Employees are very knowledgeable on every piece of equipment. Extremely disappointed with ATI Physical Therapy and their billing practices…read more Before I even scheduled my first appointment, I specifically asked them to verify my insurance and tell me exactly what my cost would be per visit. I was told it would be approximately $60. I intentionally waited several days for them to verify my insurance information before moving forward because I wanted to know the cost upfront. At my first visit, I was charged $65. It was $5 more than quoted, but I didn't make an issue of it. Now, approximately 25 days later, ATI is trying to charge me an ADDITIONAL $95 for that same visit. That brings the total cost of ONE physical therapy visit to $160. When I called customer service, I was told the original $65 was supposedly only a "deposit." That was NEVER explained to me. Had I been told that $65 was simply a deposit and that I could later be billed another $95, I would have never agreed to the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I specifically asked for the cost BEFORE scheduling and gave them time to verify everything with my insurance. Their customer service experience only made the situation worse. Patients deserve transparency about what they are agreeing to pay. Quoting someone around $60, collecting $65 at the appointment, and then nearly a month later billing another $95 is completely unacceptable to me. I would absolutely NOT recommend ATI Physical Therapy based on my experience. If you decide to use them, I strongly recommend getting your expected TOTAL cost in writing before receiving any services.

I was disappointed with my experience. I called ahead to ask if I could come early for bloodwork…read moreand was told that would be fine, and that if my provider needed additional labs after the appointment, I could return for those. Based on this, I arranged childcare and planned my day accordingly. When I arrived, I was told the bloodwork had not been ordered and that the office preferred to wait until after the appointment in case additional labs were needed, to avoid a second trip. This was the opposite of what I had been told on the phone and ultimately resulted in the additional trip I was trying to avoid. Had I been told it was simply an oversight, I would have understood. Instead, it was framed as being for my convenience, despite the prior instructions I had received. I cancelled my appointment and will be looking for a new PCP. I hope the office can improve communication so patients receive consistent and accurate information. Edited to add: I am an established patient with this office. While it had been a few years since my last visit, I had previously been seen here and the office assisted me with updating my name. I wanted to clarify this because the response from the office suggests otherwise.

I can't believe that FOUR years to the day, was my last visit to Ahwatukee Ankle and Foot Center…read more It has flown by. Visited again today for a new foot issue so wanted to share more. Filled out the customary paperwork and waited. As I returned the paperwork, a familiar face down the hallway said, "hello." It was Dr. Beecroft. Hmmm, I saw him four years ago...does he remember me? The staff at the counter and in the exam room were both excellent and friendly. New faces, though. They hire the best people! When he saw me in the exam room, Dr. Beecroft said he did indeed remember me, not my name or what he'd seen me for, but he remembered where I work and the goal of getting me on my feet (literally) for a busy fall semester. That's amazing! I've never had a doc with that kind of memory and I told him so. He skillfully conducted the exam using an ultrasound machine, showed me what was going on, and very gently gave an injection to reduce inflammation. We discussed the treatment plan moving forward and frankly, that's what I love. Sharing the plan with me is key to my recovery, right? So the GREAT news is, nothing has changed in this office, save for a few renovations. Same superior service, same excellent care, same amazing doc. Thanks, Dr. Beecroft and the team at Ahwatukee Ankle and Foot! You're the best.

My experience with AF&A appears to have been on par with that inflicted upon the other 1 star…read morereviews posted here. The front office folks are unpleasant and actually DO attempt to add bogus charges to your bill. Dr. Richardson was absolutely horrible as a DPM and completely mismanaged my care starting with the first visit. The most telling catastrophe, however, was when I requested a copy of my medical records and they provided me with those of a patient whose name, DOB, and address were clearly not mine . . . even more astounding is that the patient in question is an AMPUTEE and I am not. Please stay away from this practice. If they cannot get their act together they do not deserve to remain in business.
