Ryan is an amazing trainer and not only for dogs but for the owners ! He teaches the owners how to train most trainers don't give the secrets so they can make more money! Ryan is all about the benefits for the dog and their handler . I have hired Ryan for my personal dogs as well as for my clients dogs . If you want results that work without spending thousands of dollars you clicked on the right place !

Ryan and my puppy at our first training session. We were very happy with the results!

We recently hired Ryan Furlet to help us with recall for our Black/Tan Coonhound Ellie Mae. Right from the start we could see he had a kind spirit. He took his time to let our dog feel comfortable around him while he discussed our needs with her and her personality traits. We were so impressed with his knowledge of dogs and training skills. Our first two hour training session resulted in amazing improvements! And now she walks gently by our side without the use of the Halti harness. He not only worked with our dog but also educated us on applying his training techniques at home. Ellie Mae continues to respond and improve daily with us, using his training protocol. We couldn't be more please and so grateful to Ryan. My husband and I highly recommend Ryan Furlet (K9 Guru)

Been turned away twice by vet for cutting her nails. Ryan did it first visit.

Ryan was great and helped me teach my pup how to walk on a sprenger collar. She is now able to walk with her siblings on walks and we are able to cut her nails now which was VERY difficult before. I was turned away twice at the vet because my baby would scream and bite at vet techs before they even touched her! I love Ryan's philosophies on life and dogs. Very nice guy with a nice energy. I can see why he is able to work so well with dogs. Firm but gentle. Thank you Ryan!

I had my first training with Ryan yesterday for my recently rescued 1y/o pitty. We had a 2 hour session and started out a bit rocky but by the end of the session my dog and I were night and day difference.... Kota wasn't pulling/yanking me while walking, I was in full control. He wasn't growling or staring down every guy that walked by, he was yawning and uninterested or checked in with me. I was able to have him on a 30' leash and walk away, and he stayed!!!! But what was the most beneficial amazing part of our training session was.....RYAN. He helped me remember I deserve to have boundaries, he helped me stay centered & breathe/not be so tense, reminded me of my worth & my dog shouldn't be looking at other ladies too long lol... he was hard when he needed to be, and consistent so I am able to remember and enforce the training on my own. Next week he's coming to my house for a 2 hour session. I'm planning on having my 7y/o son join who is not a fan of our newest addition.... needless to say, Kota has some not so great home behaviors that I can't wait for Ryan to guide me on the proper ways to correct There's no way you and your dog wouldn't benefit from Ryan the K-9 Guru, he's highly experienced, passionate and such a genuine soul. We met Ryan 8 years ago when we needed training for our Rottweiler Zena. Fast forward, we re-engaged with Ryan to help training our new Rottweiler puppy Bruno. We had the first training at the house for 2 hours and learned so much. It was well worth the on home up-charge. Ryan is knowledgeable, patient and explains things simply. Second training was at his location with granddaughter and Bruno. Bruno is 4 months and 45 lbs, gd is 55 lbs. Ryan explained to her how to lead Bruno on a lease and gave her encouragement. Told her the corrections to behavior and she corrected Bruno. We walk down Del Mar with crowds and other dogs without an issue. Highly recommend Ryan!

10/10 We have been working with Ryan for over a year now and cannot recommend him enough. He is not phased by any situation and always has a solution that WORKS. His calm and relaxed demeanor instantly makes you and your dog feel at ease. A big difference between Ryan and other trainers who we have worked with is that Ryan doesn't try to upsell you on multiple sessions. He teaches you strategies during your first session that you can then use in your everyday life with your dog. We book time with Ryan every few months for "tune ups" as new challenges arise with our Aussie. He is a natural. I do not trust anyone else with my dog and neither should you!

Ryan is AMAZING. He knows the specific way each breed needs to be handled, and connects with them. A few years ago, Belle went through his puppy and advanced programs. Now she's a registered Therapy Dog (to visit hospital patients) and my Service Dog. I walk her off-leash in our neighborhood. She obeys both voice and hand signals, won't go in the street without permission (even when chasing a squirrel), and walks at heel in the street without command. I credit a lot of this to Ryan's early teachings. Funny, I only came across this page because I'm looking for Ryan for further training.

Ryan is awesome! He cares, also very knowledgeable & patient! You can tell right away when you & your dog meet Ryan. Ryan speaks dog, understands dogs behaviors, and is very kind! We have a rescue dog who had lots of issues, and Ryan helped us bring out the sweet dog, that our dog Soldier was all the time, but it was hidden because of his past trauma. I would definitely recommend Ryan as your dog trainer...great results!! Donna C.

I adopted a senior Great Dane whom which I didn't have much history about. I was in over my head as she was my first dog and she was incredibly underweight and was obviously neglected for some time. Within the first week I was getting complaints from neighbors due to her excessive barking (separation anxiety) and she was showing aggression to other dogs when I walked her. Being that she was 100lbs (still incredibly underweight for her breed) and I was inexperienced, I reached out to local rescues and dog lovers for help and ALL OF THEM suggested I call Ryan. He came to my home for a private session and he was the biggest blessing I could've wished for. For the first hour of the 2 hour session all he did was sit and observe (me and her). The second hour was dedicated to teaching me hands on training on how to help her. The education I got during that first home session was incredibly enlightening, shocking, and educational. Her separation anxiety was literally resolved during that first session and I saw her behavior change overnight when I implemented Ryan's suggestions. I booked a second session to address the dog aggression and his methods and training during that session (he forced/encouraged me to meet him at the SC beach trail much to my resistance) literally cured her and gave me the tools I needed to help rehabilitate her. Because of Ryan my sweet girl got to live another 3 years completely relaxed and anxiety free. I don't understand the negative reviews here, if they're due to him being late or not showing up then please chalk it up to an amazing dog trainer that maybe just isn't the best business person. If you care about your dog and their well being, then you'll hire Ryan. He's the best of the best. ***After reading other reviews I want to add that I asked Ryan if I needed a prong collar and he said 'no, you wouldn't know how to use it properly without hurting her'. He told me I simply needed to learn how to use a proper slip lead and that's what he showed me how to use and he even sent me a link on the proper leash to buy. Once she was healthy she was 130lbs and I was a 30 year old girl and first time dog owner and I NEVER had an issue with her after training with Ryan.

I'd worked with two trainers, including a 3 week board-and-train program ($5,000 investment), followed every instruction, and practiced daily, yet I didn't see changes. I was managing the behavior without ever understanding what was causing it. That changed within the first two hours with Brad. He didn't start with commands or tools. Instead, he focused on the psychology behind Sunny's reactions: what was driving them, what was reinforcing them, and what I was unknowingly communicating. No one had ever explained it that clearly. That was the turning point. For the first time, I wasn't guessing or correcting blindly. I could see what Sunny was experiencing in real time and understand how my timing, energy, and responses were shaping his behavior. That clarity changed everything. Walks feel completely different now. Sunny is no longer pulls since my training with Brad, the reactive outbursts are gone, and the experience itself is calm. I'm no longer bracing for problems because I know how to prevent them. I am SO appreciative!

A couple of these weren't terribly serious, but we felt we weren't "in charge" anymore, that our dog wasn't getting the message from whatever we were doing, and that if we didn't do something different, it could really get out of control. Brad really helped us with this, where traditional "training" wasn't working. We have two or three things we're working on with our girl, but here is the most dramatic change we had with one issue. She is very food motivated, and would beg from us at the table whenever we sat down to eat, and would be underfoot in the kitchen during prep. She got overly excited and would not settle and lie down. Brad explained we weren't communicating well with her on a dog level, so to get that communication kicked in to gear, he actually started our session not with this problem, but with making sure she would not dash out the front door when it was opened. This was to establish that we were in charge and what was expected of her. What he showed us how to do worked like you wouldn't believe. It was like a light bulb went off for our girl. What we did affected everything after that. It wasn't about dashing out the door, it wasn't about begging for food, it was about knowing what was acceptable in our pack and to look to us for direction. That night, at dinner, she went to her "spot" with a simple direction and was relaxed during our entire meal. She can now be directed to her spot and will stay quietly any time we need her to. Best of all, she seems truly relieved that she doesn't have to be in charge and that WE are. She is much more relaxed around so many other things. It gave us so much more confidence! I didn't think that what Brad taught us would work. It's quite counterintuitive. But trust me, it worked like magic. This is not dog training - it's communication with your dog. Brad answers all your questions, doesn't waste your time, shows you clearly and directly what will work. We're so thankful we found him!

They have worked with thousands of dogs with so many years experience under their belts. Most importantly they truly care and understand each dog!! They know all of my dog, Billie's quirks, both good and bad, and know exactly how to set her up for success. When we first adopted Billie she had no dog social skills. She either was too excited over dogs she likes, or would react VERY poorly to dogs she didn't like. She wasn't just leash reactive, she just didn't know social skills. Packwalks have transformed Billie as she learned to listen to the pack leader and be around other dogs in a structured and calm environment. Just this last week Camila and Kelly took Billie to the beach for an off leash play, something we have never done with her ourselves since she can be a bit unpredictable. To set Billie up for success, Camila had specially curated a group of good dogs to bring with Billie, did a pack walk to start to establish the pack mentality, and practiced recall before she let Billie off! All the planning shows how much they care and want the dogs to have the absolute best experience. I got many pictures and videos of the fun times Billie had and it turns out she even went swimming (when she usually wouldn't), and this shows how much she trusts both Camila and Kelly!!!
