I LOVE Time Out Beauty Retreat! Its a great place to be pampered and found locally in Spruce Grove…read more I am not actually a mother, but they do offer full child care services for a small fee. I know a few ladies who would appreciate this. The atmosphere is so feminine and fun. The staff truly go out of their way to make you feel pampered. Last year for my mothers birthday 4 of us ladies celebrated at T.O.B.R! They helped customize treatments and provided snacks and refreshments. It was so fun! I actually started going to them because I stumbled upon Time Out's website, which is beautiful! And you can book online! Following them on Facebook is also great, they mention open slots for massages, hair, aesthetics etc... Another awesome perk they participate in is a membership card system. Each visit they mark down the value of your service then once you get to your 10th visit they average out your total spent and give you that amount in free service. I have tried each and every one of their services, from waxing to facials - body wraps to pedicures, I have yet to be dissatisfied. This is my favourite Spa in town!! I recommend it to all my friends.

The salon itself is tucked in by the boxing club, so don't blink as you go by or you'll miss it! The decor is fabulously elegant, I always feel like a queen when I go in for hair color & a cut. My stylist Colleen has over 30 years of experience and she always does an incredible job on my hair, especially for blondes. I'm always greeted warmly at the door, offered a beverage and taken care of immediately. The service is top notch and all the staff I've encountered are amazing. There is a nice selection of products available for sale, and they offer a rewards program for clients as well. If you're looking to change up your style or have grown tired of your old stylist, I highly recommend giving fusion a try. Shop local!

I'm so glad I found this place :)…read more I first visited for a pedicure. I would say that it was an above average pedicure. Then a couple of months later, I was on a Fort Saskatchewan facebook page and saw somebody looking for recommendations of a new hair stylist. Somebody mentioned "Kathlyn" who works at The Retreat. On a whim, I decided to message her to talk about doing some vivid purple in my hair. What really drew me to her is that she took the time to answer my questions. We had a great conversation via facebook messenger when she wasn't even at work. I was scheduled in and was so excited. Kathlyn made sure I was prepared for the Covid precautions that were in place. I felt really comfortable and safe during my appointment. She made great suggestions and we even changed lanes a bit in the appointment based on something she came up with once we had already started working on it. The purple came out beautiful, and she really set me up for success with maintaining it. And even now, she continues to answer my questions about products. Kathlyn is a true superstar. The salon is clean and well organized. And staff are all very friendly and clearly talented.

Small considerations help. Friendly front of house staff. Really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Staff listened and did a great job. I think I have the most difficult hair in the world. I got licked by a cow in a dozen different hair places and I've got three whirpools. I think that it's a myth that guys hair is easier to cut because if you make a mistake, it's all the more visible! I've had two different stylists and they both were nice and were chatty when I was chatty, and let me sit in zen bliss when I was in zen bliss. Gotta know your clients.

I popped into Southgate Centre and took a gander at that cute salon I walk past every time I'm there. I was just a walk-in, but they were able to see me pretty quickly. The receptionist even offered to hang up my jacket, even though I wasn't going to be there very long. My stylist was nice, although she didn't say much. We had a bit of confusion over the length and style that she would be cutting. They looked fine when I left the salon, but when I got home, I realized it was the kind of haircut that only looks good when it's first cut. As soon as I brushed through my bangs or moved them in any way, they had a terrible, choppy look to them. It was not good. I ended up fixing them myself at home. I won't be back for a cut, although props to the friendly customer service from the gals at the front.

I thought i finally caught a break as…read moreevery korean salon is in the south and a 20 min drive/1hr bus ride. the atmosphere is cozy and casual, I've been here twice now. But for being a "master stylist", Debbie has messed up my haircut not once, but twice. I gave her the benefit of the doubt but that was a mistake and i hated my hair until it could grow out and mask the issues. Any good stylist should not have that problem. That was 2 months ago. I'm writing this review now because i went to a korean salon and they cut my hair 100x better than what i had before Uneven sides, bad blunt cuts, poor layers that made my hair lay flat, and she seemed to be unsure of doing hairstyles that weren't your typical asian haircut. She'll follow instructions one moment, then ignore a different set of instructions the next this salon is overpriced. I was charged $300 for hair services which i later found out was a scam because other salons do it at $150. you pay 30 for a men trim that only covers your side and back that Debbie rushes through and finishes in 10 minutes. This is ok for fades but just go to a barber for cheaper... any korean hairstyle out there that isn't two block will look off with only your side and back trimmed but the top growing too long If you're not specifically looking for an asian stylist, yes, I could recommend this salon if not for the surplus in costs. But if you have korean/asian hair like me I recommend just going to an actual korean salon.

Today was my 3rd visit to Life Stiles (http://www.lifestiles.ca/)…read more They offer chiropractic treatments and spa treatments such as massage and laser hair removal. The building itself is kept immaculately clean and the staff have always been uber friendly and professional. I originally purchased a Living Social (think Groupon) deal over a year ago for laser hair removal. I found out shortly after that I was pregnant and was unable to use the voucher. The laser technician, Jillian, offered for me to return after I had my baby and advised that they would extend the expiry date. Since having my baby 9 months ago, I have come for 2 session, with Jillian, who has been an absolute pleasure. I was definitely a little nervous, to say the least, that I may be treated differently because of my voucher but that has not been the case. They have free parking spaces in the back (so don't pay at a meter on 124th street) and a basket of sandals to slip on when you come through the door. You will walk through the Chiropractic area filled with modern items like stability balls and a trampoline. The decor is gorgeous and quite tranquil! The owner, Dr. Greg Stiles, is a chiropractor and I have run into him several times - and is he is as charming as he is handsome. I have overhead him working with patients and he has an amazingly calm and gentle demeanour. Even Jillian, the laser technician I see, has only had wonderful things to say about working for him. In fact, when I consider chiropractic treatments in the future I will start with Mr. Stiles! I also appreciate that they sell items that are health conscious - nail polishes free of dbp, formaldehyde and toluene. The also carry the Juice Plus line of greens and fruits that is supported by Dr. William Sears (www.askdrsears.com) - MY FAVORITE go to doctor and website for all things natural and parenting! They carry a few of his books here and I also was able to check out one of his DVDs to borrow for free! Upon arrival, I am always offered complimentary tea (and they have quite a selection) or chilled water. They have apples and snacks in their tranquil seating area that also boasts a fireplace. I uploaded a few pics - so check them out! I've also picked up some goodies from their clearance bin for my toddler (nail polish free of all that junk I mentioned above) and some high end make up items for myself. Check out their website and you will find a link to both their Chiropractic and their Spa. The website is gorgeous - a real plus in my books! The Chiropractic one has this listed for services: To best assist you in your quest for optimal health, our practice provides many products and services including: Chiropractic care for health matinance, motor vehicle accident treatment and pregnancy Massage therapy and accupuncture Erchonia cold laser tteament Revlar oxidative stress testing Posture analysis Dietary supplements and support Bodo infared sauna Exercise support The Spa site has the following listed under services: Relax, Rejuvenate, Enjoy We are proud to offer top of the line treatments using world renowned product lines and performed by friendly, professional service providers. Acupuncture & Massage Advanced Skin Care Bridal Packages Chemical Peels Facials Feet, Hands and Body Laser Hair Removal Laser Treatments Men`s Treatments Packages Visa Complexion Analysis Waxing and Threading I should also mention that they have evening and weekend appointments available - a definitely plus! I really cannot say enough about the overall atmosphere of this place! I feel very fortunate to have tried them on a Living Social voucher and I definitely see myself continuing to utilize their services! So this is a rarity for me, but I'm giving them 5 stars! I'm not quite sure how I'd rate them for ALL of their services but my experience so far could not have been any better! No.. the inside of the salon isn't your typical uptight, contemporary, modern salon. It's smaller and a little cramped but they make the most out of it. The salon itself has been around for a while and I see why. It was busy when I got there at 6 pm on a Wednesday and it seemed like they knew their customers. For $55 a ladies cut (regular price), I will definitely be back.
