts about Heather and Four Paws OC but better late than never! We sought out Four Paws OC when our Coal was getting up in years and we didn't want to leave him home alone for long stretches. Heather (and later also Shannon) came daily to take Coal for a walk and to just hang out with him for a bit. How he loved his walks! Heather and Shannon were both so great with Coal -- he looked forward to his time with them everyday. We trusted them in our home and with our best buddy everyday -- always reliable and always professional. Great communicators too as we received daily text messages updating us after each walk. We also used Four Paws OC a couple times to dog sit Coal while we were away. Heather was always very accommodating -- doing what she could to make sure Coal was well taken care of while we were away. When Coal's health started deteriorating, the walks eventually became shorter but the time they spent with Coal was always the same. It was very comforting for us that he received such love and attention from them! We miss Coal everyday but there's no doubt we'll be calling Four Paws again when we're ready to expand our family once more. Thank you Four Paws OC! read more
